Yeah. XD I'm thinking of making the basic Metal caste stuff be copper, Nobility stuff be silver, and then the O7 and ruler shall be gold? And weapon and armor Smiths get bronze once the Stone caste military is set up. Blacksmiths and metalcrafters shall be stuck with copper.

Wait.. you can decide what dwarves wear what stuff? I made an jewel-adamantine Adamantine crown for a King in another world and couldn't figure out how to make the bleeder wear it xD

Nope. It's copper and 20% silver. Magnetite, Hematite, one other I can't remember, and goblinite are the ones of iron. So probably going to have to wait for that. Should be able to import enough casserite for bronze...

Copper will do, and Silver's better for hammers because of the weight so whatever we can get a hold of I'll forge with xD as long as we set some silver aside for minting coins anyway

No worries :3 I plan on working on a couple of fleshed-out buildings and some high-rise housing anyhow, having a booze cellar for taverns would come in quite handy as well xD I build above-ground housing quite a bit for visitors and non-dwarf saves, so this stuff's second nature to me

Quick one. I know we're reserving underground stuff for tombs and prisons (and maybe food storage, I've heard it stops it rotting as fast or something), what's the policy on basements? I was thinking of setting up a smithy that keeps the coal downstairs for convenience until we set up magma pumps.

Here's hoping I can grind by smithing some crappy Iron stuff while it gets processed, our men must wield only the finest weaponry if it is made of metals of that caliber.

I haven't seen a tantrum spiral in years xD genuinely started to think they were patched out and we just kept the running joke, like with carp.

I'll give it another day or two and see if Canemaster's had the time to get around to starting his turn, he mentioned he had some IRL stuff to deal with.

If he's still busy I'll see if he's okay with moving his turn back a little so we can keep the save moving.

Indeed, farming above-ground will be quite a challenge, but we can have other source of food, like animals, bit anyway, more challenging  :)

Depending how close to the mountains we are there may be a farmable area on the outskirts of the map, I'll search when I take over :)

Yeah, companions are allowed. I played Adventure Mode in my spare pre-embark copy of the save and was only able to play as an Outsider, making finding armor a nightmare due to Humans being long extinct. You're gonna need backup, be it living or undead xD

On that note, if you're feeling ballsy I DID give the location of a Vault containing the name slab of the tortoise fiend that rules one of the Goblin Civs (there are two Vaults, but the second demon is long dead), I imagine he'd make a handy little helper >:3 he owns half of the Dwarven artifacts anyway, so him and that Dragon are on my hit list :P

Cool :D There will be some minor rules with the Adventurers that I'll put up later (Or give it its own thread when this fortress wraps up), but whoever slays the most megabeasts/recovers the most artifacts/whatever will be given naming rights to a later fortress in this world, or have it named after their character. Keep things interesting :D

My schedule just opened up if you still want players. :)
I always build above-ground towns for my forts to house non-dwarf visitors and my military (prevents cave adaptation mid-fight) so I fancy building a decent tavern and some dwarven high-rises. :p

Should check Gaydar or Dwarf Therapist to make sure you don't try pairing up a Gay/Asexual dwarf with the opposite sex.

Luckily in my experience fully gay/asexual dwarves are a serious rarity, although my previous world, Entar, had a surprising amount of bisexuals.

I'll check the save Kametec sent back to me just in case, but if it's numerous enough to raise a problem with the gene pool I'll probably permit a later player to tweak it with DFHack on a one-off basis.

Sign me in for a turn! Looking forward for this! :)

Done. :) hopefully Canemaster posts an update soon and we can keep this party train rolling.
