DF Gameplay Questions / dwarfs are not barring a corpus

all,

my dwarfs are not barring a corpus of a citizen and a diplomat. I have empty coffins i have placed (built) and marked for burial. several dwarfs have the  burial.  labor enabled. Neither should be a wear-creature. I turned off the setting in world gen.  I cant even get the dwarfs  to dump the courses. my dwarfs are throwing tantrums. how do I take care of the issue.

Ii got it to work this time. I reinstalled I and was able to connect DT to DF after opening. I let you know if i have any more trouble.

I have purged the log in my last attempt. I did not think of looking before. should I try it again and look at the log?

All,

I am trying to get a working  copy of dwarf therapist. I posted on an thread to get some help. some one suggested I post it on this thread to get some help. here is a recap.

In the past I could just down load the windows copy and it worked.

I have Lazy newby Pack (python version) of DF.

I downloaded DT as usual. I  extracted, installed and launched DT, however it would not connect to an already loaded fort.

I have tried several times.

I am trying to make sure i get the right version. I down loaded the one from this link: http://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=13095

I am putting it in the same place as DF which is the place i think it need to be to work.

I have tried to purge all previous attempts/ copies of DT to try and make sure I don't launch the wrong copy.

can you please help me to get a working copy DT? I am at the point where originating my dwarfs will become critical.

Specifics
operating systems:  windows 10 64 bit
dwarf fort version: 0.44.12
LNP version: PyLNP .13b Lazy Newb Pack Edition

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / need working copy of dwarf therapist

All,

I am trying to get a working  copy of dawrf therpist. I have the Lazy newby Pack (python version) of DF. In past versions of DF I would just download a seprate window coppy of DT and it worked. This time around it did not.

I downloaded a separate windows copy of DT. Extracted the folder and put it in the same folder as DF. Ran the program and tried to connect an open fort. It has not worked.

I have tried this several times. I tried to make sure I got the rite verson, put it in the right place (the same folder as DF). I also tried deleting all DT files between tries. It has not worked. What am I doing it wrong?

operating systems:  windows 10 64 bit

LNP version: PyLNP .13b Lazy Newb Pack Edition

I am using quickfort. The main problem is the blue print i use for quick fort do not come out the same as what when i use it in the game. for example the blue print to dig out the meeting halls is:

while when i import it in to the game i get:

basically when the program runs it dose not come out the same. it not only with this one blueprint either there are other blueprints it happens with.

thank you Seleucian not being in the designation menu was my problem. i take it i would also have to be in the appropriate menu for #build.

All,

i trying to use quick fort. i know to use Alt-F to chose the blue print and to use Alt-D to get it in dawrfort. however when i use alt-d it dose not put the blueprint in to dwarf fort. I tried it with several different blueprints i destined. as far as i can tell there is nothing wrong with the CSVs. also i am digging in an area where there should not be any thing like wet stone or hot stone so the mining would be canceled for any part of it. yet the blueprint dose not show up.

how do fix the  problem?

In barracks, do I need a armor stand, weapons rack, chest and cabinet for each dwarf in a squad? also what is the idea size for a squad?

Ok I tried testing the ideas on my barrel stock pile. I linked the shop where they were made and still where. changed the custom setting on the pile to specify what quality level of barrels. only one barrel was placed there. I even tried dumping the barrels and reclaiming them. they are still not in the pile. any other ideas?

everyone,

I have several stockpiles set up for specific things such as barrels, sand bags, metal bars ect... but my dwarfs are not stocking them. there are dwarfs with hailing laborers but the dwarfs are not stocking them. I don't know why how do i get them to stock them?

DF Gameplay Questions / testing access to an area

everyone,

I have a u shaped tower 3 tiles wide around the entrance to the fort. on top the central tile is removed so my dwarfs can walk around and shoot invaders. I have a path way from the inside of the fort... or at least I think I do. I want to test to see it the dwarfs can get to that area. how would I do this?

basically, how do I test if my dwarfs can get to any given area?

Is is not sleeping and  now is very drowsy. In fact he has hardly moved from his spot. and he is melancholy but I do not recall a strange mood with him.
