About an hour. Practically speaking, one more chance at each task (saving the station and escaping it), though each will be led by a different archaeologist.

602
With the last of the figures cut down, the final battle went quickly enough. Vigil and Ricardo battered it with their weapons, seeming to do little to it but keep it off balance as a hail of fire descended upon it. Sertan took the final shots, knocking free the badly broken helmet, which landed with a burst of inert grey fluid. [HK 51 to martial arts, martial arts team 82. Fireteam 83, HK 32. Sertan won the rolloff.]

Engineering was once again empty of hostiles, albeit there were a few broken parts. Who knows what else might lurk behind the purpose of each.

603
Sertan and his team continued to fire, the immediate threat gone their shots filled the room. Creatures exploded back silently into globules of goo which splattered the far walls. Sertan ordered and directed fire, blasting apart one of the creatures' heads. [Combined fire 74, combined defense 6, Sertan won the rolloff]

Ricardo brought his blade up into the creature's side, but couldn't find a hole in the armor. The two turned slowly, neither gaining purchase to strike the other. The knight's back turned to the rest of the party. [Ricardo 31, HK 7]

604
Vigil clamped the autodoc in place. Stella's suit was sealed, and she felt a pressure and headache fade that she'd somehow not noticed yet. The screen lit up with jagged swashes of acid-melted flesh, including organ damage. It's all he can do to set the system to provide life support and painkillers, though with any luck the device's stores should keep her alive for a day or so. Stella's going to need a replacement organ when she gets back. [61 - success. Stella is stabilized, and while on painkillers rolls a d50 as her main dice.]

605
Cross and Loi move up to either side of the hole, spraying fire towards the armored creature stalking towards their allies in arms. Their shots deflect meaninglessly off of the thickest parts of it's armor as it raises it's sword. [37 - mild failure]

De Castillo fought, swinging his weapon wide, keeping the creatures back and focused on them as the others lined up their shots, firing towards the armored figure. [47 - moderate success. Rushers: 54, success]

Stella's shots rang the creature's armor, turning it's attention towards her as Sertan raised his gun, firing into the weaker armor on the creature's side. Grey melted in towards the deck. [79 - strong success, vs Horror Knight 38 mild failure]

The wounded knight swung his sword furiously, but Ricardo caught it with the edge of a thick combat knife, forcing it into the deck, where it carved a hole into the floor. [Knight/Rushers 30, Martial Arts Defense 68, Ricardo won the roll-off]

606
The creatures rushed left and right, encircling the party as attacks fail to connect. Stella's attacked bounded towards her, and struggling to stay awake she raised her gun, held her breath, and fired, striking it full on in the chest, scattering grey fluid across the room. [Team martial arts 20, Sertan firing 24, Stella 60, Rushers 12]

The team's combined fire and swings are enough to keep the rushers back, circling quickly, looking for openings. The taller armored figure stalks towards them with a black sword slung over his shoulder, preparing to strike. [Rushers 40, Team Commando 86]

607
The creature on Stella ripped and tore, and blood coasted upwards in suspended globules. The suit depressurized and Stella could no longer breathe. It would be minutes before the vacuum killed her. Her eyes went bloodshot and her lungs started to inflame. [Rusher 51, Stella 19]

The others, directed still be the figure behind them, clawed and leaped. Klemmer got his gun up to block it, and he and the creature wrestled for it.

Sertan shot at one that had been about to strike him, catching it in the shoulder. Goo blasted backwards in globules that splashed against the rear walls, but the creature fought on without an arm. [Sertan 56, Rusher 43]

Ricardo and Vigil rushed in, weapons drawn. Neither was prepared for what they would see down here. Ricardo struck out with his guandao, the alien creature easily shifting to avoid the blow. Vigil was luckier, managing to force the rusher back off of Stella with a broad blow that doesn't seem to have done more than knock it aside. It crouched up on the roof, skittering towards a leaping position. [Vigil 34, Rusher 17. Ricardo 19, Rusher 63]

608
It's hard to say if it even has organs. You just saw the thing congeal from some kind of dark grey fluid. It doesn't have a mouth, but it does have eyes.

609
Another one of the rushers ran at Boiy, forcing him to sweep his gun around and drive it back with suppressing fire, leaving the one on Stella to tear into her. [Boiy 41, Rusher 58]

610
The rest of the team's helmets lit up with status alerts showing heavy damage to Stella's suit and destabilization of her vitals.

611
Stella struggled for her gun, but the rusher kicked it away. Air rushed up past it through holes in Stella's suit. [Stella 38, rusher 83]

612
Sertan opened fire, but the creatures rushed forward as the form behind them and coalesces into a man in black plate armor, with a giant.. sword?

The creatures leaped and dodged the shots, one running and bounding to draw fire as the others advanced. [Sertan 50, Rushers 79]

The team laid down suppressing fire, but it didn't stop the creatures. One of them leaped and knocked Stella off her feet, tearing at her armor with it's claws. [Rushers 79, Repair Team 17, Stella lost the roll off]

613
The sphere shot out pseudopods, which quickly slimmed into the forms of small, clawed creatures. They rushed towards the team, ready to strike, as a larger, armored figure coalesced from the fluid behind them, arm outstretched in command.

614
A viscous black fluid poured from the broken orb, flowing unnaturally into a single sphere.

615
The room was clear anyway, and the engineering team got to work.

Meter-wide orbs and crystal pillars made difficult work. Klemmer examined it all carefully, before deciding that placing an orb onto one of the pedestals might reconnect power.

The lifting was heavy, and the team shoved the orb and broke something. There was a loud shattering sound (heard by those touching the orb), followed by an explosion. [3. Botch. ]

The team rolled and caught themselves, standing on the walls. There were few injuries, but engineering was in pieces. Well, this section at least. [Commando 84 - strong success.]
