You could try replace all of your save file's raws with the original world's clean raws and see if that works?
sadly didnt work

Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that the raws got corrupted somehow.

Yeah it weird, it also never needed to grab a Narwhal because i am landlocked in the middle of the map
I coud generate a new world with the same DF Folder , wonder if i can copy some of its folders over
Overwriting Large Ocean and Lake/ River creatures didnt work

It also looks like its not dying at laoding creatures but while sorting them

Hi there,

I am a beginner player. Each game, after the first wave of migrants stes in, my plump helmet plot starts withering and goes empty after a while  >:(

Does it happen because they eat the shrooms faster then my brewer can extract seeds, because I don't have bags to store the seeds, or else? Is there any possibility to prevent the dwarves from eating the helmets? I know it's possible to forbid them to cook the shrooms, but the problem happens even if I don't even set up a kitchen!

Suggestions appreciated  :)

3 Things come to mind :
1. Do you have enough dwarves doing the "Farmer job"
2. Do you have enough stockpiles and autoharvesting
3. Have you disabled the seeds in the kitchen tab ?

A workaround would be to dig down into the first cavern after that point every underground soil becomes a mushroom bearing soil

Hello everyone,

When i loaded an ongoing Fortress today i got the message : "Missing Creature Definition : NARWHAL," upon loading
The World and the fortress where started with the version 0.47.04 so far i want running into any issues other then the usual crashes back to desktop that comes with every older fortress.

Is there any way i can manually fix it by adding the creature into the the world ?
If not is there any way on retiring the fortress and the world ?
I have a backup save but its 1 year old and i designed a lot of mechanical stuff in the meantime so i really dont want to use it.

hey when will it update to 0.47.01

Presumably still waiting for DFhack to finish it's memory-scan thingy, which in turn gives other mods a chance to update. I don't think we have a set date for this.

This should be highlighted
DF hack is what i am waiting for as well, the LNP pack is just a nice way of having everything essential (DF Hack, Tileset, Dwarf Therpist) together

They die if you make sure they dont receive treatment, infected wounds are stronger then the vamp healing factor

At first i read "barkeeping" and i was really weirded out  :D

I have beekeepers mostly for lore reasons, dwarfs love honey and mead afterall, that said its not the kind of industry that makes sense, although having a beeinfested canyon as your only way into your fort sounds really fun

I didnt had refugees trying to become citicens yet, with other guys it cna take up to 2 years, make sure your citicen limit isnt reached as that can interfere with them trying to get citicenship.
Till that happens refugees will do hauling jobs and pull levers, i use them a lot for this

You are not the only one , there seem to be a lot of raid related bugs going on with the current version. I recommend saving before sending people out, you know when they should come back based on the estimated time of travel, if they dont return load your old save.

I cannot reasign the location where they should go to rescue their mates after selecting one on " the people" screen it jumps to the squad selection, then it centers itself on the fortress.
Is this a known bug ?
( i am aware this thread is a mess, i will edit it later)

I found out that the map is centering on your own fortress after you issued a rescue / retrieve mission instead of the place in which the target is located.
This leads to your squad "leaving" and "arriving" one tick later giving an empty mission report

There are also spies with fake identities now. I keep killing visitors with non matching items , like a bard with a longsword and sure enough when you open their Legends file there is nothing there.
