The Necropolis, A city without peer in this world.
Its outer walls are as man-made mountains, build from enchanted stone, and the power of the dead working non-stop for a period of time that can be measure in centuries.
In all the time since its completion, the walls have stood unbreached and the armies of light repelled time and time again.

The city is so large that one may travel within its districts, one to the next, be travelling to the other end of the city in a few months time. Every ward of the city is created in a parody of nature, in which the peasant population spends their lives under the necromancers protection, in exchange for a lords Tax and the gifting of their bodies after death.

Now the Necropolis faces peril.
The Necromancer King is dead, with no clear successor left to take his place.
His two star pupils have rallied the other necromancers that live inside the city to their side to seize control, From the apprentices spending their time commanding the dead and repairing minor damage, to the Masters who spend their days toiling within their workshops to advance their understanding of death in all its forms.

You are of the Bleached skull.

The world scorns you and your magic, hunting down those of you that committed the terrible crime of learning such forbidden magic.
Outside the walls of the necropolis, safe places for you and yours are rare, With the dominant religion of the world declaring that you must be hunted down and exterminated where ever you and yours are found.

If the world has scorned you so then you must pay that scorn back to the world.
The necropolis is home to the strongest necromancers in the world, and is a defensive structure unmatched. Should the gates of the necropolis, Mountainous in size and made from obsidian coloured Iron and armies of the dead march to war, few are those that can match you and fewer still that could stop you.

Of course, in order to gather the necropolis into such an act, you must take the throne via force, defeating the fools of the black rose that desire to sit in their workshops and bot the world out of mind.

Your leader Damien Blackthorn has promised to lead you to conquest outside of these walls. For him you will take control of the necropolis by hook or by crook, and scorn the world.

No one truly wishes to fight a civil war. For now control of the city has been split in half, and the Castle has been locked shut behind some of the most powerful magics of the late Necromancer King. Hopefully, an agreement can be reached before fighting breaks out.

As necromancers flow into the city many new ideas and skill sets are getting many of the master necromancers excited. A buzzing energy flows around the makeshift necromantic academy that the necromancer joining you have set up and the various workshops that surround it.

it is currently Turn -2
No fighting for the first 3 turns. Dice set at 10 until turn 1.
Dice cannot be banked during preparatory turns.
Projects can be canceled during Preparatory turns, but only during the design phase and those dice are only usable in the revision phase.

The world has no desire for you and yours in it. Every major kingdom and a majority of the minor ones desire for the death of all those who have learned necromancy.

If that is their desire, then you will leave them alone, and live your life in the only shelter your people have ever known. If they have no desire for you in the world then that is fine, the necropolis and the study of necromancy is a world all of its own.

If it wasn’t for the Bleached skulls desire to risk the safety of your world, you and your faction would probably never even have gathered behind Isabella’s claim to the throne. But as it is, the Bleached skull’s plan to attack the outside world and the countries that surround you could ruin everything.
The Necropolis has stood for millennia upon millennia, and such an attempt to conquer the outside world could sound the death knell for the city, as instead of the massive city being an impossibly hard target that doesn’t cause them any problems, it becomes a true Threat to all of them.

No expense would be too much to conquer such a dangerous target.
To save your world from those who would scorn another, you will throw your support behind the black rose to take the throne for Isabella Hawkmourne.

The master of Necropolis, largest necromancer city in the world, has fallen to the inevitable grasp of death, even with all of his phylacteries and protections. This death has reverberated around the world, with many of the countries aligned with the pantheon of light have Begun creating plans to lay siege to the fortress city of the dead, a near-impossible task only thought of due to the newly created chaos in the city.

Necromancers from around the world flock to the city, eager to make an attempt for the throne before being absorbed into one of the two power blocks that dominate the insides of the city.

Both power blocks are led by apprentices to the former Lord, and each are preparing to defeat the other and claim the city as quickly as possible.

The Black Rose faction, led by Isabella Hawkmourne is Founded upon the principles of Gaining knowledge and Isolating themselves from the outside world that scorns them and their art, acting only in defense of the city and theirs.

and the Bleached Skull faction recently renamed to Ediolon vigil's, led by Damien Blackthorn  Founded upon the idea of Spreading their Ideas, and territory, via force and taking revenge form the outside world that attempts to crush all that they have made.

