DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Face Palm moments you had

So I decide to order my dwarves to dig out a room, and at the same time, I increase the size of the damn stone stockpile significantly.
Guess what takes priority?
The fucking hauling.

How I felt about that

Title says it all.

Well, not really actually, nevermind. Title does NOT say it all.

Just make sure they aren't racist or something along the lines of "Urist McAutism". Religious jokes and monty python stuff is fine.

I tend to say things like:

"Sure, keep mandating your Fucking beds you piece of shit, At least you're not mandating something I can't do"

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME? AFRAID OF (Insert something stupid here)? REALLY?"

"NOBODY EXPECTS THE GOBLIN INQUISITION, EXCEPT FOR ME, YOUR GLORIOUS OVERSEER, WHO LAYS DOWN ALL THE CAGE TRAPS!"

"More cage traps! YES!"

"WHY IS HAULING THINGS APPARENTLY AT THE TOP OF YOUR "TO DO" LIST, URIST MC DICKALL?"

"We're fighting
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
with  a possibility of recruiting them in adventure mode. what is this, Urist, McGami Tensei?"
"Oh sure, occupy the _______ With your strange mood. Not like I was going to use it."
"WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ARE YOU DOING?"

It's strange moods, insanity and divine intervention/posession. Things being made in an impossible order isn't possible, because any order is possible with insanity , divine intervention or ghosts!
or time lords, time lords is always a valid explanation for basically anything

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Re: What's going on in your adventure?

long story short, someone other than the original creator updated the old 2011 corrosion mod for the recent dwarf fortress update.
now the infected zombie horde in the mod can now infect folks by biting them which over time turns their victims into the walking dead.
pretty fun if you play it in a don't fight and run playstyle.

Infectious zombies in df. Oh god. Fortress mode must be SUPER Fun now.
the original creator kinda went full on total conversion and made digging kinda impossible so folks have to build on the surface.
the old infection was before syndromes could slap a interaction or transform you so it just made folks really really woozy.

So Key and her party of 4 ran through the city looking for any supplies to snatch. Key didn't suspect to be roaming * to stop her from fast traveling and had to run.
then suddenly Key heard some person a warlord asking the infected lepers for a drink and getting served.
She quickly bolted these expecting survivors or at best free booze to steal, and found Pod a warlord drunk in a chair with a cup in his hands.
(I really should had recruited him but I didn't want to push my luck), Key grab some cups and booze barrels then got out of the rotten metropolis.

so far starting to like this adventurer and have high hope she lives long and probably hit president status.

Just a question, is it possible to recruit a demon? I wouldn't expect it to be, but if it is...

HEE HO MOTHERFUCKERS!

I used to get a lot of worldgen crashes, but I found they stopped completely if I just left the window in focus during worldgen. And can just pause it if I need to do something else for a bit.

Oh. Because I have problems with worldgen going past year 100 and such. I guess his might sole it.

Now, For what Lliluk found about the history of these demons....

Note, this may or may not be true in the storyline. this is what the demons believe in.

In the beginning, There were various gods. These gods were Oppressors, Destroying and creating as they pleased, without a single care for the lives of any intelligent creature. However, there were some gods who realized the implications of what they were doing, and realized how significant these mortals were, being able to create culture, kingdoms, weapons, society, language, and a whole lot of other things without divine help... What could they do if the divine did, in fact, assist them? But the other gods were too busy bringing ruin to them... Thus, for the sake of science, a grand rebellion started.

The leader of this rebellion was alorme smokeconflict, now known as the "God of Chaos", who led a legion of their creations, along with the other rebellious gods, into war. They lost, and were cast into the underworld to keep them in line, and their power was locked behind layers of adamantine, a metal which suppresses the powers of these gods, limiting it to hell. This was done primarily by angels, who are unaffected by it.  Now, the imprisoned gods weren't just going to sit there. They brought upon new races, All sorts of demons... And adventually, the succubi and incubi. year 0, The adamantine layer is breached by dwarves, but the power of this metal blocked off most demons, Save for a few weaker one, and the succubi and incubi. The war against the oppressive deities continues.

Now, You are here, In their second attempt to get a foothold, leading the charge.

Oh, and, we had some  pretty good trades recently, and you have your throne room and stuff.

Guess what I'm getting someone to engrave.
Beds made of brown recluse spiders?

Also, I notice a distinct lack of cotton paper. Demonhood has changed him. :(

We have no time for paper. We must mandate all the beds, and fight living stone!

222
He's the fucking doctor... I guess.

Well, from what you've said, everyone is.

Also: what are the personality traits the game has down for him? What are his likes and dislikes?

His personality traits are generally extreme, but he has some hilarious likes and dislikes

Likes: Pure Cassiterite, Drednought, Purple spinel... And then it goes nuts from there.
Ireci's forgotten beast guts, Beds (I guess thats why he mandated beds like nuts then banned exports on beds.), Nahashes for their lies,Crowded gerels for their crowded character,The words of the sucker of umbras,The sound of the mauve flute and the sight of the fragnant velvet. When possible, he perfers to consume tomatillo wine. He absolutely despises brown recluse spiders.

Guess what I'm getting someone to engrave.

...okay. I wonder what awakened stone is.

By the way, could you paste the in-game description of Quill Lliuk? I'd like to know what he looks like.

Because of how the game handles succubi and demons, and for some apparent reason otherwise, gender changes can happen on transformation (insert joke mocking deviantart here), and due to the female to male ratio of this race being leaned much more towards female, Lliuk is most likely female now. Now...   Nevermind, I rolled a 20, Lliuk is thankfully male.

Now...

Main description
He has the apperance of someone who is 268 years old and is one of the only ones of his kind.

Or in other words, If you translated that over to a human, He'd Likely look like Gandalf or The 11th doctor

Now, onto the specifics.

His hair is clean shaven

He has very high cheekbones.

His lips are somewhat thin

His wings are somewhat narrow

His yellow eyes are slightly wide set

His skin is carmine.

AND HIS NAME IS JOHN CEENA!

But in all seriousness, I could just say hes the "Incubus version of John ceena." But someone would yell at me for being wrong.

Also, as in my non Masterwork file, It's in year 125+

In my masterwork file, its under year 20.

He's the fucking doctor... I guess.

224
"Masterwork"? What's that?

It's a larger collection of mods for dwarf fortress, INCLUDING the ones I was using before. It's a direct upgrade.

You're still in charge, also. Funny enough, all you've been mandating is beds. It's like you know we need beds to construct the transformation thingies. Also, your log will have to wait, as it'll be recounting succubus history in it's fullest, for my storyline at least. And yes, it's a Shin megami tensei inspired "God is Fucking evil" storyline type. I just gotta work on it. And I'll also put it in spoiler.

Oh and, We have all sorts of new monsters, like awakened stone. I've layed out the floors to only have one entrance to the main part, and the main part is guarded with a cage trap and a door. Heh.

Anyways, I can't explain all of masterwork, but it's fucking huge.
