Awesome:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Giants/demons can't do jack now to me it seems! :D Tested it like 4+ times, they won't even use strangling as that's the only "easy" way to kill my minothar but instead they try to wrestle and bend some area of the minothar body to no avail. Which is a success!

However I am having problem replacing strong skin (hide) with standard skin (skin) and these didn't quite work right:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It added that skin I wanted but removed the ability to grab from various areas, throat being one of them, odd. That's why I did extra arena testings without those lines. Help? Please?

"Lati Bakedclan the Ships of Raining", goddess of plants, animals, the rain and family.

Hmm, incoherent name. Lemme try making sense of it: So at some point in time this 'Lati' baked a clan or her clan got baked into something what I wonder and I wonder what clan? Either ship or rain clan? And then at some point got a the title 'The Ships of Raining' so she has ships that can rain.. rain what I wonder? Plants? Animals? Rain or Family? Or all of them? Which proabably is the case.

Could be a metaphorical name too and in that case.. *ERROR! CPU MALFUNCTION... REBOOT: (Y/N)*

Heh, sometimes it's just entertaining trying to make these random-arse names somewhat coherent for the hilarity factor. Anyhow:

In my own adventure I've decide (planned really) that before heading back to Dhorna's favorite civs (The Empires of Soaring and my Helmsdeep dwarven/minothar fort-shack) to tell that the nearby demon terror has been dealt with, I figured that I'd kill as many trolls and goblins as possible and then tell about the good news and head east where some night ogress is said to be as I've never fought that one either. The dead scholar's skeletal remains in Dhorna's backpack can wait a few ingame days before getting to the scholar's husband, granted the guy doesn't drop dead somehow in the meanwhile. Save-scumming to do most of the evil things to npcs is healthy if I still want to have this fantasy role-play thing going which I do.

EDIT: Yup, killed dozens of the trolls, goblins and beak dogs more and went to the village to tell of the demon's demise, found my other minothar there (perhaps I can finally retire him to the proper place now). While killing those foes I forgot that the whip's quick attack is more effective than the heavy one and I also had to ignite the grass around Dhorna so she could drink all the frozen blood off of her and equip all of the silk and admantine gear.
However I'm beginning to question if this too works in reverse as game seems to think the skin on minothar is a hide:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

EDIT2: Nevermind, seems that is not the case with them however did have to change a few things around to make my creature feel more alive:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Seems more like a superior take on the default values now, had to give hooves and horns their own thing too because for some reason in the arena without HOOF having that line of code the giants were able to somehow punch my hooves off all the time but not with hooves having the same values as bones. :o That or I messed something up with something as I forgot to add adjustments to cartilage and bones (overlooked a few things) before the arena test as I added the hoof and horn strengths along with the overlooked areas aka fixes. So, yeah, after that I checked how the battle with the demon Spen went now: Only two bruised arms (hide should be skin) due to using dodge and no shield as my greatsword was able to hack of it's feet and hands and platinum whipped the rest. Also the extra horn and hoof density didn't slow minothar's sprinting speed, only added a bit of weight so, I think I don't need to regen the world.

My Hi-Octane crazy blood pumping! :D Planning to do something similar in DF in terms of massacres and genocides.

Hardcore zero-shits-given material right there!

He wasn't preaching to you, he was just thinking it would make the game quite a bit boring and pointless. For some people rpgs are about story, for others its about nurturing a character, for yet others it's the fun of minmaxing.

That means that you are free to enjoy only the story parts, but that doesn't mean others cannot ask you why you don't enjoy the other bits. No need to get so defensive, especially if you feel you have reasonable reasons for creating characters like these.

Aye, true. Back when I played Arx Fatalis for example I cheated to get all stats at the max and had fun experiencing the story and killing my foes without worry of death, I liked being the only good character in evil Ylside armor and using an unbreakable greatsword.

And sorry, quite a lot of RL mental turmoil on my plate right now. I do apologize for my overly defensive reaction.

What's the point of playing RPG games then? If you don't like working to develop and build up your character why don't you play games that have even playing fields that are based purely on skill (CS, LoL, DotA 2, Wargame, etc)?

The games you mentioned, I dislike all of them and I am not competitive (I hate competition and competitions). RPGs have story and interaction, dialog and choices but the thing is I always have liked being a superbeing from point A in those games. That's just the way it is with me and the way it'll always be, kinda wish that wasn't the case but I suggest (if you feel like it of course, I don't care) you read up 'autism', 'asbergers' and 'intermittent explosive disorder' to get the gist of what problems I'm suffering from since childhood.

