Formerly 'You are a magical demon girl'. Discaimer: I am hosting this with knowing next to nothing about similarly named games, so expect something...different!
Demons, devils, lovecraftian monsters are real, beings of unfathomable depth and complexity. They represent concepts beyond human comprehension. To them Earth is just a speck of dust in the void. Or it was...until everything changed.
Three friends, three girls are going to have their life turned upsidedown on an adventure of magic, body horror, and love.

Patron Demon: the devil, cthulhu, something with a wikipedia article.
A Body Horror Power: Direct attack. Face splitting open to reveal toothy mouth, long claws growing, etc.
S Body Horror Power: Support. Eyeballs popping out to fly around like drones, turning into an out of phase ghost, etc.
Something your powers make you do that causes social difficulties: drinking blood, turn into a werewolf on a full moon, etc.

There is a way of thinking I was recently exposed to that was different to my own.
This style of thinking was that individual battles don't matter, only overall consistency.
To contrast this, my thinking is each battle is important, so I optimize to make sure my minimum chance of success is as high as possible.
The maximum success rate style does have obvious advantages, the gains from those more consistent victories gives greater resources, thus ensuring higher minimum chance of success, potentially, over myself who focused solely on that from the beginning.
So is my style obsolete? In a dog eat dog world, yes.
However, in a cooperative society my specializing can be an advantage.
Say the nation was at war, in the longterm a maximum success strategy should win. However, if one battle has particular importance, that to lose would be to lose everything, then if there was a general representing either style, the high minimum success rate general would have to be considered. A high maximum success rate general is not interested in covering all of their weaknesses, such as less commonly fielded ones. They could either switch to my style of thinking for this one battle, or gift me their resources and use my trained thinking to harness them.
If victory is black and white, they may still be the better option. But if there are gradients of success, then my style will stave off the worst possible outcomes.

General Discussion / Emails for thread notifications not working

MadMonkey and I have not been getting our emails for threads with 'notify' on. For him this has been months, but for me just since Nov 25 four days ago. I always thought it was odd, but seeing it happen to me I know it can happen even if the settings are still set properly.
I checked my spam folders, and all mail and they definitely stopped. There is activity in my watched threads, and easily enough that it would have prompted an email in the past.

Realizing 26 sessions of Hurt and Heal would take longer than I am interested in, I've decided to to do them all at once!!!
We'll keep the scores from the last thread, and the first thread. You may add any Bay 12 forum game to the list, add it in alphabetical order. Once a game has 20 points, all others of that letter are removed.
Turns:
-Add a forum game to the list with 2 points.
-Heal an existing fg 2 points.
-Hurt an existing fg by 2 points. If it goes below 1, erase it from the list. (It can be revived)
-Hurt 1 and Heal 1.

I am creating this thread as a kind of show-and-tell area, for news you want to highlight for your guild to go into a periodic Guild Digest of happenings with the guilds in Keyforged.
Also feel free to use this as a neutral place to discuss partnerships between two or more guilds, somewhere to not clutter the main guild thread if you'd like.
Please try to include at least something, we'll say once a week minimum. If a guild doesn't communicate then it's not really a part of a shared experience, and wont be linked in the main thread until they report something.
If it's too much trouble, appoint someone in your guild to make a report here.

Guild Hall Inventory Ledger
_To the immediate north of Keyforged lies nothing but sub-arctic scrubland. These moors are easy to walk through, and pleasant fragrances of near wildflowers and gatherable berries waft enticingly through the air.
The west is mostly a large grassland containing many birds and mammals. One of the more notable creatures there are the wolves.
We have found the reason that the east has lacked much travellers, and that is the threat of war....a war so large that if we are not prepared we may get dragged in it...

