DF Gameplay Questions / Brewing Dwarven wine conditional

Got a good help of someone: set conditional arguments so as they say
"when dwarven wine : <75&& plump helmets >5 && empty barrels >1, brew plump helmets"

Then you never have to check your brewers again if you don't want to. You can proceed to set another one for barrels so thats never an issue either. => another alcoholic drink then i conclude. 
Its no more tedious levels of micromanagement

But doing this order in the manager screen ?
I tried, but get not yet a hang to it ?

All sorts of options for playing a not standard dwarf fortress,  but for now i like to play the default version tile set for DF.
Why there is no button in LNP for restoring the default Dwarf fortress configuration?

DF Suggestions / Tabbed embark page with different tilesets

I find it confusing to decipher all those symbols in the default DF game and the other tilesets DF games.
Now, i don't know on the embark screen what all symbols are on the world map.

Therefore i suggest to add a draggable tabs feature  for the embark screen for different tilesets
   
A idea what i get from a person is to produce a default embarkscreen and later on a another tileset embarkscreen
Is it possible to generate two identical embark worlds with different tilesets in DF ?

So DF generated a default embark screen and translate this to tabs with other tilesets
Drag een tabbed page to another screen is very handy: in my case i do have a widescreen for two screens next to eachother

All fortresses has to deal with dampstone on a low z level.
Seems to be impossible to find a free dampstone spot.

The staircase is filling with water...

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Adventure mode versus fort mode

At the moment i am playing in the fortress mode and its challencing
The idea of a adventurer looks to me promising too : wander around outside in the world instead of underground in a fortress.
How to play like a adventurer and what features does have the adventurer mode  (for example :  like a legends viewer in fortress and oversight in Civilization/world map)

- there is fast travel i noticed

DF Suggestions / Guild halls

As i understand it correct : items do have quality levels
The real guilds ( here in Holland long time ago ) take a apprentice and give them education to becomes a master in his workmanship (a masterproof )

How is this in Dwarf Fortress made ?
The guild members are now only sitting together in their guildhall in DF?

Can there be made a masterproof by guild members to give the fort a extraordinairy item ?
Example: a mason must build special wall construction... like that.

DF Gameplay Questions / Manager is not alone in his meager office

I made a room for the manager, but het is accompanied by another dwarf
Made two rooms for the manager and in both cases , there is extra person with him ( his friend ..haha) ?

Are rooms immediately occupied after construction ?
The manager shows inactivity, while there are 2  conditionally workorders to perform ..is he busy with other tasks?

DF Gameplay Questions / Woodcutter lost his axe in water

Wow, the woodcutter seems lost his axe and in a pool of water: i must try to get the axe out of the water ? 
So , there is no wood and no stone anymore at the moment
I did some wood chopping and suddenly he stops with chopping trees the woodcutter: what caused that ? … lost his axe

The caravan has already visit the fort, so no chance to get a axe

I did not check a caravan for plump helmets
No plump helmets to get and so i must farm outside the.
I read a advice here  to get potatoes as good food source, but where to find them

What is the best outside crop for farming ?

I need all turkeys inside the fort for breeding, but the male and a female Turkey are walking outside 
Also some chicken outside also

How to get the birds (poultry) in a pasture aera : you cannot command them.
I see that this birds are far from the fort : how to get hem back in the fort ?

DF Gameplay Questions / Health monitor and defending

There is a health monitor in the right bottom corner ..it  is installed by DF hack i  think?
The total number of dwarfs are visible, together with seven states of health conditions.

-What health conditions are those colors standing for ?

At the moment i see that all dwarves are stressed, depicted by a red arrow and there is 1 dwarf with a red number ,and 6 with a yellow number and 3 with a with number : tottal of 10 dwarves

The most difficult part to start to build a start fortress (one year old ) is to feed the dwarves and facing goblin enemies
How to defend the fortress at maximum at the start of building it ..i placed some cages for the entrance, because how to get a soldier/defending dwarf with no weapons ( is this possible?)

Can't tell anymore (determining) what caused the blinking from the dwarves ?..
What are all cases for this :
- status icon 
- bottom tile doubled with different ground materials ( example: a stone floor with a boulder on it) 
 - ?

On the bottom right in mainscreen there was a indication about the health of the dwarfs : i don't see it anymore on the screen ?
Left top there are two indicators  : what is this for a indicator ?

To get a idea if the dwarves how  thirsty , hungry and happiness they are.
