You know, I notice that I don't seem to be on the list. Did I forget to ask? I thought I had.

Well, anyway. Comrade Spin wishes to be your mild-mannered bookkeeper / secret head of the Bureau of Wet Work, who arranges for the cataloguing, summation, and, when necessary, subtraction of party assets.

Could have sworn you're there. I'll check. *checks* Oh. Huh. I thought I did. Well, I was planning on Kommizar Ivan to do all managering and bookkeeping, but I'm sure he'll look for someone to take over some duties. As long as they're in the same room so he can keep an eye on them.

[Edit] You were put in the 'helped with stuff' part, not the dorfing part.

Sanctume; unknown for now

Sanctume would like the one wields the axe who chops the heads of anyone.  Someone has to enforce orderz.

You can be Chief of ElfChopping. And train the ax-dwarfz.

I'm more in favour of one type for each civ, with something more subtle like [NAME:elf:elves:fascist], so while they show up as 'the fascist civilization of xxx' in Legends, but still appear as elves when you meet them in creature mode. Also prefer hostile dwarf civ to be the royalists (bourgeois) since it's more thematically appropriate :P.

It might be possible to make the capitalist spies attempt to trigger loyalty cascades (capitalist subversion!) amongst your population, but that might be a little too much to deal with for poor Komissar Ivan, who'll have to deal with all the mods we've laden upon him.

Hmm. I like that best. :D And yes, that is more thematically. Maybe make an edit to the capitalist one that gives them royalist allies in a similar fashion?

according to the future of the fort update, no matter how far away a civ is we can send squads out to them. And if we harass them into war then they will attack despite the distance.

Beautiful. MUWAHAHAHAHA!

I have an idea for this fort.

Suppose there is some sort of a  capitalist "resistance" force, basically just a group of random dwarves. What if we caused an intentional loyalty cascade that made this resistance force hostile to the other dwarves? We could have a challenge where you have to make sure to keep the two factions separated or all hell would break loose. Roleplay is as trying to keep the peace between two groups of different ideologies. Encounters, when they do happen, will also need to be meticulously managed to prevent more dwarves from getting caught up in the quarrel.

Comerade. We are here to destroy filthy capitalist and fascist and anarchist pigs. Not keep the peace between them. Commisar Ivan hunt capitalist scum down and give them the beating they deserve!

Before I forget; jail cells: large open room with a chain every 3 spaces, or blocks of 12 1x3 rooms in a rough + shape around a central stair/small room.

Should we change the names of the humans, elves, etc. to the political ideas they follow? And even make a split of the dwarven culture into capitalist and communist dwarves as two separate entities? I think that that would add a lot more flavor to this. We could possibly even make splinter cells of each following for each race. Like fascist elves, capitalist elves, and communist elves.

We probably could. But it would be tricky getting all civs close by. Although it would result in capitalist dorf sieges which could be cool.

All chains. Without chains hammering is reduced to beating.

Best jail setup would be no jail at all so hammering is the default punishment.
Without a jail there will only be beatings, no hammering or imprisonment.

Alright. Thanks! :3

arnt all forts communist since the economy is disabled?

but anyway, the injustice system only punishes any random dwarf that a noble decides should be punished for not completing a mandate, or for bringing something to a trade depot that the noble has said shouldent be traded.

the best way to get lots of hammerings is to become the mountianhome so that you get the monarch, and all the other lazy nobles who will sit around making mandates all day.

then just ignore the mandates and enjoy as your entire population is slaughtered by their own judicial system, causing everything in your fort to grind to a halt due to a lack of workers.

Everyone has every labor enabled. So no lack of workers.

234
A baron who likes aluminium and beds.

I'm talking just in general. Useless mandate will be ignored for it does not help fortress.

Greetings Comerades! I have a fort planned for the next release and wish to know if anyone has done !!SCIENCE!! on what jail set up results in maximum hammering. Because Communist Fortress needs such things.

So for the war bears. I'm thinking every melee squad's captain will get a war bear. And once a member survives 12 sieges they'll get one too since they'll now be considered non-sus. (Every captain is a non-sus). Should the crossbow teams get war bears too? Just in case the enemy gets close?

Commisar Ivan automatically gets 2 war bears as guards.

If anything the capitalist spies don't seem common enough, even after all the sphere doodah I've done. Alot of them either die off before passing on their secrets, or become necromancers, which defeats the whole purpose of the infiltrating your fort part. You might want to check in legends mode whether there's spies still left alive before embarking.

Unless there's a sizeable shift in interactions (unlikely), it should work alright. It's just raw modding, any changes would be easy to update.

New version is bringing entity-specific pets though, so we should wait for that to use on our bears. Don't want the capitalists sieging us on the backs of glorious soviet bears, do we? No, they will siege us on the backs of decadent capitalist pigs.

Alright. I'll need to remember that.

Yes. We should. :D

Do we know if the new version is going to be changing anything that will prevent the capitalist secret from working. And we should have someone from the state who has a job to keep track of how many communist slogans each dwarf says, to make sure they aren't converting to capitalism. And because this would require a lot of toil and logistics on the side of the glorious state that slogan tallier should just be able to do a shoddy job and label people as suspect if they are in his presence a long time without pledging allegiance to the state. Or something along those lines. The legislation must be ironed out before it is implemented, but as always, it's the ideology that counts the most in the mountain home. And I think you are thinking as Capitalist pigs Sanctume. It's an insult that is used to say that the dreaded capitalists are as greedy and filthy as pigs, blind to the glorious guiding light that is Communism.

I hope not. XD Hmm. So a modded job for a dorf? That would be Commisar Ivan's duty.

@ The pig stuff: I've got no clue what's meant here.

Words are harmless, but ideas are forever (yes they're just for flavour).

Here, download this and try to add the files inside according to the same file structure. Afterwards create a game and check the errorlog to see if there's anything off. If you need any help let me know. :)

It'll be a bit of time before I can check. Figure drawing and shading is a pain in the donkey and so I need to focus on that. Because I need to make two different ones. Bleh.
