maybe new Kobold civilizations could crop up on their own.  any time a human civilization has access to dogs and domesticated animals, there is a chance that they could crossbreed and the offspring could be deposited into nearby caves.

the kobold civ would expand from these caves and eventually become a minor threat on its own.

maybe im closed minded, but im probably not alone in my blinded little view.  if you like, you can assume this is no ones opinion but mine, and thus safely disregarded.  i dont want to start a stink:

I'm very comfortable with racial tensions between actualy different species (dwarfs, elves, ratmen, whatever) as they can be viewed as alegorical and satyrical and generally critical of the darker parts of the human condition in a lighthearted tongue in cheek sort of way.

I'm less comfortable simulating racial tensions between different ethnic groups within a single species (pink dwarfs, tan dwarfs, brown dwarfs, whatever) as it hits a bit closer to home.  sure, its fundamentally the same allegory / parody, but its a bit more pointed.  also, while rational people might take grim humor from exploring a cold simulation of human folly, less healthy people might take a more perverse please from the idea of packing all the dwarfs of a certain color or religion into a furnace.  attacting that sort of people to the fan-base might not be the best plan.

But in the end, these are the same guys that brought us Stumpy Wumples.  Theyre not afraid to tell it like it is.  Theyve got more balls than me, and theyre not ashamed to let them hang out.

or a great worm that leaves tunnels through the earth.

no its not.  i think that aestethic has a lot against it, so i think hes being very humble.

i like dwarfs.  im not nearly as stout, but they allways seemed to be a "no nonsense" kind of type to me.

but this is bullshit.  look at every other name in this thread.  look at every name you have seen in the game.  NONE of them modify the final noun.  they are all "...of [something]".  NONE of them are "...of <twiddley> [something]" where <twiddley> is an adjective.  none of them.

also, Forgotten / Forgetting / Forget isnt a word in dwarf.  in fact, the only "forg" word in the ENTIRE RAWS is "toy mini forge".  thus, i call bullshit on your artifact adamantine longsword, and anything else in this fictitious inflate -3 world that you never had.

also also, were ascii-game-playing internet geeks.  theres no reason to lie to impress us.  its not going to get you laid.

i think i once had a countess with four or five kids.  it was pretty crazy.