Right now the leaders of these two factions are competing for the seat of the Necropolis, and the future of the Necromantic city hangs in the balance.
Will the Pantheon of light manage to destroy the city, Will the black rose prove victorious over the Bleached Skull? Vis versa?

TL:DR
The master necromancer is dead and his two Apprentices are vying for the throne due to competing politics. This Civil war also has to contend with attempts by the pantheon of light aligned nation attempting to remove a city filled heretics.


The city of Necropolis is made up of 56 districts. Each district is organized into 1 of 14 ward, With each ward being different from the next. This is due to the early days of the necropolis when instead of one ruling Necromancer king, it was made up of 14 Necromancer lords.

Each necromancer lord customized their ward to their personal tastes and to complement their research. After the first necromancer King managed to conquer the city, he ended the hereditary positions that the lords had been.

The Black Rose Faction led by Isabella Hawkmourne. Isolationists that wish to keep the status quo and ensure the survival of the Necropolis.
The Ediolon Vigils Faction led by Damien Blackthorn. Would-be conquerors who desire to use the necropolis's might to take revenge on the world that has scorned them.

I always thought the Idea of an arms race between orks would be cool, due to the sheer craziness that orks can accomplish. So I’ve decided to run this arms race and hand the reins of the ork meks and docs over to the craziness that is Forumites.

Warband Jagged Eadz.
 Orks that posses a strong Fascination with Cyborks and cybernetic Modification They currently lack the Ability to… well… make Cybernetics yet. As such The Jagged Eadz get their names for the surgically implanted Pieces of metal that Get implanted into their heads, sometimes without their Consent when the Doks Get a little to worked up.

Warband Hamma Huntaz
The Hamma Huntaz Have grown an obsession with Blunt force trauma and the various means of inflicting it, as such  They have completely replaced all cutting implements with Mallets and hammers of various sizes. Unfortunately for the Boyz this Obsession has carried over to the Doks as well.

A few decades ago this planet was a thriving imperial hive world, managing to overcome those difficulties that living on a death world promises to the inherently stubborn life that is humanity.
The humans of this planet fought long and hard, killing wildlife and forcing them back into jungles that were more than capable of eating whole armour Divisions time and time again.
Eventual, construction of the hive had officially “finished” and the sheer toxicity of the ash wastes, vast sections of land that surround the massive hive city’s that have been poisoned and turned unliveable by the sheer toxic runoff of the Massive Arcology, managed to force both the forest and the beasts back.

The planet was surviving, and truly in the 41st millennium that’s all that can be truly asked.

Then WAAAGH!! FaceStompa arrived with his fleet.
The terrifying war boss lead his horde of greenskins against the planet's defenders, Running Ramshod over the imperial guard and PDF that were stationed on world, before slaughtering all that made their home inside of the hive cities that dotted the planet. Only one Hive city managed to hold against the onslaught, for more than half of the attack, Hive Leten Survived.

Then the Warboss slammed his space hulk into the hive city, creating shockwaves that echoed around the planet and disgorged his personal forces directly into the hive cities heart.


The planet was devastated and Conquered in ten days.

WAAAGH!! Facestompa moved on with his Warbands, making minor repairs to his hulk and the armada before going off in search of the next fight.

This is not the story of WAAAGH!! Facestompa, who was later killed in combat by the Salamanders Space marine chapter, and his WAAAGH!!! Scatter across the warp and real space.
This is the story of Two savage Warbands, born from the orkoid spores that were released during the WAAGH’s brief passing. This is the story of the war between Warband Jagged Ead’z led by Big Dok IronJamma and The Hammer huntaz led by Warboss Jabbog MorDakka.


The Devastated planet, left without a name from the Rampage of Facestompa all those decades ago, will burn once more, as the war of the Greenskins never truly leaves once it has touched a planet.

This war will be a baptism of Fire. One warband will prove itself victories and lead a WAAAGH out into the stars, repeating the process, as ever more planets will be fed to the inferno.

For in the Grim Dark Future There is only war.

And that just how you and yours like it.





A turn will be one of the planets seasons worth of combat between both of the tribes, While this doesn’t matter much because orkish timekeeping is a rather finicky thing to begin with. So Season one will be
001 of Da Big Brawl. For the sake of timekeeping.
