DF Gameplay Questions / 38a: Constant Rejections

Hey, has anyone else had seeds that constantly get Rejected once they get to Age of Myth?  Or old seeds from 33g that had no Rejections suddenly hit up into 100+ Rejections?  
I'm not sure if this is a bug or what, but it has me worried.

I used to have that problem, then I got 38c, did you try a fresh install? things in the raws can go screwy sometimes for old versions, 'specially if you over-wrote the init with one from the previous version.

I think that is the main thing everyone is waiting for... though hopefully I'll settle in decently peaceful regions till I learn how to properly train up Armies.

Oh, and militarizing them and putting them on Drudgery duties is a good way to make use of the oafs.  You could start some massive building project that would require all of them to have some form of Masonry, though that reminds me, on one of my fortresses I need to take off some of my dwarfs from it.  Need them to do other shit besides walling and smoothing.

You can store plants in bins?  And I thought that "Reserved Barrel" Option in stockpiles allowed you to set barrels to be used with only Workshops (Such as Stills, though maybe also Process Plant (Barrel))

Usually when a Siege hits, I have enough time to get them to all get inside, then once they're in I seal the exists, and continue business as close to as usual as possible.

Just turn off all your outdoor Dump sites once you get that order up, or don't have a massive need to dump things,otherwise they run out the hatch and come back in... constantly and you can never seal it.

Well, to be fair, I rather keep my peasants happy over my Nobles, (There should be a way to turn it into a free-enterprise system, Nobles can kiss my ass.) But when the rooms overlap doesn't that fall under "Without a proper room lately" under unhappiness?

Along with the economy string in this topic.   I just finished rewalling a portion (Unfortunately I didn't know some things and even my peasants have very good beds)of my fortress for the peasant quarters, they were dug out of a smoothed magnetite(sp?)/Dolomite area (Dolomite being my main stone... mmm lots of flux)  And I was wondering, if I re-floor over the smoothed magnetite floor, will the value of the rooms increase or decrease??  

As much as I hate my Tax collector he's bitching about a "lesser's pretencious sleep arrangement." I have 3x1 rooms that are considered Decent quarters...

Thanks for the info, but that really didn't answer my most pressing question.  
Will he still conduct meetings if I have him set to off duty, or will he be doing the solider thing? So people won't be able to complain, then get unhappy, and then Tantrum (because most of my mayor's tend to stay in office for at least 5 years...).  

So the question is not "Are they good in this position?" it is "Can they do the proper job, like conduct meetings, and listen to people's grievences?"

So, I just got an Elite Wrestler elected to the Mayor's position, but I can't remove him from the Miltary Duties at this point... can he still conduct meetings or am I gonna have to risk the Tantrum downard spiral and kill him off?

I checked the Depot-Access, the Depot has the Blue D's and that is a cut-away from the ground Z-level (Area is 1 z-level down) Also the Wagons are already at my depot in that picture, but they piled up instead of starting to set up.

Currently underway of building ramps that will hopefully let them get without out having to back up.

I think I messed up, this is my second fort, and probably breached the tree quota, but the Elven Diplomat got pissy and ran off, so I seized all the Elf's goods and walled them into my Above ground Depot.

So I made an underground Trade Depot, while the Elves get slaughter by berserker one-humped camels,  for the other caravans, and my first Alternate just arrived (Human and Wagons) And I seem to have a pile up on my hand, I cut away the ceiling in the image to show the basic set up.  

   

So um, what did I do wrong (Among many things I probably did wrong)

I've actually tried using the DC to fix moods, it doesn't do shit, you can set them all the way up to the Highest happiness level, and in a day they're back to Unhappy/Miserable.

Never tried it to calm beserkers, my Mayor was making unreasonable demands and I starved him to death, a new one hasn't been elected and a Berserker Camel took out dwarves, then a guard beat another dwarf to death in front of a party... I sense the doom of my Fortress...

Yeah, the civi has dwarfs in it (Unlike one map where I had a Human Civ, but there were no humans in it.) or at least I thought it did, might have to save-scumm Abandon and go to the Civ to see if any dwarfs are there.
