So glad people are willing to sell out their country and their future because they want billionaires to keep ripping like bandits and throwing them the scraps.

Well, forgiving student debt is allocating federal money in essence, which technically is a power reserved for Congress. I expect that to be the argument.

You can probably sell a high-pressure gas cylinder, that's pretty valuable. Same with the CRTs.

You can't fight nature, Jack.

Tell that to the antelope whose surface area I have greatly increased with my car.

Meh, Musk's PR has taken a solid nosedive past few months/years, relative to when he was rather new to being talked about online. It remains to be seen how it fares in the future.

I and the Surprise Sourpuss are acquainted. They may be warded away with hanging milk bottles around your house, as a sacrificial souring.

Listen, I know Sauron did that whole corruption murder and conquest thing, but his low tax plan makes him the best candidate for the job!

I thought the US government paid him for the Starlink terminals. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Orthodoxy is a denomination with a large portion of Eastern Europe as adherents. It is not limited to the Moscow patriarchate...

As a denomination I probably like Orthodoxy the most as well. It seems the most morally rational.

An interesting theory that I've heard is that there are people in Russia really antsing for a "return to normal" with an end to the war so they can go back to selling gas over Nordstream and getting rich. And what Putin was intending to do is to remove that as an option entirely, so they would quiet down.

Imagine being the guy who dragged an anchor across something of major geopolitical interest during a time of major geopolitical tensions.

Unfathomably true.

The next poster enjoys pie.

The Russians on this forum eligible for conscription need to leave NOW. European countries are shutting down visas -- which I'm not sure I agree with -- getting asylum will likely be difficult without these visas or being already a fugitive, they're going to make checkpoints to stop people from leaving the country. Thankfully the border is large. I've heard Georgia or Mongolia are possible destinations. If you get conscripted, break something like your ankle. Make it physically impossible for them to send you to fight.

XP is aging into that exact bracket - the people who grew up playing OG Xbox and gaming on XP boxes are hitting the life stage when they have disposable income but nobody but themselves to support.
Crap I forgot all about nostalgia gaming driving the prices of this stuff up, but I wouldn't have thought it would raised the price that much.

You would be shocked to see how bad it can get.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

That's a bit of an outlier, but there's a fair number of SNES games that are in the $400 range now.

I heard the overpricing of old games is another pump-and-dump scheme perpetrated by the same guys who did the antique coins affair a few decades ago.

Here is a video on it.
