Is there any way to override or otherwise remove a dwarfs aversion to being in tiles of 7/7 liquids? Or is this hardcoded ??

I've found a odd workaround for water but 7/7 magma is different ball game

Is there a way to make dwarves not scared of magma I've made a fire Immune creature from which I turn a dwarf into , yet the silly dwarf being scared of magma runs away when it comes at him even though he will be perfectly fine if he's inside of the magma

 is there any way to turn that off with mods or it's not possible?

Did he have any... "pets" he was taking revenge for, or was it only the average horrors of war?

ehh dark nah not at all, the creatures are magical in nature and tho very different from dwarfs every thing they do is all quite natural :D the earth mother provides all...... sustanance,power,wealth,........companionship, where one earth mother ends another begins for she is part of the infinite, and without her the chosen earth cannot rise.


@@or was it only the average horrors of war?:well i shouldnt have called it a war it was more of a ethnic cleansing that needed to happen and i know that sounds bad, but in this instance it needed to happen ....

as for the child.......its hard to say....i didnt really start paying attention till the 3rd or 4th cat death he was very upset about a lot of things despite, his list of current thoughts filled with entrys about seeing corpeses and not feeling anything anymore.

You will need to move the body definitions into the caste definitions, and use separate tissue and material names and body detail plans for each. All the parts where it creates or calls on tissue layers, materials, blood, etc. Anything not in a caste definition will be applied creature-wide, as will tags that are creature-level only. each material or tissue template you want to add special properties to you will have to select individually and apply the changes, then select the next one that needs to be changed and so on.

Yup this a pain of a process I got it working for the most part but ran into issues with graphics

the creature is just a dwarf with [feature_beast] on it, with different names, I removed tags from dwarf that I think would maybe conflict with the fb tag

the way the wiki reads is that using feature beast will not produce legends ? or am I mistaken ?


and no its not arena restricted I will see if it is there or not.

Shhh, quiet now....a moment of silence for the fallen. Another great example of the horror of senseless wars, carried out with senseless violence. War never changes, and it seems that its the children that always suffer the most. It's year 103, tenth granite and the war is over, the horde vanquished and all of the corpses were disposed of. Every thing was fine...….., until I noticed what at first I thought was just a one time thing...

 "Urist mcChild has a tantrum" …."Urist mcChild punches stray cat in the head the injured part collapses into a pile of gore"

I thought damn lucky shot kid went psyco and downed a cat...…….6 cats, two war dog, a llama,several bird, later all with heads punched into gore, im starting to think maybe  theres a pattern here, but before I could could even finish that thought ….

Now im thinking Damn !!! things are escalateing now,....now  i have a "Urist mcMichealMyers" freaking going on a serial killing spree !!!


this sicko sent like 5 dwarfs to the hospitle but since hes a child NO capital punishment can be done to this sick freak, hes here mangleing people, and poeple are just stepping around him while hes openly attacking every thing includeing workstations

All attemtps to stop the chaos failed the children slowly and with impunity started to execute the adults one by one every so often .........

NOW im thinking SHIIIT now i have "Urist mcCHILDREN OF THE CORN" ...................they killed a lot of adults before i retired the fort out of frustration......

So i think its clear here fairly sure anyways,......that war,.......any war really,.... but the senceless ones mostly.... can really screw up a younger generation pretty bad, and adults sometimes uh,....i guess theyre just too busy with there lives to notice the world around them any more, they've been desensitized from the rat race called life that were all trapped in.

also ive noticed and im not sure if im imagining it or its happening but I SWEAR sometimes when I expand a stockpile that has rock in it or its a stockpile set to ALL that it occationally sets the damned wheelbarrow to 1 which if your not paying attention can go unnoticed for a long time I might be crazy but I swear it does this sometimes, im on steam v50

cause im constantly finding wheelbarrow set to one and I know im not setting it to that value
Every time you open the custom settings on a stockpile, it resets its barrels/bins/wheelbarrows. It's a bug in the v50.

AHahahhh ok then,...... that is mildly infuriating :D

Thanks for the suggestions, but iam afraid these also wont work. Vermin apearently is something totally different from other creatures.

Guess i have to kearn dfhack then. Lets go

yea it seems that with this game you can do just about anything, except some times it just doesn't happen the way you want it to exactly happen :(
im sure you can achieve the effect you want, it just wont happen in the exact way you want it to happen

dfhack is prolly the best option if your just wanting to play locally, the idea mod wise not very ideal :(

Worse case you could make a (*-sudo vermin-*) from an actual creature and go from there ? Not sure if that would work for your project or not though

I have a small creature that I summon with a reaction it's crazed when it appears and if certain condition are met it performs an interaction that applies syndromes and does other things
I have it setup as a [night_creature_nightmare] so it leaves no corpses when it dies


this is just a copy of a dwarf with some flaver details changed

if you wonder why there's a creature transform in there its to remove all body damage from resurrected dead dwarfs so there not mutilated when they are resurrected

oof had a thought on this although i am not the one to be able to fully implement this idea

with a creature variation change the male dwarfs size so that it is different from the females so that only they can wear the item, im fairly sure you can even creature vary body parts

i know this would be very possable, though i am unsure of how to implement it, creature variations are kinda weird and i havnt played much with them yet

It was mid-autumn the year 102 first sandstone the men rallied outside of the fort they were apprehensive about what was about to happen hundreds and hundreds of creatures lay before them sprawling across the landscape from one corner of the world to the next and there was no stopping them without violence so the men they rallied and they charged at the enemy and of a war of attrition began the battlefield slowly becoming covered in the bodies of the slain... The morale wearing thin the war rages on... The campaign taking longer than expected with very few casualties a cursory check of the stockpiles to see how we were doing supply wise showed there was a large volume of the the organs and meat of the slain enemy yep we're eating the enemy and softly children quietly play make believe amongst the piling corpses
