Fair enough.

Any way the Emprahsque could help us out while still doing what he's currently doing? Shutting down all of Chaos's portals, everywhere, maybe?
You ARE technically a psychic overmind, why not ask him personally?

Orks are entertaining and probably easily bribale. Plus they're latent psychics; if we can convince them that something should work, it will.

But fine, no orks, less dakka.

EDIT: any way to get us an Emprahsqueu? (I probably botched that spelling)

" This is due in part to how Imperial scholars now believe that they reproduce: Orks release fungal spores, which grow into a plant-like womb underground that nourishes the bodies of the various Orkoid species. This is the entire basis of the Orkoid ecosystem, producing first Squigs, then Snotlings who cultivate the Squigs and the fungus they feed on, then Gretchin to build the Greenskin settlements, and finally the Orks themselves. This means the Orks, wherever they go, will have an abundance of food, slaves and other resources, a moving Orkoid ecosystem that supports them as they unleash their WAAAGH!s

This also makes it extremely difficult to rid a planet of Orks, even if the initial invasion is defeated. Orks release spores throughout their lives, but release them massively at the moment of death. Without a nearby population of Orks, the alien fungus will eventually start the Orkoid life cycle anew. Decades after weathering an Ork WAAAGH!, settlements on a planet can find themselves faced with an unexpected attack from Feral Ork tribes coming out of the wilderness. The only way to effectively remove all of the Orks once they are on a planet is through a planetary Exterminatus action."
Gotten from the wiki. Orks are bad. Do not let them land.

Also, as far as the Emprahsque getting personally involved, probably not. He's busy finding Jaghatai Khan and the other Primarchs, messing with chaos, and some other things for the next few weeks.

Shut down the portal, shut down the forcefield, sent an evacuation notice to everyone is Genericville, bomb it or send War and his dudes in depending on whether or not the forcefield is down.

Send out signals in an attempt to contact people (NOT the Dark Eldar) who will help us get rid of Chaos. Hell, even the Orks would work, I guess.

EDIT: I forgot about the Chupacabra king.
Time for psychic overmind time! Our army has not fallen, only retreated. Now tell us what you want.
DO NOT Accept help from the Orks. That would only make it much, much, worse later.

Anyways:
Order the Astropath to update me as soon as she figures it out.
Have the TechPriests examine the device, BUT DO NOT PRESS THE BUTTON, EVEN IF YOU THINK ITS OFF. (I don't want Guilliman dying from a critical fail.)
Order the last chancers back into space, and Exterminatus this twisted future of Earth 2.

Any free space left for me?
Just got back and am going to sleep, but feel free to make a character and you will be waitlisted.

Speaking of that, I need to update the waitlist...

Technically Satan and lucifer are the same person, at least biblically. Anyways, I will not be able to update until Monday because I will be gone.

Glass/Jack: (1 on map)
Location: Men'Sann Fief jail
Health: 7/7
Possession:
5/100 Winter
7/100 Summer

You stand there, waiting patiently. You hear shouting, some cursing, and a man whom you do not know runs down the stairs and takes the keys from the jailer, unlocking your door while you greet him pleasantly. As soon as the door is unlocked, five demon hunters run down the stairs and shout, "Hey, you! Stop!"
The man who unlocked your door responds with some very choice words. Oh, this one will be fun. He has the look of power about him.

((As both Summer and Winter are extremely powerful entities, failure entails a double possession increase)
(6 vs 3)
Summer uses you as a focus for his power, and a warm radiance fills the cramped corridor. The Demon Hunters stop running and look at each other, confused. One of them says, "Uh, sorry to bother you. Let us escort you out." A pathetic move, really. Come on Jack, you should know better than to listen to HIM. Embrace me, and I will grant you unlimited power! In fact, there is an item I would like you to retrieve. If you do so, this item will grant you immortality! ((Quest location marked by blue circle))
Or, alternatively, you could retrieve an item for me, and I will make you a king of this world! ((Quest location marked by a white circle))

You feel Summer's pull increase.