I like RPGs but I just can't play them normally, believe me I've tried since Neverwinter Nights. I end up worse than I was before playing the game normally.
That's why I cheat and play how I BLOODY WANT! >:(

EDIT: I avoid MMO and other multiplayer games like a plague so I stick with singleplayer games where I can play how I want. I like RPG but I don't like leveling and grinding.
Seriously, everytime I tell someone how I play games someone like you comes and lays their bullshit on me of how it's wrong and blah blah blah. Argh! *frustrated facepalm*

The only build for me is the jack-of-all-trades god build, not just a mere demigod but a god/godess aka super(my custom creature) from point A with all skills and abilities at 5000 (50 I guess ingame but it doesn't show that).

I hate limitations so I play games as something who is somewhat unlimited, has been the case since the first RPG game that I've played. If I can't cheat I just don't play as I hate MMORPG like grinding and frustration, games are meant to be an escape, a way to relax and have fun and this is how I do it in RPG games as I role-play the character and not the leveling-up shite. No offense meant.

I finally killed that lizard demon/black brute, only knowing it by the name of Spen (gigantic lizard with external ribs, squirms and fidgets, black scales round and overlapping and a poisonous sting. It was associated with misery) and after it refused to yield and stop attacking me I named it 'Coward Spen' and its profession 'Shit-Master' and then eventually after damaging it I jammed its skull through its brain with my minothar-sized mastercraft platinum whip.

Why call that demon a coward? Because it was the only wuss in the large slade room besides a goblin lady there who I talked with a bit and when found her to be like those fucking peons back in the human village I gruesomely offed her unarmed with final blow being Dhrona ripping the goblins head off with teeth. The demon had the tenacity to call Dhorna a coward.. what an insult because there she is in front of that clown with only a magical invisible backpack on her back, a greatsword and a whip in her hands and with murder in her eyes and grin on her mouth.

Read the legends and Zemri was the deity who released/helped that thing so I guess next stop: slaughter the humies in the Golden Kingdoms but before that I gotta take a break.

Uhm.. exactly the reason I drew my own mark of Khorne.

On topic: Yeah, tasks/quests are indeed this vague. Way around that is to pay attention and find a guide/random person who knows places, someone who knows about the locations. I myself only got a minotuar's exact place from a goblin lasher/scout as the lord said that the minotaur was somewhere around the region only but not the location where he was.

It's fine, I myself only really play as demigod or hero adventurers, just to give a bit of that edge at the start - I have some modded super-races, but I rarely play as them - ie. the vrykul, which are half the size of giants, titans, which can throw fireballs and shoot very dense stone that can knock people back if it hits them in the upper/lower body or the head, and especially the "spiderlord" caste for the nerubians and "starspawn" and "c'thraxx" castes for the faceless ones, all 3 of which are pretty much semi/megabeasts - starspawn especially since they innately know some psychic abilities like binding limbs, crushing lungs, or casting a slowing spell, and can also drive sentients crazy with maddening whispers - all that on top of being only slightly smaller than dragons at adult age and having rather high innate combat skills, things I really have to change.

They all seem quite awesome in their own way! :o And yeah, anti-climatic deaths suck, like when I made that elven demigod lass and she followed around my drogoth female only to somehow get into the flowing river with her and fall to her death once my drogoth adventurer fell down the waterfall with no damage and the elf got splattered against the water/ground somewhere. The elf could fight dragons and demons and whatnot with proper equipment due to her max stats and skills and what killed her? A mundane fall from the cliff. *facepalm* Eh, at least it was just one simulation test scenario.. back when I tried ways to get the elf to teach my main outsider adventurer dance forms.

Mind you this is as a flying steelboned intelligent dragon.

Funny how the last readable line is this: "The muscular dorf Elite Wrestler legendary hero punches you in the [MORE]" ..uhh, do we even wanna know [MORE] where she punched you?

EDIT: Just got (or just read really) a PM from Laczkers, someone who had an account here but got banned for making a thread about finding some adult ascii game in his/her computer and the thread got out of hand a tad it seems (I myself made one reasonable post there IMO asking why violence in games is okay and sex in games is not). Anyway the point is he/she wants to let folks here in this particular part of the forum know that he/she is back by the name of Laczkers. Apart from that, I'm just the messenger. Not sure what more is going on, if at all. I'm confused. :-\

Killing bogeys? That's pretty hardcore, even as a giant slayer I wouldn't dare fight bogeys - screw them.

IIRC my one of my first dingo man or maybe dingoth got killed by bogeys. I scrapped dingoth and replaced added drogoth (hairless demonic/mutant enlarged lynx) instead, then later added kobolths (demonic enlarged kobolds) and then a minothar (hairless demonic/mutant minotaur, currently smaller from regular minotaurs). So, I've been taking down bogeys since proper drogoths. I do agree that they are quite nimble and takes a few tries to off some bogey's head sometimes.