B5: The Adventuring Villa is two stories surrounding a courtyard with terracotta rooves. Founded by Bruv Brightbuckle. They log the expeditions of those who wish to leave town to raid dungeons and have a chance of coming back with treasure. Go here to participate in a dungeon raid party. (Roll-To-Dodge)
D5: The Smithing Workshop is big as to house elaborate workstations and equipment. Founded by the local Aywen Ayes. Enables the community to make weapons and tools. (Crafting)
E1: The Idling Bonfire began when the founder, Mysterious Stranger, was given a tent to claim a plot of land, the wooden poles and fabric were dropped on this spot, and never finished. One prospective recruit came here to check the guild out but stumbled and knocked over a lantern. the Idle Guild tent burned down, rather than extinguishing it- they have turned the burning mess into a permanent bonfire. This is the start of a potentially much bigger game if there is enough interest. Gameplay is designed and run by everyone who participates, and it all starts with a modest mapping guild at the intersection of a simple crossroads. Ripe with potential to grow into a town.
What ever this town gets named, will be the meta name for the game as a whole. Participants open new guilds to add a new gameplay mechanic, such as combat, currency, or farming. Those who join the guild vote on changes to those mechanics, and help as DMs of those aspects of play. Players can join more than one guild, so long as they are prepared for the additional duties!

- Wait for the previous cycle to expire. A Travel Cycle must last at least 3 days.
- Ask for the locations of the 3 rare drops from the host of the previous cycle.
- Announce the outcomes of the previous cycle, and place the items the travelers obtained in the Keyforged Inventory Ledger.
- PM the 3 rare drop locations to another Cartography Guild member, and announce who that is when you begin the cycle.
Treasure Hunt
- Please finish a Travel Cycle off before starting a Treasure Hunt, or ask someone else to finish it.
- Hide one or more things in the 5x8 Keyforged map.
- PM these locations to another Cartography Guild member, and announce who that is when you begin the hunt.

Welcome! I've lost all faith in my vision for the game, but players are having fun so I'm already planning the sequel(s). Let's beat this dead horse back to life!
I have no idea what I am doing, but as long as you don't know that and I keep an air of confidence you'll literally watch the Titanic sink before your eyes in HD slow-mo, and ask when the next update is coming.
Most of the work of hosting forum games could and probably should be automated.
Honestly, the most fun I have is designing, not hosting. I actually have felt more fulfilled from this meme game, than most of the one's I've slaved over. I think I just like giving people an excuse to have fun together, and this seems to do that. ♥️
I could probably host this game on other forums and be more praised, appreciated, and loved. However the AI discovered humans reject the paradise simulation, and I'm stuck here. I swear the carrot on the string is getting closer!
In 1000 years when my body turns to dust, forum games will be the only evidence of my existence. An existence that will probably only be analyzed out of random chance rather than for having accomplished anything great. I think about this often.
When this inevitably spawns numerous clones by others, it will become extremely popular, and form it's own clique, Discord, and lingo. Those who riff on it too much, or God forbid, make something new, will be shamed and scorned for making an experimental game that doesn't finish instead of making a standardized clone with no soul. We will call such a person, the worst forum game host ever!
As the creator of this trend, I will use my clout and lord it over everyone else, as my ego is stroked by all and grows massive. I will only make 1 game every 2.5 years at most, but it will already be a cult classic before the first update. I'll use my skills—not to create something new—but scout up-and-coming talent that has gone unnoticed, and steal their idea! Hey, cut me some slack. I'll link to it, but I'll also host it at the same time so it is buried, ignored, and my game thus seems justified as, "Look! No one played the other one!"
And last, but most importantly, I will use my own shortcomings to fuel petty grudges instead of actually addressing reasonable problems within my power to improve! Maybe I'll make a meme game to vent about it someday...

- You must be a 3+ years experience pixel artist, if not you will be shunned.
- You need 5+ years experience playing this game to play this game.
- If you are popular enough the requirements will be waived, and we will actually make an effort to get you started. Everyone is popular enough. This is due to a rounding error.
- There will be many errors in this game. But you are too polite to mention them, so they will all be made canon

Welcome! I've lost all faith in my vision for the game, but players are having fun so I'm already planning the sequel(s). Let's beat this dead horse back to life!
I have no idea what I am doing, but as long as you don't know that and I keep an air of confidence you'll literally watch the Titanic sink before your eyes in HD slow-mo, and ask when the next update is coming.
Most of the work of hosting forum games could and probably should be automated.
Honestly, the most fun I have is designing, not hosting. I actually have felt more fulfilled from this meme game, than most of the one's I've slaved over. I think I just like giving people an excuse to have fun together, and this seems to do that. ♥️
