I rolled a rich, informed, dying, ex-glitcher. Is that a good thing?

I mean, it's not unambitious, but it's almost good enough.

Otherwise I have a dying, shaky, weak, ex-glitcher. Almost the same character.

I both love and hate Baba is You.

Edit, I can do better: BA IS HA AND LO

Dammit, "Small Pond"! You tricked me again. Why do I always fall for your stupid, obvious (for this game) trap?

How to flush doom monster out of volcano it's hiding in: Nuke it. Literally drop a man-portable nuclear bomb into the volcano and detonate it. Can't hide in a volcano if there's no volcano left!

... might actually be the first part of this monster paradise thing that's a legit gift to read, ha.

Plus, there are literally zero possible negative effects.

So, dark stuff that seems funny to me.

I've got brain stuff from abuse, and don't do well with family. My brother, I assumed/remembered, fared much better. During a family reunion we were both too cowardly (or whatever) to just say no to, I noticed he almost killed a 750 of whiskey in 2 days pretending he wasn't drinking much, to deal with family. So, that on top of beers and whatever. I have a problematic attitude with drinking (not yet an addict, but not healthy in any way) and don't normally appear drunk until I'm either wildly depressed or just about to pass out, and he was better on all of that (especially the crazy; dude is chill) than I have ever been.

So I'm probably better looking and smarter, but way crazier and somehow soberer. Man, I don't know, but he's still good to hang out with. And probably will be in 2 years when we've both quit (guessing).

I looked at the Steam Sale. It turns out Humble has 2 games I'll recommend on sale (just sale, not bundle or monthly).

Satellite Reign is a (optionally co-op) isometric cyberpunk game where death is temporary, and To Be or Not To Be is a humorous choose your own adventure book version of Hamlet. I've also heard good things about Psychonauts, and should get around to playing it one of these years.

I finally got Baba is You on sale, a game I've been salivating over when I first saw it, and now I've got it. It's really fun and is exactly what I wanted. Lots of cute, mindfucky puzzles that test your lateral thinking muscles.

Same here.

If I were running this place all these boomers  who can't sit still because tiny two stroke brains start degrading when they sit still, so they just have to impose their sleeping rythm on other people so they can the virtious in chief who's sawn 3 cubic meters of wood before 10 am... Because you need firewood at the height of summer, ofc. Well if I were running this place these peebs would be disqualied for free days and retirement. Just work yourself to death, and faster please. I swear there is allways at least one who just can't help himself, but if you mow the lawn at 2 pm on a sunday you're worse than Thanos. Get your endorphin fix without heavy machinery you fucking junkies.

Remember when the world in Logan's Run seemed like a bad decision? I am now all in on the idea of exploding everyone on their...let's say 30th? birthday. Before any of you complain, go listen to a boomer and ask yourself if you want to become that.

OK, I think we can both agree that the prissy old lady down the street (and her septuagenarian husband, who just cannot fucking live without his loud assed land yacht, golf-cart, and huge ass lawn tractor on their teeny tiny (but immaculate) blue fescue lawn.

That bitch has nothing better to do than fuss over her property value, even though she is going to DIE before she is going to move, and consequenty calls the city on everyone who's lawn is even a teeny bit outside of ordinance (Fuck I hate that bitch.) and her husband's incessant mowing and other bullshit loud activities outside keep me up when I need to be asleep.

Yeah, Fuck them. :P

It's probably not okay to salt their lawn so that nothing shall grow there again, but it's probably an okay fantasy to have.

Maybe I should try learning an instrument again...

Or get a needy pet. Like a herding dog. It's way easier to give a shit about someone else (especially a pet, because they aren't usually dicks) than yourself, and it's a motivation to get up and do things. Mine has a chair next to my computer chair, so she can let me know when I've been there too long (which is most of the time, if I'm being honest).

Mindfulness is a most important skill to have, particularly when it comes to being aware of your own thoughts, motivations, and changing them.

Unless you've got some sort of trauma thing, like PTSD. Mindfulness is not great when your thoughts, motivations, etc. are mostly terror.

A lot of my countrymen didn't knew the meaning of xenophobia a few years ago. A lot of them know it now. It's sad, this country used to receive virtually anyone with open arms and the saving grace of this place was despite the violence and corruption we never EVER had a sliver of racism or xenophobia. Welp, cet's la vide mon ami.

Racism and xenophobia are tools used by people in power to keep the citizens fighting each other instead of the people in power. The rise in it makes it look like a lot of governments are afraid of their citizens right now.

Got a Sabrent external harddrive. Plugged into my USB 3.0 port, shows up in device manager and the blue light stays on. Inserting a drive immediately makes it disconnect and the light starts to flash. Running Windows 7. Tried moving it between the USB 2.0 and 3.0 with no difference.
Edit: Trying with 3 different HDDs, two of which I know aren't broke.

Is it a powered USB slot? Sometimes things prefer one or the other, for reasons other than needing power or not. I cannot elaborate on these reasons, but I've seen it happen enough that they must exist.

Well, don't press E~

Yep. Just w and d. I finally quit doing that, and started following the game's advice. To turn quickly, hold space and one of the directions. Space is not "turn faster", it's "power slide." In a helicopter. Downtown. Sometime's it's acceptable, but mostly it just rams you into the side of a building, which is bad if you like being alive and not on fire.

I managed to finish that mission, and am spending time running around just earning money by doing side missions (and spending the money to own property, which gains money over time).

I recently picked up Saints Row 3. Early on, there is a helicopter chase mission. D is turn right. E is "jump out of the helicopter in the middle of the mission for no good reason." If you hit E again while you're falling, you fail the mission because you failed the chase. If you do not, you fail because you died. Well, try number 10...

Youtube is recommending me anti-feminist and pro-trump stuff that it basically shouldn't be. I'm a little disturbed, due to the context of how I use the site.

Edit: apparently I'm getting pro-trump mouthbreather-level stuff because I watched a few clips from the show Father Ted, a sitcom about Irish priests. So blow me if I know how Youtube's algorithms work.

Nah, they're giving that to everyone. Google (and other tech companies) are major users of immigrant labor, because they pay for the visas and can cut people off if they speak up about pay or work practices.