I'm sorry if readers of my shenanigans/adventures find it boring. Personally I honestly just can't deal with seeing that deceased screen of my adventurer and just accept it as I just can't, when I played as a kobolth that damn demon/clown killed him many times and I did not enjoy it one bit especially when 60-80% of it was dodging or blocking or running away to gain some momentary distance and damaging it did almost fuck all. I grew so frustrated and so hell-bent on killing that thing until I finally struck it's head jamming it's skull into it's brain with artifact platinum whip and a lot of save-scumming was involved to kill it.

For my own mental health and sanity I must play as an OP creature able to deal with any foe and not get damaged and even if the creature gets damaged the damage should heal fast because once I see that deceased screen I instantly get irritated and pissed off and sometimes way too much and it has been the case in all games with me. I just hate losing and I'm not competitive. Losing in games has always been the most unfun experience for me personally, if I keep losing way too much I just rage quit and tend to take out my rage and hate out in real life.

I've never battled with a zombie or a necromancer because I've never found one yet and since the beings I've played as never age so they are free from mortal concerns.
Just the way I like it though and If I'm gonna be a necromancer I'd rather be the one able to fully restore and regenerate a dead being before it died and had injuries.

Yeah I know such a thing needs extra coding and raws and whatnot plus a a few dialogs about once dead npc reacting "Where am I? How am I alive? Am in Valhalla?".

Anyhow, I'm thinking I won't be reverting my save just so those two irritating npcs would be alive again. What happened, happened. It was about time those buffoons realize that you don't mess with or say no to a minothar, especially when the minothar in question tries to bring peaceful existence to the world and that can't come to exist if some idiot peons blither about war and just won't change their minds, ever.

Argh! Decided to do battle with the demon again this time it is some sort of a lizard. Problem is I found the first big issue in the long while with my minothar and the issue being: body parts being able to be dented (they don't heal at all unlike organics), so I did this in the raw:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The highlighted red ones is the issue here as those values were on the all of the materials before the change and now only bones dent (I checked), I need them to be fractured if damage is done so it heals. Denting doesn't heal. Just need to find/get the right number there.

EDIT: Ah, there. Fixed. all the bone _STRAIN_AT_YIELDs at 2000, and cartilage's at 3000, muscle and skin at 25000! Now the damage done by the demon(s) at least heals and nothing gets torn off! Only ligament and nerve damage which I've set to heal. Whew.

Clearly, it is time to become a bronze colossus adventurer.

Nah, a minothar is far greater than a bronze colossus. They are designed to be a versatile mutant minotaur creature ranging from love "demons" to actual demons of hellish rage.
First I have to get out of my depression as my brain is out of energy to read and think mentally when reading stuff from DF.

Ugh, would love to see my drogoths and minothars wreak havoc in 3D instead of reading about the action. I don't know how you guys cope but I keep running into this physical visual sensory deprivation to the point that once I look at something with my eyes properly I can feel my eyes screaming "I wanna see the action, damnit!" and then I feel kinda depressed. I would play some other RPG game in 3D but none of the games I know of provide what I seek and it's stressing me out for months now.

If Neverwinter Nights or Pillars of Eternity offered you to play as a gnoll or a minotaur in the story then I'd be playing those games right now but nooo.. human this and humanoid that. It's always some sort of human you can usually play as and only those grindy and laggy MMORPGs tend to get some playable monster treatment but not singleplayer RPGs. Driving me up the bloody walls.

Sorry for going off topic with a rant.

EDIT: To stay on topic. I'm thinking of dropping Dhorna's stuff somewhere so I could pick them up as an evil minothar outsider and make them artifact in quality. Or just turn Dhorna to the side of evil which is the most preferable for my own health and need.

EDIT2: Read the adventures of others here finally after recovering from the gunk I was in and I gotta say that I seem to get "cloven asunder" alot more as a minothar than as a drogoth due to minothar's size. Explains why I can never quite slash a goblins head off with a greatsword without cleaving it asunder and I've found hoof kicks, punches and gores quite brutal and satisfying finally (used be just hacking heads clean off). Also my platinum whip sized for a minothar can make even trolls propel away by the attack. :D

You've enlightened him to the true meaning of peace, via the eternal peace. :V

Heh, yeah. Had to kill another villager (furnace operator) who also refused to see my values. Ugh, I feel so dark today, so much so that killing goblins and trolls seems meaningless but killing humies does.
