The length is okay. At first it always scare me but then after some minutes i find myself laughing like a crazy together with the witch wizard and even forgetting about the length :v

Oh, and i always saw the end of the post with the overall situation of the game as an kind of "TLDR" it wont hurt.

So,me and dukington waits for the next dungeon? Or he can realize he spent too much time claiming that he is a real elf and not a duck and run to the dungeon and say:

"Quack.quack?QUACK!quack. quack" ?

Translation: "Duki wanna join, duki wanna smash. Duki can join? IF NOT I WILL SMASH YOUR FACE! oh sorry, i got overwhelmed. angry issues..."

(Oh and the gift, hmmm metal elf ears of agression? giving attack or power?)

As Miss Wizard is now firmly on our side, we could just just break the minds of the knights and Duke, then let her play puppet master to the entire duchy. Converting some of them willingly will make things easier for her and I imagine would improve secrecy as well.

I'd suggest converting/breaking the knights, then finally break the Duke.
+1 Have some of the cult members invite a couple of knights to a meal.

I'm all for converting those knights - nice and slowly.
Having a few top-notch trained men turn over to us, will benefit us greatly. Well, more like our plans. Still, having a few dark knights to protect our cultists and wordbearers, is something we might want to spend a bit of power on.

Also ask the witch if she knows any of the kights well enough to assist in converting them.
We should ask the priest too.
The priest is a slave, I don't think he has the mental ability to answer
But we can just invade what his mind knew. Like we did with the city guards and the priests, and both could provide information about the duke. So...

Have the wizard tell the duke the priests were interrogating a Necromancer they believed to be the source of the evil, and that they'd make a report when they were done. Add that they have gotten a confession of working with the town witch to incite a riot.

The best human would have 10 mental power, so at absolute worst we outstrength the Wizard and High-Priest by 30%. It would be costly, but we'd win it. This assumes they are both the epitome of human mental ability (which I doubt) and that they work together perfectly (which I also doubt).

Thus if it comes to it, we can subdue the Duke-elect's magical backup. The bigger problem would be his knights who we can hopefully keep at bay until we are able to mentally subdue them as well.

This is all assuming everything goes tits up and it turns into a fight between just Nokgluvgn and the Ducal party.



However, I think we should use this excellent opportunity to convert as many of these people as possible. This will give us serious influence across the rest of the dukedom. Ideally they would all be willing converts, but at worst we could just break all their minds and let a promising Wordbearer puppet them all from the shadows.

Besides of just carrying things around with our arms...

We have 2 hours left, do a chain like that to transport more and faster than our Cu limit's in our back. Transport cargo to where our chain can reach, move everybody, start chain again. Some will need to rearrange things, make two plantmin give some of the heavier cargo to another couple or the 4 plantmins to just move the closed crate/bodies.

How much cargo the backpack's help us to carry? wear one of those, make the punpkins wear one of those, if needs to use a suit to use the backpack use one of the three backpacks yourself and make two plantmins wear the others two suits+backpacks
(Note: later do some backpack with the bugs wings)

Make sure you help personally the injured plantmin, saying sweet words that everything is gonna be alright

If even with all that is not enough to bring easily the goods, the first one to be included in the list of "we can bring then later" is the locked crate,we need the corpses for more biomass.

We rile up the town into an anti-witch fervor, slightly corrupting the mayor to assist us. Also, we corrupted the priest. If it didn't work, we ate him.

We wouldn't just ate him, we  would have destroyed somehow his vocal cords and we just admired how he tries to call for help while hanged by some kind of hook on top of the temple while we did our "redecoration" in the temple, with runes carved in his flesh he slowly was drained of every drop of blood that was collected and drunk by us. Later, after his silent dispair vanishing, we ate him.

Power not being used does what? nothing? if we use all the power they will still rest? if yes, then shall some continue to reinforce the temple, worship us and get some resources, make our smokewraiths continue the scouting around Nuulyd and other villages

How about the other prisoners? Say the guard that we could "Convert more criminals in a the new way of the church of redeeming and purifying the mans hearts"

Corrupt even more the bored criminal, if he has career he should have a bit more of experience, and a bit less of scrupulous, see if he is willing to worship us even more, tempt him with power, promise that he will be never bored again, make him a wordbearer, and then make him say about having seen the wrong and stupidity of his oldways, and how things are gonna change from now on in the supervision of the church (or make him a smokewraith?)

(I am trying to repeat over the peoples minds the words "oldway" and "newway" maybe that could give us an kind of psychological help making our words enter easier in the peoples minds later)

Get the Brutewolves in the surrounding forests to breeding more, to see if it is possible. Have them attack travelers and after feasting on them steal their valuables. Their Den is the Temple in the Forest. Should they have too much food they are to bring it to the  Temple - alive. Barely. So their pups learn how to kill.
+1 holyfuckyes, our trap is a small temple now. (But for the tunnels and stuff you said it is better wait for the town to be ours,we could repeat the process of the underground temple we did in fellshore and it could really connect the prison to the temple as smaller "forts" inside the city so in case the enemies invade our city we could succeed in guerrilla while trapped at our walls, hmmm you gave me a long-term idea hehehe)

As for the option of taking over the town, remember that most of those priests came from other towns. We can return them to there, and have them preach the new way - but without some glamour, like our wordbearers can use, the people won't listen easily. Luckily, our enslaved priests, can easily introduce the new priest-acolytes from Nuulyd, which will take over the village shrines now lacking a priest.

All in all, I'd be all for "taking over" Nuulyd, and thus entirety of the local church.

Our broken priests could give us enough information about their villages, the broken guards could tell more about Nuulyd and the local militia or threats, we can say that we need some time with the priesthood here to make some more "cleaning procedures" and instead corrupt Nuulyd and whatever priest-acolytes we could find, later we send our broken priests back to their towns and stick to the plan

(Can we boost someones persuasion? Make the priest's work of corruption easier? They are broken we know but they can be useful for the long run)

I am sure we can agree it's time to move on to the next town, to spread our influence. At the same time, though, our Wordbearer has done well for us. She deserves a toy or two to play with. We should let her take her picks of the litter. Let her feel agency on how many, but, curb her greed after two are chosen.
+1 But she can only choose the guards. Maybe she could be a strong candidate to rulling Nyluud in our ausence after the taking, and this will make our followers more willing to do crazier stuff that we ask in anticipation of the reward