Smoke Mirrors/Raven: (2 on map)
Location: Above Menn'Sann Fief jail
Health: 6/6
Possession:
10/100 Lucifer, Knowledge and Thought

This is what you have studied for so long. You know, intuitively, how to channel this demon's powers. You concentrate Lucifer's powers, using your mind as a gateway and a structure for it. People assume you are one of importance, and will not stop you. You tell Lucifer, "I'm going to need some help to reach The Cave, find me a powerful possessed (Glass) and then we can get going" Oh, is that all you need?
That's simple enough. The man in the jail cell downstairs, named Jack, happens to be possessed by a friend of mine and his *ugh* sunshiny sibling.

You walk back downstairs. The confused and stunned Demon Hunters don't react to you walking by. (13+1=14 vs 15) They do, however, seem to realize you are not supposed to be unlocking a possessed prisoner. You see a wave of power leave Jack, which then causes the poor confused guards to become even more confused, and they offer to escort the two of you out. Yes, he will be quite useful...
What? Did I say something? I didn't say anything.

crazyabe/Jacque: (3 on map)
Location: Ancient Outlands Castle ruins
Health: 6/6
Possession:
10/100 Montherus, Forbidden Knowledge

You decide you should head NorthEast, walking straight for the first time that you can remember. The book is still in your hands, but now functions like a normal book. You can see symbols, but they swim frustratingly in and out of your view. like i said, only i can read it. you must gain favor with me before i will allow you to SEE.
You got tied up in trying to decode the book, that you forgot to go farther than a hundred yards from the castle.

OceanSoul/Jay: (4 on map)
Location: Just outside a Garrowsson territory farm
Health: 7/7
Possession:
10/100 Velur@s, Ferality ((Adds 1 health per 10 points of possession as well as +1 to unarmed attacks in combat or other suitably violent moves))

(1)
You decide that you should head deeper into the Sanni territories. After all, right now you aren't even really in Sanni land proper.
Belle squeaks from on top of your head and you take her down to pet her. You become so distracted with petting, that you forget to go anywhere from your hiding place in the bushes not far from your house.

593
This looks intresting can I join?
-snip-
You can definitely join but for now you will be waitlisted as I and the other players are probably still getting used to how this works.
Your possession with function slightly differently, as he is technically in the knife. This is good and bad. You will have a powerful artifact weapon that holds a large portion of Wrath's essence. Possession will increase at half speed, and the bonuses you get will be smaller, but the chance of losing your head or having moves altered is also substantially less.

594
If no one else is lined up, I could take the save for a bit, maybe do a hammerdwarf adventurer.

595
Yeah, the map works fine.

Patiently wait for these guys to come. Greet them as I usually do when they pass by my cell. Jack is exceedingly oblivious to many, many things.
....
Wow.
You probably won't last long. Especially if Raven doesn't decide to help you out.

596
Do you guys want to start together, near, or does it not really matter?

I vote together.
I put you and Glass together because that is just how it worked out. OceanSoul is quite near, as well, perhaps half a day of travel.

Glass/Jack: (1 on map)
Location: Men'Sann Fief jail
Health: 7/7
Possession:
5/100 Winter
5/100 Summer

You were in your jail cell, just waiting until your time was up. However, one morning, you heard a scream of agony and a bright flash of light that shone through the stone beneath your feet. When the light cleared, you opened your eyes again. But something was... different. Other than Jack Clubs, Jack Hearts, and Jack Diamonds, there were two new voices in your head. But not just any old voice, are we? Shut up, Winter. I can help you freeze and then shatter the bars. Pah, that's nothing. I can calm those heading towards us and influence them to protect us. ((There are other abilities that they will provide bonuses when you use as an action. The ones you picked aren't really as set in stone as some of the others will be.))
A dull headache begins throbbing behind your eyes as your feel these two new consciousnesses fighting for control of your head.
You can also hear an angry jailer thumping down the stairs, along with the clanking of men in armor.

The jail cell has a nice metal window that you might be able to crawl through. The door or the front wall might offer an escape as well.

