Ok, new rule. A vote for all actions like this, is we have the time to think these things through.

Fair enough.

On the plus side, I'd distracted an Atlantean army long enough for you guys to do some serious damage should you decide to take it. Just look out for Cisharni.

Whelp, it's time for damage control.

I am seriously considering doing just that. With my Legendary Persuasion (14), I may even be able to write thousand of propaganda leaflets that will actually shift the blame on the Atlanteans next turn

"Archaementes, I have something to discuss with you" Rigel said cheerfully, while flashing his most terrifying smile and notching an arrow.

I am one more disaster away from re-branding myself as a nature spirit.

Nice try, I'm hiding behind a Force Shield. ;P

Assuming that they survived the strange 'plague' of madness that afflicted their comrades on the way to China...
Goddamnit Elventide.

I'm sorry! I must have rolled a 1 or something!

It was a combo of rolling a 2 and spreading thousands of cursed coins along major roads and into the hands of thirsty, hungry, and horny soldiers. :P

I serious didn't think this through, did I?

Okay, I'll admit my responsibility for the fiasco due to the cursed coins but the plague brought on by the escaped Chinese and Japanese soldiers isn't my doing. Remember that these guys escaped from armies that contained Spartans, who can easily catch up to them. Also remember that one of these armies is commanded by Apollo himself. You know, the Greek god of diseases and plagues? My curse is spread by coins, not directly by exposure to infected people.

Annabelle raised an eyebrow. From Dis' actions and mutterings, he didn't appeared to just be attempting to manipulate fate; he seemed to be actively controlling events happening to something or someone he was viewing through the bowl of water. When he mentioned something about 'not wanting to put someone's mother through more heartbreak, Annabelle begin to became a bit nervous. However, when Dis also ordered 'Sinister", presumably the other guard, to attend to another person's wounds due to a trap that shoots poisoned arrows, she felt relief. Dis seems to be both courteous and compassionate.

Leaving Dis to his devices, Annabelle decides to:

Leave the room and do some more exploring.

They take our best warrior out of commission, and now they have to deal with a guy they can barely see, and definitely can't touch.

"So basically, the Geography Club are too reckless for their own good and are trifling with beings whose ultimate motives remain unknown, possibly until it's too late," Nagisa concluded as she played with a few loose strands of her long, dark purple hair. "Hmm and here I am, thinking that it's strange that these 'demons' would choose to hang out with people like us instead of trying to eat us."

Thinking about what Hway said after getting killed by a fellow lost soul, Nagisa thought back to when she was shot by one of the hitmen. "Anyway, let's say that, hypothetically, someone else, like a mundane for example, wants to kill you for a variety of reasons. Is it possible for them to actually succeed in doing so with mundane weapons despite you being a lost soul?"

Right, Elventide I love the action (cue evil GM laugh), but only worshippers count towards the worship bonus. It’s been awhile so don’t worry about it, just when you get the chance you should change it to not receive a worship bonus, or to recruiting worshippers.

Got it!

Taking in telepathically Turangol's prediction of the Pharaoh's plan and the subsequent investigation of the soul gem that he planned to use, Archaementes bemoaned the fact that the antics of this psychopathic asshole of a Cisharni has stalled his own agenda concerning the Greek city-states. Just four years of finally taking control of the reigns of Greek politics and already he knew that he had only two years to make a move before the Pharaoh does... whatever he is planning to do. Regardless of whether he planned to steal some sort of power hidden in the Chinese nexuses or unleashing a terrifying creature from Sind knows where, Archaementes' grand scheme will have to wait. He has an apocalypse to stall if not outright prevent.

Archaementes was pleased that Sophia has inherited about five-sixth of his Sindari heritage as far as he can tell. Though he would've still loved her even if she inherited none, the extra 'specialness' will go a long way in helping her surpass her human peers and perhaps one day inheriting his entire Sind shard,  taking over the Shrouded Dawn should a Cisharni somehow managed to find and slay him in battle. In fact, Archaementes has intentions to groom her into the necessary mindset whenever he could and have been keeping unsavory secrets about his previous actions from Herodias. As much as he loved her, he knew that she was too… honest and fainthearted to tolerate the shady deeds he often have to do. As much as it pained him, Archaementes chose to keep her ignorant of all this, if only to protect her innocence.

