^Not exactly a constructive or sensitive comment, given that I suspect English isn't DerMeister's first language. They can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, though.

Go for his axe because a filthy human has infiltrated his fortress.

WWUD when the human throws a pie in his face before he can reach his axe?

Look it up if you really want to know (spoiler alert: you don't).

Going off of the boardgame idea...

DF: The Tabletop RPG

Sounds like a brilliant idea in theory, sure, until the GM finds out that he/she has to roll randomly on every individual aspect of worldgen before they can even start building an adventure. Every single one. It'll make FATAL seem like a pleasurable experience by comparison, that should tell you something.

And as the world bands together, putting aside old prejudices, the poor old kobolds are left to face the zombie apocalypse alone. Just because no-one understands what they're babbling about. How cruel.

Hey, at least there'll be a surplus of corpses they can loot for shinies. Not entirely a raw deal, if you ask me. :P

Launch an assault on the cracker goblins and their god-king: the terrible cracker devil (a towering mongoose twisted into humanoid form composed of crackers. Beware its deadly dust!).

WWUD when the cracker goblins start eating their way through the cheese army's shields and weapons (which are also made of cheese)?

That actually sounds kind of interesting. Would certainly add more depth to dorf personality, despite the inevitable frustration.

Damn it, people! These suggestions aren't terrible enough. Work harder!

Let him leave, he'll either walk out of our lives forever or become a mildly amusing recurring villain.

When necromancers attack cities, are they just trying to kill everyone, or do they stop after seizing power?

I've just always wondered if a necromancer's idea of world domination is anything less than "extinction of all life" and if the living have any place under their rule.

I think "end of the world", which is the term Toady has used to describe necromancer domination, would imply an end-goal at least of wiping out all civilized creatures (if not all life in general). Though I guess they could pull a Sauron and just seek to enslave some creatures and wipe out others.

Can we not start a flame war in yet another suggestion thread?

Hence why I argue not to engage them.

90% sure Iduno is a troll, best not to engage them honestly.

Either way, you'll be perfectly able to create the kind of Tolkienesque world you want. Not sure why you'd want to deny others the freedom to create the kind of fantasy world they prefer just because you want things a particular way (and again, you'll be able to create your world that way if you want).

Not saying that's the impression you intended to give, just a warning that it's pretty easy to read that interpretation into the OP.

This seems like it would be easy enough to implement and would certainly add a bit more depth to works of art. +1

Something I've been curious about for a while:

What exactly was your inspiration for making goblins immortal? I've had trouble finding a precedent for it in fantasy games and literature, indeed they're often shown to have lifespans shorter than that of the average humanoid (vanilla D&D goblins seldom live more than 60 years, for instance). Or is it something just entirely original that you came up with on your own?
