Megabeasts have special corpses and prizes right? If so, adventurers should be able to do that and use the rewards. crafting your own masterwork dragonscale mail shirt would be awesome. On that topic, adventurers should be able to choose skills like leatherworking and such as starting skills. Can DFhack do that?

the first time I got that strange area I had just written a scroll in arena mode , and suddenly I was in a strange green hill with no tree.
I kinda wondered if it was an intentional easter egg. strangely every time I've gone there it has marble. wonder what would happen if I went there without having marble in the raws.

In Rise of The Mushroom Kingdom, one of my favorite things is the system of collectable shining coins that you get from slaying monsters, and then can buy certain stuff using adv reactions. maybe you could try to add a similar system. being able to get branches from trees and craft with them is nice. I especially like the ability to craft crutches.
