Once the justice system finds its way into adventure mode, will it be possible for your player character to start out as a prisoner?

Once the magic system gets implemented (I'm aware that's still a while coming), will players creating their own magic-powered technology for their forts be a possibility?

Ride! A stone slabs as it slides through dwarves and just bide your time until it stops. We ought to be able to get it moving by engraving "This is a mine cart." on the side.
^Any suggestion that's not this one is invalid.

In adventure mode, will your character ever be able to call out a demon that's taken over a human civilization in the guise of a god (or, you know, any modded creature with the [POWER] token) as a false deity, in a similar way to how you can currently expose night creatures?

It probably isn't on default world parameters, but this world was customized with an extremely low number of civs and I guess humans weren't one of them.

Just started my first fortress on my new Macbook laptop (which I got primarily for university work but of course I still had to download DF on it). It's in a small vanilla world where dwarven civilization is drawing its final breaths, all elven civs appear to be extinct, and goblins are the dominant race with their fortresses occupying like a third of the world surface. Oh, and I don't think humans ever even existed in this world. So obviously, this fortress should be a very Fun one. Will update as things develop.

1. multiple moons has been mentioned as a possible thing, especially in the context of werebeast funniness involving multiple moon phases

Oh god, that would be hilarious! XD

fortress building and hillock building are two different tags
if you don't want them to build fortresses don't give them cave detailed
Alright, thanks.

1. While reading one of ThreeToe's old stories, I was struck by the fact that the setting of one story seemed to have a named moon (Eros, if I recall correctly). Any chance of celestial bodies eventually being given their own unique names beyond just basics like "Sun" and "Moon" in worldgen, or perhaps even being capable of generating worlds with multiple suns or moons, etc.? It would certainly add depth to the lore of individual worlds in my opinion.
2. If in adventure mode your character becomes a threat to a major civilization (for example if he/she becomes a master criminal, night creature, evil sorceror, maybe they've just killed a few too many important people with a lack of reason for such, etc.), will it eventually be possible for NPC heroes to be issued quests to destroy you? Like, let's say, one day you're just minding your own business in your necromancer tower and then suddenly BOOM: an adventuring party armed with weapons shows up at your doorstep and tries to kill you? The idea of finding yourself being the villain of someone else's story is certainly something I find intriguing.

Question: is there currently any way to control which sites your entities construct: for example, is there a way to make a CAVE_DETAILED-based race live JUST in hillocks and never make fortresses? Because I think that would be ideal for the halfling civ that I'm working on.

I'm 20, started playing DF around March or April of this year.

I certainly hope so. Been playing the game for a few months now and I really enjoy it (even if I'm still not past the learning curve lmao). DF is such a unique, innovative and ambitious project, and I look forward to seeing it continue to grow and develop now that I'm an active member of its fandom.

I tend to make large worlds (I know it's more space than I'd ever use but that's part of the beauty IMO) with short histories, a high number of civs, high savagery, a high beast pop, and minerals everywhere. Still getting the hang of the custom parameters.

Oh, I'm new to the community by the way. You don't seem to have a welcome thread for newcomers, so I guess I'll just say hello here. XD
