DF Modding / Re: Rick's utilities?
« on: January 14, 2008, 09:19:00 pm »I don't have the access level issue. It could be because I used
TweakUAC to disable the escalation prompts (always allow escalation).
Your reveal.exe does not have to be in the DF folder or the program files folder. The memory.ini should be 582 bytes long.
Also if all you want to do is adjust the starting points, the free version of Artmoney works great.
[EDIT: Artmoney not allmoney]

DF Gameplay Questions / Re: Collect webs task interruption- dwarves stuck in loop
« on: December 27, 2007, 09:01:00 pm »It'd be nice to get those since there are hundreds in the cave but I need a military force sufficient to kill about a dozen troglodytes. Or maybe I can flood their level from the brook...
DF Gameplay Questions / Collect webs task interruption- dwarves stuck in loop
« on: December 27, 2007, 07:00:00 pm »My dwarves started going into a cave as soon as I built a loom. The problem is, there are some troglodytes on a lower level. The dwarves get a little ways into the cave, on the far side of the chasm opening.
As soon as they see the troglodytes their task gets interrupted. The problem is, as they move back towards the central opening they get scared again. My dwarves get stuck in the loop for 5-10 tasks each, and since the original "collect webs" task fails more dwarves inevitably follow them.
Is there any way to gather webs with monsters around? If not should I just forbid the whole cave?
That's the only way I can see to stop it short of destroying my loom. The loom auto generates the task anytime I cancel it. Suspending it doesn't work either.
Thanks for any tips.
