I got a new version adv-bodyswap working. But whenever I fast travel I bodyswap into random monsters. The person im bodyswapping into is a historical figure. I knew that was an issue last time. Mode set doesn't work either. Any tips to stop the body-swapping?

Has anyone had a problem with fort mode citizens melting randomly? Or citizens just catching on fire randomly. How do I turn of the temprature?

SO I know from a previous version of dwarf fortress that adventurers who retire at a player fort have to wait a few years for long-term residence. Is their any way to speed up this process?

Does anyone have the script for adv-bodyswap? Or a replacement? I need it due to Mode Set causing bugs in my game.


EDIT I got an assume control script from an older version working on 44.09. But I can't retire. I'm trying to have a historical figure migrat over to my fort.

I have a historical figure from my previous fort that I wan't to migrate to my new fort but shes stuck at my previous one. And looking at her in adventure mode it says shes on an important mission. I have one save whee I used dfhack but she cant to anything in my fort. Any tips?

Well of the two vaults one is a blind demon that died a couple hundred years ago and the other is my Tortoise Demon girlfriend. So already done that.

So I'm not really not sure what I can do in my adventure. I have killed every single megabeast on the planet. And I have a demon tortoise girlfriend. Is there anymore bridges I can burn? I just want to kill a few ingame months so that I can see the change in ages. What can i do now? any more bridges I can burn or murder?

Ok Adventure mode issue. I managed to get mode set working. But despite my adventurers historical figure status it still bodyswaps to random animals. I figured out a solution.

Change to arena mode
Get out of the animal
Change into the adventurer continue as normal.

But I'm at a different site and now I can't retire. Whats the issue now?

So When I use mode set and kill a historical figure and fast travel in adventure mode I switch into a random animal despite me killing a historical figure. Why is this happening? This is the first time I could get mode set to work properly.

So I'm playing adventure mode again and I want to body swap into one of my dudes in my fortress after everybody died and only a few are left. I can't really get Mode Set to work so is there anything else I can try?
