8/10. Varies per sub-forum, I think.

All that goes up must come down - except in your case.

I wish for a Typeless wish.

No. None of that. We'll look weird.

Mentioning werewolves breaks our promise. Mentioning vampires is generally just rude if she really is, but actually just incredibly insensitive if she turns out to just be a person with an inherited skin condition that killed her father.

She has red eyes. I don't think we're looking at a skin condition here.

Perhaps we could jokingly mention something about 'profaning temples.' Of course, that assumes she plays DF.

Albinism actually can result in pink/red eyes. It's a pigmentation issue. It also leads to skin cancer and irritation when exposed to the sun. Due to again, the pigmentation issue.

I stand corrected.

Don't outright mention her condition if we can help it. Wait for her to say incriminating things of her own accord.

This was a MENSA-organized test, strictly pattern recognition of abstract shapes. Not sure how much of a role education plays in that.
Huh. Fair enough. I have no idea how MENSA works, so interesting.

MENSA works like this: a bunch of losers invent elaborate ways to justify a feeling of smug superiority towards everyone else in the absence of any actual achievements, then wonder why they aren't taken more seriously.

This sounds suspiciously like straw man.

DF General Discussion / Re: Is playing dwarf fortress ethical?

So:
Dwarves are not sentient; however, because of the Eliza effect, does harm done to a DF character reflect/modify one's real-life view of violence?

My gut feeling is no; at the moment, though, I would be hard pressed to say why. Could someone try to?

Other Games / 2:22 AM Thread
« on: May 30, 2018, 09:02:57 pm »
There is a game called 2:22 AM, involving an eerie TV show accessed late at night. On each playthrough, different pictures, interactive scenes, videos, and messages will appear. It's not clear if there is an underlying story behind the imagery; some images suggest yes, some no, but it's still unknown, and hard to investigate since you never know if a given playthrough has exhausted all the images and messages. That's what this thread is for: the more of us there are playing it, the more information we will gather, and we can discuss our findings and theories here.

Anyone?

The wish genie is driven mad by the void in place of a wish, and weird stuff starts happening.

I wish for a B12 Lost thread.

Apparently SCO once tried to defend themselves against allegations of misleading advertising by claiming that 'the First Amendment allowed it'.
He he he.

We should post the Ant Fugue in the ant thread, assuming said thread is started.
