Masterwork DF / How to add a race to the mod?

Hi um, I was just wondering how I could export a race/civ, tiles and all, into Masterwork. I've got no intention to distribute it or take the credit, its just for my own personal use. That said, if this sort of thing is somehow frowned upon even then, I'll stop looking into it.

whoa we can play as humans now? Neat. How soon can we expect all this stuff ported over to 43.04?

Nope, but the included Fortress Defense version is not the one with the sprites yet. I have not yet updated it.

All of them.

Tilesets = Plants, grasses, inorganics, workshops...
Creature sprites = Creatures.

Tilesets do not affect creatures.

Oh really? Uh, my fortress defense creatures have been letters. Pandashis, Ferric Elves, Badgermen, and other non-vanilla civs don't seem to have sprites as far as I can tell. Am I doing something wrong or is that normal?

Maybe I've misinterpreted this, but apparently Fortress defense has its own graphical sprites now. Are they in Masterwork and if so, which tileset do I need to use to see them?

Do y'all think it would eventually be possible to convert NPCs into halfbreed companions in Adventure mode? It might be a little OP but I think it could be fun. You could convert some people and set up your own lil lair. A... succubase, if you will.

EDIT: I think it would be better to have this in the suggestion thread I guess, sorry.


Yes it's better to let this thread move down.

Also corruption in adv mode will be a thing, along with a corruption rebalance in fort mode.

Oh cool! I'll look forward to doing all sorts of nefarious deeds then.

One last question though. In the menu, does the Titan civ mean what I think it means?

I'm assuming you think it's a race made up entirely of the largest moon of Saturn, so no.    ???

There is a possibility of war, but its rare. Just like vanilla DF and war with elves or humans.

Ah ok, that's what I was hoping to hear. One last question though. In the menu, does the Titan civ mean what I think it means?

Does it essentially make it so there are only four sides in a conflict or is there the possibility of fighting between two slaving nations and stuff?

Just popping in to say that I am hella excited for the eventual 43.03 update. I've been playing the current version for awhile and the idea of all these cool races in addition to being able to build my own stuff sounds awesome.
