Bag of Heavy Holding:
You can put anything you want inside and the bag will shrink them to fit, however any items inside will weigh about 50% more than usual.

Found this little guy while walking today.
Spoiler: For size (click to show/hide)

Watched it nibble berries for a little while before moving on. It wasn't in the least bit concerned about my presence, it did however try to hide when someone walked behind me.

They will eventually build freighters even if no civilians live offworld yet. At least mine did, took ages but they did. Once a colony exists though they will quickly ramp up how many ships there are.

Given than the fighters I built previously wouldn't be maintained by planetary facilities (and required a carrier or other hanger facility) I would rather them be over 500t.
Shields and fuel increase the weight by 100t.

I'll see what I can get from a gauss cannon turret. Sure I have meson turrets but they have low ROF for orbital work. Still going to lose some ROF due to railguns firing 4 per 5 and my gauss tech allows for 3 per 5, but a single turret might be more useful even with lower base to hit chance.
Wait... You... You survey in a single fleet!? Why?
I'm in no rush. Well there are two actual survey fleets (one grav one geo). Might be worth building a couple more fleets now though, more things to probe.

Odd that it would only be one over when there were 3 ships surveying, all in one fleet too.

I decided to make a disposable PD battery, really small, can fit in my escort carriers hangers if I need move them (the CVEs are meant for hauling small craft rather than battle but they can still field 10 fighters if needed) so deployment time doesn't really matter.

I'm designing some new lasers, fire controls and search sensors. Probably going to keep the original laser calibre with a newer 12000m/s turret (currently cannot design fire controls with higher tracking). I'm thinking 5 beam controls (4 turrets each) and 6 missile controls (5 launchers each, 2 for anti-FAC 4 for anti ship) with the active sensors upgraded to higher range (but similar res).

This version below isn't final but still closer to the end result:

You basically just described my Vanguard PDC in a nutshell. This is meant as the fleet HQ and at some point the HQ should be elsewhere than earth, this way I can simply refit the Station and move it via tug to wherever the new HQ should be.

I'll go with the smaller one then as maintenance is on. Don't have enough facilities yet but they are being built. Need a bigger shipyard anyway. While a civilian yard I control has 300000 capacity the military ones have no more than 23000.

I know I can build it at Earth without needing a shipyard. Its meant as an orbital command station for the fleet HQ to be based on. Think GDSS Philadelphia from C&C. Do I need to worry about the failure rate if its not going anywhere or should I junk the habitat part and build it in a shipyard instead?
This would be the Smaller version without the habitat part:

Can make further changes as needed. They both have the same missile type and to-hit chances.

They can do that? Its not from mining thats for sure. No external mining yet, even If there are external DSTSs.

No NPR contact. Only xenos site found was a 70%log anomaly in Stevenage which wasn't even known to exist at that point.

Manchester is a wierd system. 2 stars, 2 worlds. 1 Gas giant and 1 Earth-like world.
Manchester A II, Terrestrial world, 0.74x colony cost, 80% nitrogen 20%oxygen (0.26atm) total pressure 1.29 atm, 1.14 gravity, 55.8c surface temp.
The gas giant is about 4x the diameter but 0.97 gravity.
Cannot see any survey locations either, did this system not fully generate?

Also, London show this
System bodies surveyed: 207/206

For now I'm flagging London and Liverpool as suspected dormant nodes (I might actually be the case). It was actually an error loop that seemed to be calling itself ad infinatum. Didn't continue after reload but made ghost system pop up.

Does have a 0.27x cost world IIRC. Only sub 2.0 world I have found barring earth and mars (which was made 0 thanks to terraforming).

I didn't. A survey fleet jumped out of London and into Liverpool, then some error occurred about ship types and fleets being null or something. Next thing I know I am aware of London Liverpool and Manchester. It could be an NPR found something elsewhere and weird shit happened I guess.

Also Cardiff is one massive system. K series star, 11 planets, massive amounts of ore, Planets X and XI are over 10 billion km out from the star and there are 300 asteroids between Planets IX and X. Also one gas giant has 73 million tons of sorium.
Manchester is a binary, G series and M series. Could be a homeworld system?

So, I found this little thing...

Looks like the image may not be very good quality but still I'm sure you guys will see what is odd about it. (Edinburgh is a level 8 nebula)
