Chrome masterrace

I cancel my dibs, not gonna be able to get it done today.

48
What I do to copy images is I right click on them and press copy so I get the exact image.
I'm not sure if windows snipping tool gets the exact image without corrupting it.

I don't use windows snipping tool to get the image for actual turn making. And no, it doesn't corrupt images. It grabs the exact colours on the screen as long as you save it as png.

49
I use Google Chrome and i didn't open the images in an editing program. I used the windows snipping tool and saved them as pngs. (for the examples i gave in my previous post)

The thing is both of those images;

are off-colour compared to what i see on Snow Dwarf's turn.

First image is from:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Second image from:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The second image's colors are clearly different. Some more drastically than others, but still different. Darker, generally.

As you can see, I did not cause the image problems. In fact, the entire map got lighter after snow dwarf's turn.
And if you don't believe me, check it yourself.

I did check. Multiple times. The map most certainly seems to get darker/more saturated on your turn. You must've made a mistake when grabbing that comparison.

The same happens almost every time you make an edit. It subtle, but it does happen. Compare your latest move to the move before it.

Color problems are caused by different browsers, not people changing the colors.
Every picture wars match with 3+ players has this issue at some point.

Not quite sure how that works. Are you sure you didn't mess up with the pallet at some point? Not all colour problems can be grouped into browsers.

I actually notice colour problems with one of your turns on the other PW match too. I'd really suggest looking into that.

53
ALRIGHT yeah, somebody has DEFINITELY been changing the colors of the image, because I'm going back to add onto my blob, and the default color I have set for the blob(also known as the one I used on my first turn when I introduced the blob) is completely different then the one of the pre-existing blob.

This was on Puppyguard's last turn. I believe colour problems are due to uploading? Either way, they should re-upload the image.

(Also Dibs once the colour problems are fixed)

I would like to point out to Coolrune206 that you don't need to show the entire battlefield 3 times if there's movement. It's usually a better idea to crop the image to show the area(s) that are getting activity, then show the entire field after. Like what i did with my 'meteor' or what Failbird did with their tree-goop.

Just saying because it'll save some space, and it also saves time for the people trying to find your units on the map everytime they move a hand.

55
I really like how a point for two of these armies being here is my 'meteor'.

Does Sandbox mean no forced post-order, and thus less pressure for players?

Anyone can join and place a 'declare' whenever they want. (as long as someone else has not already declared before them and they aren't doing rapid-fire declares.)

Those are the general rules of sandbox, but it's up to Snow Dwarf for the match-specific rules.

Declare!

After confirming an empty room, the Aerial drone ascends into the sky and begins boosting around, invisibly scanning the ground below it.

Overdetailed in the extreme, but I really enjoy making detailed sprites.

I think that as long as the majority of the details are still somewhat visible or at least help define the shape, they're ok.

I will say that, for more matte surfaces (cloth, etc.) try only two colours, a lighter and a darker. Since clothing doesn't often highlight that much, and less colours will help remove clutter.

Why about the legs? Serious question! Does it look like he's running? He's supposed to be just standing there. Though now that I look at it, it kind of looks like he's walking towards the viewer.

He looks off-balance. If you were going for an intricate mid-motion pose that's ok, but since (i assume) he's just supposed to be standing, it looks a little odd and un-relaxed. Try moving the left foot back, to better spread his mass semi-evenly on each foot, like someone would IRL.

Or, it might work if you just define the foot better. The back leg looks a lot thinner since you have his foot facing the viewer and thus essentially hidden from view. (which doesn't make much sense but don't think about it too much)

Not sure if i should join this one, since i only have two armies, and one of them is being used in another match and the other isn't even half-finished.

I guess it doesn't really matter if one is in two places at once, since it's a big mega corporation?
