They may have one day.
...actually how long is the day/night cycle for their planet? I'm intending approximately 1 earth-day, but if the length of a day for them is dramatically outside that area, just modify it to something closer.
(Their day/night cycle is almost exactly half that of Terra, at six-hour days and nights of the same for an even twelve hours. One full Terran day would be equivalent to two of theirs.)
Two days, then.

Give them a choice between being a protectorate and being assimilated.

Start by leaning on common ground, but then move onto how the galaxy is a dangerous place that they are unready to face, and that we can offer protection. +1 to at some point also explaining how we learned their language.

Tell them that the Galaxy is a dangerous place, they would be better off under our protection.

Might as well take what we can, I don’t see much benefit in treating them as equals since our military power is so much stronger.

I think we should also explain what our Prognosticator did, as means of an explanation for how we are able to communicate with them. And besides, being known to be able to read minds is likely very impressive.

Have a Guardsman or crewman instead hand over a lasgun or autogun in exchange, and have one of the Prognosticators sweep the area for psychic activity, before then reading one of the Xenos' minds if no psychic power nearby can be found.

They really, really don't need a bolter of any variety but xenos with lasguns or, even more hilarious, autoguns, would be of very little concern for us.

Girtek has clambered down into the pit, looking through the materials revealed. They take the spider's web-gland - a good source for a rather unique material - before reaching the bottom.
Before reaching the Shard of Creation.
What... is this?

Talnior, Chapter Master of the Watchtower, is a Heretek Chosen by Prophesy (yes, literally).
The nature of Talnior's equipment is not, in fact, particularly divergent from that of the everyday Battle-Brother - Astartes-grade power armor and a bolt rifle fitted with a bayonet. However, it is the modifications he has made that set his equipment apart: the servos of his armor have been tuned up to permit significantly faster movement and reactions despite the significantly-thickened plating, and two Forge Bolters have been mounted on it for additional fire rates, while his personal bolt rifle - the Eye of Death - has been enlarged and reworked to allow for a higher rate of fire with larger ammunition as well as an increased effective range. Additionally, to serve his heretekal ways, Talnior is equipped with numerous servo-arms, with a toolbox/arsenal second only to the Master of the Forge's servo-harness.

I like what glass has except for the one thing.

Talnior, Chapter Master of the Watchtower, is a Heretek with a Silver Tongue (no, not literally, although such would not be entirely out of the question).

The Faceless Prince once again exits their domain. They're carrying a number of scrolls under their arm, and... they seem to be wearing a beret, for some reason?

Once they reach the "common area" of the divinities, they start opening and spreading the scrolls, revealing...
Potential uplift path for the Termin. Apologies, my focus has been elsewhere.
Spoiler: Telit proposal (click to show/hide)
I presently only have access to a Trade Act, so I would be glad to discuss the final specifics of these beings with any willing to assist with their creation. Their material is non-negotiable, however, due to their origins.

The Faceless Prince blearily steps out of their abode, places their Knowledge Act in the First Step to be recovered later, starts to jot down two ideas, then notices Gibeele's work. They shrug, leaving some opinions behind before returning to the Auric Spires. They appear to be preoccupied with other things.

I say that the thread as a whole is from the Chapter Master's perspective, and that for RP purposes, players can portray themselves as high-ranking Astartes with the CM's ear.

Death World, built among old ruins as a symbol of the empire we're going to build atop the corpse of the old one.
Yes, on the Deathworld, built among and integrating a fully-surveyed section of the old ruins.

The planet is formally designated Antwir, but "heck" is a common nickname for it.

Girtek... just starts firing crossbow bolts at the small spiders. Some of the bolts appear to be made of spider silk, but they pierce just as well as the rest.

(Per rolls, 3 total damage dealt to the swarm, including Fray damage.)