Smoke Mirrors/Raven: (2 on map)
Location: Above Menn'Sann Fief jail
Health: 6/6
Possession:
10/100 Lucifer, Knowledge and Thought

You were heading down the stairs of a jail in the Menn'Sann Fief to investigate reports of someone attempting to summon demons. The fat jailer swayed down the steps in front of you, and behind you were the five Demon Hunters you would be leading. However, before you could even enter the jail proper, there was an anguished scream and a flash of light flew through you from the stones below. And with it, a voice, whispering in your head. Hello there, Raven.
The Demon Hunters frown at you suspiciously. Before any of them can react, you disable them with a series of blows to soft parts and run upstairs, coming to a halt in the courtyard. I can help you gain more knowledge. Come to the Cave. ((Your quest is marked on the map as a red circle))
You'd heard of the Cave, of course, but you had always assumed it was a myth and right now you were busy figuring out how to escape the Demon Hunters below without also getting the guards in on it.

crazyabe/Jacque: (3 on map)

Health: 6/6

You had found it. At last, the greatest book of all time! You had its location. Soon, you would have its secrets.
You scrabbled forwards, stooped over, all the while muttering to yourself. The ruins of an ancient castle stretched out before you, ancient, ruined turrets and rotted out doors.
The only door still intact was the main door, forged with iron, wood, and blood. It glistened red and appeared as new as the day it was first forged. But it was no match for your books.
You whipped out one of your books and flipped to a certain page, this one describing a profane ritual guaranteed to unlock any door. Your performed it and stepped inside the main gate. Not long now.
Evading a series of traps and other obstacles, you managed to get into the castle keep itself, and into the throne room. Where a throne used to sit was a book on a pedestal. Crimson light shone on its cover through some hidden window above. You stepped forwards, and picked up the book, opening it.
A guttural scream tore from your throat as you dropped the book on the floor. Well, tried to. It had glued itself to your hands and now you could feel it seeping inside you. A crimson light left the open pages and seeped up your arms, crawling into your skull through your eye sockets. You felt better than you had in ages, old aches and pains fading away. You stood up straighter than you had in the last twenty years. hello, jacque, they did not lie. this book, part of who i am, can lead you to the ultimate forbidden knowledge. all you must do, is give yourself fully to me. ((Quest marked on map as a maroon circle))

You had been in your stable, about to go to sleep for the night, when you heard a grunt and a muffled curse, as well as the squeal of a pig dying. Your dog burst into action, barking and growling, and launched itself at the thief you could not see. Your grabbed a mucking fork off the wall and moved across the stable to where your dog was mauling a man, biting him, tearing at him. It was terrible, blood everywhere, the man's screams, before he finally succumbed to blood loss and died. You stood there, and something niggled at the back of your mind. The urge to tear, bite, the urge to eat raw meat.
You knew immediately you had been possessed by something and, without losing any time, gathered some of the things you would need while on the run. Extra clothes, your rabbit (Belle), and some food. You ran out without delay, chaining your dog to the house. With one last regretful look back, you left the world you had known since forever behind.
Where could you run? You were on the border between the Sanni Territories and the Chana Fiefs. The Sanni territories were mountainous and dangerous, largely inhabited by trappers, hunters, and miners, easy to lose yourself in, but the Chana Fiefs offered the ability to blend in with crowds, travel quickly on flat terrain, or forage for food from the numerous farms that grew exotic foods that made the Chanaians so rich.

Feedback? Questions? Comments? Also, can you guys view the map ok?

This is NOT how I left it. I believe we may have been transported into the future.
Consult the Astropath on if the above is true.
Send the Last Chancers in to retrieve the superweapon. If and only if they do badly, send assistance.

600
And yourself. Lucifer

Is it wrong that I wanted to play with my character possessed by Lucifer and just wasn't going to ask because I thought you would say no?
Lucifer is just the name humanity gave to a certain demon representing a certain thing. What you did was perfectly fine. Honestly I was surprised no one was possessed by something so obscure as sonder or zenosyne. (Apparently real things.)
