"You have been encased in ice."
"You are deceased."

I was just trying to train up my swimming...

Yeah, all the random animal organs and tallow would be a little off-putting.  "Minced cat tallow with finely-minced kea brains." Mmmm...

However, i've always been curious about what the less realistic foods and drinks are like, especially Sun berries and Sunshine.

1. Slice the victim's lower body with a sword or axe to spill their guts.
2. Target the now exposed guts to cut them out entirely.
3. Wait for the victim bleed out.

What's funny is that the message usually says that "The (unfortunate creature) looks sick!"  Yeah, i'd be pretty sick too if someone suddenly surgically removed my intestines with a battle axe.

For bonus points, pick up the severed guts and throw them at the victim.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: What's going on in your fort?
« on: January 27, 2017, 02:29:39 pm »
I recently had necromancer adventurer write a bunch of books with the Secrets of Life and Death, put them in a retired fort, and un-retired the fort.  The idea was to have a fort full of necromancer dwarves.  That part worked out pretty well.  Then, one day, a necrodwarf was interrupted by a buzzard and decided to revive a nearby muskox skeleton to kill it.  That worked out pretty well, too.

But, the dead muskox didn't stop there.  It proceeded to kill a few non-necromancer dwarves in the area, and some unlucky dwarves came to recover the bodies.  They promptly had their faces stomped into the ground by the raging muskox, causing more dwarves to come try to recover their dead bodies.

Way to go, Urist McBuzzardHater.

I set off with my companion, a dwarven drunk, to a shrine where a tundra titan lived.  Turns out said titan was made of steam.  The drunk casually punched the titan in the neck, killing it in a burst of steam before I could even join the fight.
He's gonna have a hell of a story for his buddies back at the drinking mound.

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Re: What Weapon Do You Usually Use?

I normally use my bare hands and disarm my opponents.  Then I beat them to death or throw them around until a vital part splits in gore from the impact.  Otherwise, I prefer swords and axes because they can spill things guts somewhat easily.  I'll also use spears, whips or thrown weapons sometimes.

I once had an artifact simply named "Anus".  I forget what it actually was though.

This is interesting, especially since I've just been lurking until recently.
Also, where would the "cruelest thing you've ever done" incident fall on the timeline?

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Stalking Goblins
« on: June 06, 2016, 10:26:09 pm »
I recently payed a visit to a night creature lair with my jaguar man adventurer ("The Jag").  I managed to slay the brooding horror that lived there with some help from my only companion, a human spearman, but he bled out soon after.  I normally recruit only one companion at a time to keep the bogeymen away, and I was now stranded in the wilderness with the sun about to set.  With little chance of surviving the night I did the only thing I could think to do: I ran to a nearby goblin settlement and recruited the first one I saw just keep the little buggers at bay.

Fast forward a day or two.  I still have the goblin with me and I spot something in the middle of a human hamlet.  I investigate, and am taken out of fast travel with the message "you feel uneasy".  I advance to find a few goblin soldiers.  When they see me, they walk up... and they just sand there.  One even tries to make conversation with me.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

They're not even bothering the local villagers, they're just following me around like we're best buddies.  One demands that I yield, but does nothing when I refuse.  When I try to fast travel it claims that I "don't feel safe enough to travel".  Is this a bug?  Do they think I'm on their side because I have a goblin companion?  I like to imagine them looking at my adventurer with wide eyes but he just sighs and says "Seriously, don't you have some hamlet to go terrorize?".

Then I saved, quit and reloaded and they attacked me like normal. Weirdos.
This is also my first post here, so yeah, hi.