1 year spent using the Madness Curse on coins and having his spies in Persia scatter them on frequent Atlantean military routes

Based on his frequent telepathic communications, Archaementes learned that his fellow Sindari managed to repel the first Atlantean offensive. Even Flak, the Beast of Africa, managed to slay a Spartan champion in melee while Wavebringer succeeded in crushing thousands of Atlanteans with giant hailstones. In total, Sparta lost two of her companies while Atlantis lost even more soldiers. However, he knew that the Cisharni were really riled up this time as they were leading the armies themselves, with one of them identified as Apollo. If the Sindari's powerful cousins were leading the offensive this time then China stood almost no chance of stopping the Atlanteans this time.

They metaphorically needed the sunlight to be in their eyes.

Getting 5 of his Gold exchanged for 5,000 pieces of silver (I'm assuming that we're using either Atlantean or 'generic' currency in this game), Archaementes put a notch on each of them and begin applying his Madness Curse on them, tweaking the skill so that it'll hopefully fade from the coins after two years but begin affecting the victims two weeks after exposure. He used Soul Gems whenever necessary. Using tongs, Archaementes carefully placed each of them into a total of 500 cloth bags. Sending them to his spies in Persia via trusted messengers, Archaementes also sent encrypted orders for them to scatter the cursed coins along the Atlanteans' supply and army routes, The orders also warned them not to touch the coins with their bare hands or they too will be cursed by madness. If everything goes well, the Atlantean soldiers should come across the coins and pick them up, thinking that the preceding forces had dropped them. Two weeks later, the Atlanteans and hopefully the Spartans too should tear into each other or hurt themselves in fits of madness. At the very most, the armies will become so disorderly that they can be finished off by a swift coup de grace by his fellows, ending the threat quickly so that they can focus more on finding the Pharaoh and stopping his unknowable but sinister plan. At the very least, the armies will be distracted long enough for the other Sindari to bolster China's defenses or set up a more formidable trap.

Telepathically informing the other Sindari of his plan and to beware of any notched coins the Atlanteans may be carrying, Archaementes turned to do other tasks.

1 year spent gathering worshippers.

In case the Pharaoh succeeds in his hidden agenda, the Atlanteans crush China's defense despite his actions, or both, Archaementes figured that more helping hands is needed to solidify his hold on Greece  so that he can then turn his gaze toward Gaul, Iberia, Germania, the British Isles, and other lands to the west. Needless to say, the Shrouded Dawn grew much larger.

Desired Effects:
Atlantis' armies suffer from madness caused by cursed coins.

10 X 3 Presence = 30 Skill 1 Citizens? = Total number of followers: 640 = +3 Attributes

Intelligence:10 Willpower:10 Presence:4

Family:
   Herodias, Wife, Age: 29
Sophia, Daughter, Age: 9, 5/6 Sindari

Remaining Wealth/Assets: 92 gold and 8 silver.

Actually, I decided to keep the wolf as I get to decide the gender, and if I choose female, I get two breeding pairs of 6/6 wolves. I want to keep her so I can make a wolf army. Also, as soon as the soul gem crisis is over, I'm going to work on a spell that lets me take on the shape of an animal, and lets my infused animals take on human shape.

You'll do that, SM. Meanwhile, a new spell needs testing...

You have the doll open the door and proceed through the dark corridor beyond. There is a similar door in the other side of the corridor, which you guess is your objective.

As you walk you notice there are doors with metal bars that remind you of prison cell doors. 4 of them in total. Jack pauses and approaches one of them to try to discern what's inside them. He quickly dodges backwards. A moment later a mouth full of teeth snaps closed where his head was.
"Damn thing!" he shouts at it angrily.
The 2 creatures in the cell growl and snap their teeth at him in response. Similar growls are echoed from the other cells. Now that you can see them somewhat better, this monster reminds you of a mix between a rat and a dog. Its body is more or less exactly like a giant rat's, including the long nearly hairless tail and hand-like paws. But its head, its body language and especially its teeth remind you that of a dog.

