Yeah, alright, Thank you very much for the help.

1892
Two sets of Handrwraos did very little, and even in default survivor gear my legs got really cold.

1893
The problem is, I never had a problem with freezing to death before. Before I came back into Cataclysm DDA I made my own loot truck with all the requirements to become a mobile base, Make my own mutagen and then even discovered the spoilers involving the fungus.

It's mainly just my hands being far too cold and wrecking my speed.

If I didn't have the problem of becoming too cold to fight the zombies then It would be just like standard procedure for me to take down anything that is reasonable.

One thing about zombies that are new is the fact that they /claw/ you now, doing a bit of damage and a large amount of pain, I thought that was brutal.

Oh wow.

BCG
Flying!!, Strength, and just general health. All good picks.

ABGG
Let's make ourselves better at combat in general, then we pick Presence twice. Why bother with construction or any of that stuff when we can convince mortals to do it for us?
+1

Although, some things we have to do ourselves.
I would prefer if we became some sort of Dragon that held a cute little library. a Dragon of knowledge if you will, but being a murder dragons is fine.

Playing the rebalance mod has gotten me beat up way too many times to count. I'm actually freezing to death now, andd dying to Regular zombies. My usual tactic of beating them up with a cudgel doesn't really work anymore. Any tips for starting the game out on rebalance? I haven't really played with other tactics, but the sum of my deaths are

Freezing to death.
Savaged by zombies to death.
Savaged by zombies which result in freezing to death.
Demons camping outside of the shelter.

@Slick((They haven't fired yet because the battle was too fast for them, they have taken aim and cover though.))
((Yes, you used one of your rifle chambers.))

@Coolrune206 You are danger close to the enemy, using the Plasmatic Thrower is not advised unless casualties to fellow allies are acceptable.

@Crazyabe
What else are you gonna do besides walk over to the armory?

I will be acting in place of Crazyabe since he did not actually post in the channel. Slick, Beirus, post your character sheets for next turn.

[1][5+3][3+3][6+3]

v

[3-1]

With Guwat, Vision 1, Thunderbolt, Ognip'Pish and  Frunk pointing a firearm at the maintenance group, they seemed almost cowed at the sight of that many high-grade weapons, and a light groan (read: roar) by the Brug resulted in Frunk taking the first burst, most of it hitting the ceiling.

The crowd fails to hold their comprehension and all those who actually have weapons pull them out. The Brug charges forward towards Thunderbolt.

[3+3][5+3] v [6]
Two simultaneous headshots with a snub-nosed phazon rifle and a Linear weapon by the two Battle Frames instantly knock the Brug down, but it gets back up, despite what appears to be the small pitter patter of brain matter coming out of its skull.

Thunderbolt's weapon runs out of ammunition and needs to be reloaded, which the machine promptly [2+3] loads with professional precision, but nearly fumbles and nearly drops the damn thing.

[6] v [5]

Ognip'pish lets out a second spray of fire, but catches a gyrojet to the shoulder, and is knocked to the floor.
[Update Character sheet -- Suit Breach.]

[6+3]v[1+2]

With a wet thud, a large "plate" of dark matter phases through the top of the elevator and meat chunking the vast majority of the hostiles. The Brug escaped this relatively unharmed and is currently charging forward with a large metal tool.
[6-2+2] Guwat bites back a choking gasp as his overextended power base exhaust him to his core. His nose develops a nose bleed while he develops a Migraine at the same time.
[add Psionic Exaustion to conditions]

Vision one, even in its overclocked state, does not have enough processing power to commit to every action it could have, and the linear rifle takes a massive amount of processing power to even aim and fire, much less run the autoloaders and its other support components.
[Change character sheet, light overheating to mainplatform]
[2+1-1]

The Raptor Drone moves forward, and fires off a burst at the unknown Armory personnel, and misses.

[1] Said person leaped from fright, and barely manages to get into cover, slamming his head into a countertop.

[3-1]

A single eye drone initiates the deployment procedure but is unable to fully finish. before the "turn" is up.

All in all, only two engineering personnel in the elevator are conscious, and one is slamming on the elevator close door to no avail while the other is in a cover position. Arms on its head, flat on the ground.

A Brug is charging towards the squad of Thunderbolt,  Vision 1, Frunk and Guwat.

There is an armory personnel, either unconscious or regretting its life hiding under the countertop in the Armory.

Wow. Wow wow WOW!

I've been looking for a Dungeons and Dragons game to play for some time!

My time zone is GMT -5 and I can spend as long as I need too on both weekdays and weekends to play the game out, however, I prefer to be asleep by 12 AM.
In probably 2-5 weeks I will have more of a sporadic schedule due to some a vacation period.
I am prone to having 3-20 minute bouts of madness where I am either forced to comply with the urges of the urinary/bowel system or perhaps even a strong attraction to the delicacies of blood/ honest ordinary foodstuff.

