6/8, almost there. We have a solid composition so far; biologist could heal and maybe poison, barbarian for physical damage, paladin for tanking (maybe instead offensive), Earth mage for magical damage (maybe heal), and I could be decent all around, maybe. Some sort of buffing occupation could be good, but Biologist of Philosopher might be able to fill that. Maybe a rogue-ish character, too. But, in the end, the remaining two players can be whatever they want to be.

In all reality, though, could be interesting. I can see him discussing life after death with a skeleton, or the like.

Try to locate the source of the smell. Might be a superior food to the 'mice'(don't want to devolve, which could be the case), or, if I'm unlucky, a predator, trying to lure us in. If there are multiple routes there, take a safer route without taking too much of a detour.

Appear over the horizon on a rolling Grand Piano, playing an anthem of loyalty to prevent the other playersbards from desserting our glorious conquest. If they would be inactive, make them NPCs for the time being. Also, use the anthem to return our glorious GM to us.

+1 for which part? The meta revival, hypnotizing the GM with music, or the fact that a Grand Piano is rolling on its own?

Relish the Hounds: Target as many people as half your spell level rounded down (or 3, if inapplicable). They now find enjoyment in (the presence of) dogs or other canines, to the point of outweighing any reasons not to love them. On a spell failure, cover nearby dogs in a mixture of chopped pickles, vinegar, etc.

I'm going to post this before I forget. It's inspired by TankKit's accident with his recent suggestion game. It may be TOO meta, though.
It's called "Roll to Dodge Being a Suggestion Game". It would start with all players being the same average Joe, and the goal would be to become distinctly separate people. By controlling Joe with a specific personality over several turns, you would pop into existance as a person with that personality. HOWEVER, some new players/some of Joe's players would be assigned to that new person, called Bob. If a player, as one character, acts like another character, they move to that character. Maybe there's some other goal everyone's aiming for, like finding an artifact to permanently cleave Joe's personalities from him, but this is all I have for now. What do you think?

This may sound crazy (I AM currently an escaped lunatic, after all), but maybe you could make this an RTD. Make the scientists have made multiple Sallys (they don't all HAVE to be called Sally), and have one cat per player. It would allow us to see multiple different routes of evolution, instead of sticking to only one in your planned suggestion-game form.

But what do I know?
Edit: Technically, the RTD board is UNDER the Forum Games and Roleplaying board. So you're OK! ;)
Edit2: Too late now. Observe Surroundings, particularly for food and shelter.

Releashes Lunatics: 2d8 leashes pop out of a portal, hook themselves around lunatics' necks (or similar body parts), and pull them back through the portal.

I'll give this a try.
Description: Wearing light robes with a hood, with some dark hair peeking out. Carrying a leatherbound tome of good quality that floats in midair at will, as well as an ever-inked quill to write with.

When (if) I get in, I have two questions. First, how do I make the spell's color red/blue/whatever color it corresponds to (i.e., make sink blue) when the text around it is already colored? Do I have to say /color and reinput the previous text color after ward, or can I just put sink in the middle of the already colored text? (hope I explained it well)
Second, by the twelve hour or whatever thing you mentioned, do you mean that I cannot put an action until 12 hours after you reply to my previous action? Sorry for the trouble, I just joined the forum.

Thread Revival: Takes the remains of a destroyed or otherwise ruined piece of cloth or clothing and returns it to its former state. If the cloth was alive or sentient, it regains those traits. If not, it gains life for d6 minutes. It the cloth was created or modified by a string-, fabric-, or clothing-based spell, you may repeat that spell's effects.

(Remember, only one spell per post)
