Isn't Israel always the side that breaks the ceasefire agreement? For defense, of course. Like burning crops, and destroying wells.

I really want the sunstone and moonstone for the timebender, because those are 2 unrollable sides, and they're also great effects (one die is always day, the other is night, and I think it can be day and night for a single side). But, getting the sunstone means getting enough damage with the timebender early enough not to get frozen sides (although I guess I could precision tools one of those away).

Just in case someone is wondering, reaching wave 84 in HM chaos realm does not unlock anything new. Also timebender is OP as hell  :D

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Dang, you got a 1/3 chance of dying to the moon witch on every roll?

You know, the most cursed thing I ever learned is that the noodles in instant noodle packets are precooked. This means it's possible to rehydrate them with anything that's a liquid at room temperature, and "cook" them with normal water. Yes, this means you can rehydrate instant noodles with vodka and eat it. For the love of all that is sane in this world, please do not do that, but now you know. You will always know.

Every time I eat instant noods, I'm always reminded of this cursed fact. Why has this fact been living in my head rent-free? It's not outright disturbing or not-sane, but it sure as hell gets a "Please don't bring that up." from my brain every time the fact-recaller recalls it.

First off, RUMen noodles. Rum, not vodka.

This is the most legit WTF I've come back to in a long time, well done.

Also, I'm heating up some ramen in some chicken broth now, because this revelation has uses outside of cursed internet horror.

Yeah, probably a better use for that information.

There's a text uwuifier on GitHub. Not only that, but it's parallelized to all hell, it's vectorized with SSE-whatever, and it's written in Rust. That's all the modern systems programming buzzwords at once! Ultra-fast memory- and thread-safe uwuification, here I come!

Also, this line from the README is just perfect:

Quote
utf-8 is handled elegantly by simply ignoring non-ascii characters in the input

True art. Donald Knuth, when he was writing "The Art of Computer Programming", yeah, this is what he meant by "art". Truly, the highest-effort of high-effort shitposts.

Amazing.

What is the best way of contacting Toady do you think? It seems like this isn't something that should wait.

I think sacrificing a goat is the traditional way.

However, I also come here with a question: Are there any characters you'd like to see as agents? I'm a modder and while I am no good at making the visuals, I enjoy getting cool new game mechanics to work. (Typically, agents have a unique augment = passive perk, or a unique item = active ability)

Someone who is more effective the fewer agents you have. A lot of the gameplay seems based around getting up to the max number of agents as fast as possible (so you can have more actions, and keep more enemies pinned down), so someone who starts great then gets worse the more agents you have would be interesting.

Did the Loot Goblin in the tomb a few more times. No luck, and I didn't see anything in the save that looks like a counter, so it probably isn't number of times captured either. Any other ideas to test? Was it in the infinite mode stage?

It looks like I got it a few days after getting both stones in hard mode, so I was probably in the level that uses them.

Looks like biden is officially pressuring israel to ease down, which is what a president should do. Israel definitely has taken it too far really, and hamas has been set back multiple years so not a threat to israel anymore. Though it still to me is "status quo", iran funds hamas, US funds israel...like a shadow war? I guess could call it? Sounds like a good term to name it to me, but maybe not accurate.

They aren't a threat anymore? One of the major complaints from the people shooting civilians with fighter jets is that Hamas had rocks stockpiled.

We're still funding them, and preventing the UN from stepping in.

I assume this is like pressuring ICE to quit putting kids in cages: saying the right thing publicly, while spending extra money to make sure nothing changes. I assume there will also be more efforts from the US to keep journalists away like there was the concentration camps. We don't need people finding out what we're actually doing.

Has anyone tried Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion?  It's a Zelda clone.

I saw something about it, and then forgot about it before I really looked into it. Any more information?

Is this controversial? The only people I see saying anything else are a niche of "future billionare if I just work hard at McDonalds" Americans, whereas pretty much everyone else thinks the idea of tips as a wage substitute is awful.

I've gotten a lot of people angry by saying rapist, bigots, and genociders are bad. Like you said, mostly Americans, but some otherwise civilized-seeming people as well.

Not paying people for work, because they're doing a "lesser" job? Lots of people here support that.

672
Of course, they could also be just targeting the media buildings because they do not like the bad press.

Generally speaking shooting rockets at journalists gets you more bad press.

In the immediate aftermath sure.

Medium- to long-term there are no more journalists to document it.

Plus, you only shoot the ones who don't support you.

I apologize for not understanding; does your country achieve better interest rates than the EU? Will it receive less than it puts in or something? Are you against higher spending in general or specifically on this as a principle? IIRC Europe faced decisions the last recession and chose austerity, and in addition to the gains made by some political parties I mentioned above which seemed to be worrisome at the time to the Euro public, also took longer to climb out of the recession, though it has been many years and my memory likely deceives me in ways due to that as well as my general ignorances of the details of this proposal and European politics.
As with all things, people are worried that EU money comes with strings attached; for example majority of Italians would go apeshit at the EU if forced to accept austerity measures in exchange for bailout money

As they should. Austerity is always designed to benefit the people in power at the expense of the poor.

Just successfully made changes in Waterfox. Give me a minute, and I'll try the same in Palemoon.

Edit: Success here as well.

Are you making a lot of changes and not using the "change profile" button?

A lot of the issue is, Palestinians have been fighting against genocide and apartheid for 70 years. Few if any Palestinians living today remember any time that Israel wasn't warcriming them. When you're in a fight for survival, a peaceful version of status quo is just you being killed slower, and is unacceptable. They've agreed to peace before, and got nothing out of it. They've also learned that as long as the US and other right-wing regimes are on the UN security council, they will never be able to trust help from the UN. At this point, it would be literal suicide for them to accept they're being offered. Hamas isn't the solution, but neither is allowing Israel to continue killing them off and keeping them as a permanent underclass.

A lot of the issue is the UN Security Council, which is where nations who are more equal than others get to refuse to accept solutions that don't let them profit off the suffering of others. Removing it entirely so the UN is actually able to do what they're supposed to would help.