As for experience and what systems I've played, eh...
I've played a single M&M game for about 2 sessions before the GM backed out and hosted a 5e game of DND modified to be a bit light and fast with the rules.  Since it was an anyone could join the game, it was in a constant flux of people, at minimum four others and at most nine. It was a blast, but I couldn't really call it DnD as it should've been. ((and it was a mess to DM.))

As for characters, I only have seen pre-gens and ridiculous home-brews, so I think I'm gonna go for some sort of Elf Wizard/Sorcerer, or maybe even a blade singer, I remember that being a thing in 3.5.

1899
blankly staring at the computer and what had just happened, and promptly decides to move the cargo bay, looking for the missing goods.

1900
Look around, find any damage from either laser based weapons, missile craters or some type of internal sabotage.

1901
Look towards the ship, see if the engineering section became faulted.

"It is always engineering sections that fail."

B

Dig around hte roots of a near by mangrove tree, essentially making a large room for the fact that it would be supported by the mangroves roots.

[2] Holstering his plasmatic thrower into a scabbard on his back and replacing it with a pistol,  Frunk guides the Marines like sheep towards the elevator, some of them grumble at this, but for the most part they act like a squad of marines, but they loose slight amounts of composure when they get to the point where they are peaking into the Unitarian Armory.

[5] ([5][2])
Eye one and a recently ejected eye two are sent to scout out the side paths in the hall. for three of them, they were little more than maintenance rooms to support the hangar bays shuttle craft. A few choice pieces of equipment have been signaled by salvage men, however.

The Armory that the Brug Engineer came out was a different story.

It appears this was both the emergency and long-term storage armory of the "sector" of the ship. one hundred and seventeen Gyroget guns, six large hammer-like weapons of unknown use,  explosive canisters, ballistic plates. Everything needed for a platoon of men to push off a boarding team, and there is one Guardian banging on a plexiglass window to access some sort of strange Boltgun.

The amount of salvage labeled critical here is simply astounding, and some pieces might be too good not to just leave here.
((Next turn you will be right up against the elevator if you so choose.)

Ognip'Pish barely notes the armory that was opened up by the dead Brug, and walks to the elevator, to the few waiting at the door.

[4]Thunderbolt pulls out an emergency locker from the side and slams it down, making some impromptu cover, while pointing his gun at the door.

[5+1] Guwat has none of that small time stuff, and taps into an electronic piece on the wall a couple times, before what appears to be a server bank extends out of the wall, neatly making a head-high barrier for cover.

The screen interface near the elevator beeps, as the door opens to reveal a squadron of eleven Unitarian personnel, most unarmed, but there is one Brug among them.
[1]
They stare seemingly slack-jawed for a second at the squad.

Orders were to kill or detain any hostile personnel, but it said nothing about engineering or misc. personnel aboard this ship.

Mission 001: Pandoras Box
Post 05: The First Strike

[5-1+3]The Brug is far, very far, around thirty meters. too risky to fire the plasmatic thrower without hitting allies, So Frunk moves forward, almost but not quite sprinting and waits for the Brug to get bucked off by Ognip-Pish, and promptly sends a burst of superheated plasma into the creature. it makes a noise similar to a cat that had been struck with a pipe as it attempted to retreat, and fails.

Your tank read out reports 73% fuel capacity on its current tank.

[2+1 v 5+1] Although Ognip'Pish intended to toss a grenade at the super muscled thing, it closed the distance far too fast for it to be safe, and tried to tackle you down. What happened next was the sort of melee combat you'd expect in movies. A short but violent burst of fast movement which resulted in the Brug losing one of its eyes and pushed back just enough to get perforates on both of its flanks and lit on fire.

[5+3] Thunderbolt takes aim...
[5+2]Just as Guwat lets loose a maelstrom of Phazon bolts.

Narrowly dodging some friendly fire, Thunderbolt stops firing. the Brug has been rendered to nothing more than a charred wreck of burnt meat and unidentifiable metal scraps heaped against the wall.

The room he exited is still open and from the few who can look into the room, they can see weapon racks and display cases, The cargo elevator entrance is still at the end of the hallway, the door closed.

[3+3] [3+1] Just as a Starknight rushed passed you, Vision I for some reason, the Raptor managed to fire a bolt at the roof top Guardian. It narrowly misses but the data it gives from its vantage point lets you take the shot.
a spray of purple mist sprays the wall behind the Unitarian as it slumps over.

You begin wheeling your way over to the Cargo Elevator and end up about half way there, approximately right around where the pile of charred biological material sits. You note the presence of your fellow squadmates, they look funny.

You sure can @Ensorceler.