Jack looks at you and motions towards the cell.
"What do you say? Can you summon some dolls on the other side and have them deal with those things? I bet we're going to have to fight them sooner or later, so we might as well kill them when they can't fight back."
"Maybe. Or maybe she'll see us killing them and open the cell doors. Then  we'll be stuck here, surrounded, with nowhere to run."
Jack shrugs.
"Hey man, your choice. I'm just making a suggestion. I ain't gonna waste what few cards I have left on them."

There are things coming out of the creatures, machines attached to their body with wires and red tubes leading away from them. You lean closer to the cage, tracing the wires and tubes to a machine attached to one of the walls.
"I wonder what they are doing here... Why have those things in a casino vault? What purpose..."
"I already told you man, this place is fake. There is no purpose to it beyond being here for us. It's just scenery made for this challenge."
"Even the scenery in a play must have some logic behind it."

♚The Doll Prince: Freaks of Nature Mad Science!♚

Napoleon rubbed his chin thoughtfully. Those red lines remind him of tubing used in hospitals for blood transfusions and dialysis and of the like. Also, those machines on their backs and the one attached to the wall seemed to be essential to their continued survival, otherwise they wouldn't be there. Lastly, the unholy fusion of the creatures' canine and rodent traits immediately eliminated them as being naturally occurring. Needless to say, Napoleon felt a deep sense of foreboding welling up inside of him.

"This is no ordinary casino," Napoleon breathed as he held the pistol tightly. "In fact, I'm quite sure that the Queen's Tower Casino is just a front for a secret laboratory. Why else would they build this massive structure underneath a casino just to house a vault? Merde, this changes everything."

Looking at the door before them, Napoleon took a deep breath. "Whatever that awaits us inside may be even more unnerving than brutish security personnel. First, then put these... things out of their misery. If we make sure the door is behind us, we can avoid getting completely surrounded."

Go to the door ahead of them. Before entering, put the rat-dog abominations out of their misery by shooting at the machine on the wall. If the machine's destruction doesn't cause the creatures to die, put each down with a bullet to the head. In case the gates open, summon a wall of tough dolls around Napoleon and Jack to hold off the creatures while he kill them. If Napoleon misses the machine after a few shots but the gates don't open, conserve ammo and enter through the door behind them.

"Chubby2man - Today at 2:12 PM
I feel like it’s only fair to warn you guys that this is not dungeons and dragons. I haven’t prepared “level” appropriate encounters. You are (I think) about equal to Spartan champions ,attribute wise, right now. You can mop the floor with regular soldiers. Cisharni can and will mess you up if you aren’t careful. Remember, this war started when someone (inadvertently) killed a Cisharni. This enraged them and sent them on a wave of conquest to make the world safe, because they have the power to do that. I’m not going to hold back their punches just because something happened that triggered them early. So if you go after the Pharaoh with no plan better then rushing him with superior numbers, expect that to go poorly. That being said, he not invincible, (though it wouldn’t be far off). Odds are very good he will succeed at his plan (though I have thought of way to mitigate it, and I’m not going to be shooting down plans that could work). I just figure since it has been awhile I should remind everybody that the Cisharni are stronger than you right now and not every challenge can or should be faced head on. That will change one day, and you’ll flip the tables on them. Basically, I’m saying all this to prevent “Wait, how were we supposed to beat THAT?!” When the answer is probably, “You weren’t supposed to face that head on yet :P”"

Welp.

Shall we consider the Lethe option?

You mean causing oblivion?

Elventide, I don't think we should be focusing our resources in Greece right now. Now, on a completely unrelated note, what do people think of the plan to use our smiths to turn Flak into a bonafide terminator?

It may appear so but if this works I will now have the increased resources to either send aid to China as discreetly as possible or secretly fund more raiders wishing to harass the Atlanteans' supply lines. Also, if the increased scrutiny on Greece is due in part to the increased oversight of the Greek authorities and not just the Atlanteans then it could potentially be loosened a bit, allow me to act much more easily.

As for your plan, here's a word of advise: If Flak runs into a Cisharni whose last name is Conner, run like hell.  :P
