Welcome to Eastern Scaesia! It is currently turn -1, and you have two designs to develop and vote for. You will also have to write-up lore for your new country, but for now, a new name for your country and capital will do. The best lore will win a research credit that will help with a new design.

Eastern Scaesia
Western Scaesia

The year is 1926. The world has recently recovered from the Great War, and many countries are seeing immense economic growth. Amidst the vapid consumerism, the country of Scaesia is in political turmoil. While both parties hold more or less the same political stances, one side is funded by the Republic of Fusciaya, while the other is funded by the Federation of Ryman. The point of contention is of course oil, which Scaesia is swimming in (not literally).
The mostly verbal arguments turned violent when the home of the President of Scaesia, where him and his cabinet were attending a Christmas celebration, was 'bombed'. Without a clear source of the explosion, both sides pointed the blame on the other, and within the week, had divided country. The party funded by RF took control of Eastern Scaesia and its swamplands and coniferous forests, while the party funded by FR held down Western Scaesia and its rolling hills and desert. Between the impassable mountains and the Cerulean Sea, the vast fields of goldenrod flowers are divided between the two sides by the river Yyrick, where the original capital sits.
A temporary armistice exists, but only for long enough so each side can assemble their forces.

Welcome to my first AR! You will be joining either Eastern Scaesia (backed by the Republic of Fusciaya) or Western Scaesia (backed by the Federation of Ryman). You are tasked with developing and revising your forces to defeat your opponent using an army inspired by all things dieselpunk! This will be pretty standard as far as Arms Races go, but there will be multiple events for both sides to take part in that will greatly aid you in the war.
To begin, there will be two prep turns during which you will have two designs and two revisions per phase available to you. These will help round out your 'core force' for the battles to come. You will also be in charge of forming the lore for your side, and establishing a new capital city.

What can be said about this solar system that hasn't been said before?  A barren planet with a balanced atmosphere orbits a single pale white star at the perfect distance. Nothing grows or lives on this rock, at least not yet. Where they came from, or how they were made is not important, for the Titans have arrived to mold this solar system in their image:

The first was Bluewild, a blue titan of water and reef. While this young planet is lacking in oceans, they will likely change that in short order.
The second was Devaoltl, a colorful winged serpent of shapeshifting. Within its leviathan-like visage lies a mischievous spirit, sure to bring about the best of times, as well as the worst.
The third was Beawulf, a she-wolf with a brilliant azure-white coat. A titan of lands and forests, their spirit wishes to resonate with the creatures of the wild.
The fourth was Felikia, a foil to Beawulf in the shape of a tan cougar. Their desire to create and protect felines in their image is their only priority.
The fifth was Gaia, a humanoid titan made up of the fundamentals of the physical world. As one with them, Gaia wishes to create and preserve life and the ecosystem itself.
The sixth was Aug Zarunth'ul, a toad with many faces. Their goals are the most mysterious, although a titan with only selfish desires will more than likely bring chaos unto the world. While he was slowest amongst the group, he certainly won't be the last Titan to awaken.

To the mortal eye, the planet is just a round sphere, but to the titans, they see it is made up of 24 unique partitions, along with a frozen north and southern pole. As the planet is fresh and unstable, any changes to the surface of it have a reduced cost.

We all know how these 'Inspired by so-and-so' games go. You copy and paste their original post, pull out a thesaurus, and then change the words around enough so that it looks like you wrote the whole damn thing yourself. Well, I respect your intelligence enough to not do that. Instead, I'm just gonna copy the last Titans of Creation post word for word (tweaking some numbers here and there) and not waste time getting this game out to the public.

You know what this is, this is a Titans of Creation clone! In this game each player takes on the role of a powerful Titan responsible for spending their stockpile of 1,000 finite points to make the world, the mortal life within, and the mystical forces both magic and divine without. The rules, point prices, and Titan sheets are below. There will be a soft limit of six players, but I might allow more because I like to overestimate how much writing I can handle.

Roll To Dodge / Lousy Gods
« on: June 03, 2019, 12:26:17 pm »
The gods of myth are all-powerful beings, capable of forging beautiful lands, creating majestic beasts, and developing empires that last multiple centuries.

That god, is not you.

You may have unlimited power, but what happens when you try to wield that power is random. This wouldn't be too big of a deal, if it wasn't for the fact that each failure causes the universe to destabilize. Too many failures, and the world you create will vanish into nothing, and you'll be forced to start over. You can attempt to undo or fix a failed action to bring some stability back, but repeat failures will have dire consequences.

Code: (Your god) [Select]
Name:
Color:
Aspect: (one word)

No player limit, and no set turns. Do your worst.

Just a simple god game using a modified RTD ruleset. Results will still be the same, but 1s and 6s will be much less likely to show up.

Roll To Dodge / Not Another God Game

Sup

Standard RTD rules.
Info here if you're new to this part of the forums.

Spoiler: Fill this out: (click to show/hide)

Game will have a karma system. Do things that are good, orderly, and boring, and your 1s and 6s will be a little less bad. Do bad, chaotic, and the usual ass-hat god things, and your 1s and 6s will be a lot more fun...for me.

Get it? Got it? Good. Let's get started.

Roll To Dodge / Roll to Dodge: In Space!!
« on: October 13, 2016, 03:13:59 pm »
Just a simple, space themed RTD game. I'm looking for between 4 and 8 people, though I'm sure we can make it work with more.

As a refresher, here is how the dice rolls will look:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I originally had a thrilling backstory, with a list of classes and skills you could pick and choose from, but that just seems...boring. Instead, I'm going to take your character submissions, use your character biography to give you stats and skills, and then build a world around all of your submissions. Should be a lot of work fun!

Without further ado:
Spoiler: Character Application (click to show/hide)

Turns will last between 24 and 48 hours, depending on the amount of players. Of course, if everyone submits their action I might go ahead and post the next one early. I personally prefer if people post a chain of actions, so you don't have to spend a full turn just running to where you want to go. It's always better to submit too much than too little. Talking is a free action, so feel free to monologue if you want, without fear of having your turn cut short. If you miss a turn, I'll allow your next turn to be slightly longer.

Feel free to ask questions here, or message me.
