(This is going to go poorly)

(Probably. Maybe after she kills several of us, she'll feel so guilty about it that she'll just give herself up. We can always hope.)

Seeing Reggie in need of rescue, Myrtle's compassionate heart gets the better of her and she boldly rushes into action...by slowly exiting the vehicle, putting her gas mask on (to protect her delicate face), and limping toward the poor guy at a snail's pace.

Put on my gas mask for slight facial protection. Then slowly approach Reggie and use my medical pouch to stop the bleeding. If Matilda mistakes me for some kind of monster or something and starts throwing knives my way, then immediately retreat back to the van.

Ivan shrugs, and heads back to the van. He notices what's happening between Matilda and Reggie, and that Myrtle is filming it. Lightbulb moment.

He engages Myrtle, quietly:

"Uh... excuse me, seņora, do you have much footage of the niņa threatening our friend? I think the local people know she has some power, but they think she is a good one. Maybe they would like to know she is a little more peligroso than they believe?

Maybe they will come with us if we make it too difficult for them to stay...
"

Barely able to hear Ivan's whispering, Myrtle tries adjusting her hearing aid, but to no avail. Her frail fingers and poor coordination causes the hearing aid to undergo a feedback loop, filling her ears with a screechy whistling noise. Frustrated, Myrtle grumbles to herself while removing her hearing aids for inspection. She passes her phone to Ivan.

"Ugh, sorry lad, but I'm having a little trouble hearing you at the moment. Can you do me a favor and keep recording for me? I'm trying to get some good footage to show to Child Protective Services. They need to see how badly this girl is being parented. I'd keep it up myself, but my hearing aids are acting up again, so I'll need a moment."

Give Ivan my phone. Allow him to do whatever he wants with it. Mess with my hearing aids.

(I'm glad someone caught on to what I was sort of trying to do. I don't think Myrtle would handle blackmail that well.)

Investigate my surroundings for traps. Proceed cautiously toward the medkit. If I can retrieve it, then cautiously return upstairs. Use the medkit to bandage up my chest wound. If at any time I sense danger, rush out back upstairs.

Stephano Falcone

"I'll keep you informed." Stephano spoke coldly before returning the radio back to its proper place.

She doesn't seem like she'll be much help, but I'll have to make do with the resources I have available. With the cameras scattered around, staying hidden will be difficult. I'll prioritize acting casual instead. If I move quickly, it might be possible to escape before anyone realizes I'm no longer contained.

Taking out the security card labeled "Marco Antilles", Stephano examined it and contemplated why Mantis had it in his possession.

Mantis had both a security card and a matching fake ID. Iris told me that there was a security office containing a guard between this location and the exit stairwell. Mantis would have needed to bypass this guard to reach me, which is probably what he needed the security card and ID for. I can conclude that I'm currently located in a section of the building that requires special clearance to access. Therefore, it's safe to assume that if I try to walk past the security office, the guard will stop me and ask to see my identification and clearance. If I can't provide any valid identification, then he'll likely detain me, possibly alerting the rest of the security team while doing so. Hmm...I don't have any suitable weapons on me, so fighting him isn't practical. I'll need to develop a strategy to avoid confrontation with him.

Check if my face looks similar to the face shown on the security card. If so, proceed with Plan A. Otherwise, Plan B.
Plan A
Return to Mantis' body, take his hat, and wear it and the sunglasses. If I have my own hat, then leave it on the body's head, covering its face. If it looks like Mantis' clothes can fit me, exchange clothing with him as well. Then walk through the door at the end of the hallway and casually proceed toward the security office. When I reach the office, show the guard my ID and my security card. If everything goes alright, then proceed toward the stairwell.
Plan B
Walk through the door at the end of the hallway and investigate my surroundings. Check if there is an alternate path to the office with cubicles that allows me to skip the security office. Regardless of whether there is or not, return back through the door I came through. Contact Iris. Ask her for additional details regarding the building's security protocols and what I need in order to proceed past the guards.

(Is everyone in the van just ignoring the fact I just cut my thumb off? Or it's just that on one wants to help? I'm not askih for help, I just want to see if anyone noticed that my thumb is gone.)
(Oh, forgot about that. I tweaked my action accordingly)

Continue recording Matilda. If Jay keeps pestering us about his thumb, then hand him my medical pouch so that he'll stop distracting me.

(been busy lately, but didn't want to hold up the next turn, so here's a quick action.)

Tear off part of my clothes and use them as bandages for my chest wound. If that doesn't work, then search nearby for anything that can be used as bandages. If that doesn't work out, then as a last ditch effort, approach one of the cupcake statues and lick it while hoping that it heals me.

Bored and out of ideas, Myrtle took out her smartphone. Though she was unfamiliar with most of its features, she at least knew how to operate the camera. Wouldn't have been able to record videos of her grand-kids or her cat Ginger otherwise. She aimed her camera toward miss Honey's house. Despite the unpleasant conversation with the owner, Myrtle still thought miss Honey's house was appealingly quaint. Just looking at it made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside. She didn't want to forget it. Having a few photos would help her remember one of the few positive experiences of this little adventure.

Without leaving the van, take photos of miss Honey's house. Then record a video of whatever transpires between Rosen, Reggie, miss Honey, and Matilda.

Seeing the little girl's burst of rage and the kitchen utensils threateningly floating toward her, Myrtle stops talking and turns around to leave, shaking her head disapprovingly as she does. She begins mumbling under her breath in frustration as she slowly hobbles away back toward the van.
"I'm too old for this. I don't need this kind of stress. Both of you are just hopelessly out of control. Goodbye."

Return to the van and rest for a bit. If Rosen is still yelling, then tell her to calm down and use her indoor voice. If she doesn't stop, remove my hearing aid until she does.

"I'm not afraid of you. Go away, or you will have found that you are picking on the wrong home! Is that a little girl in your truck? Sick bastards, I'm calling the sheriff!"

Shocked at this crass response, Myrtle furrowed her brow and raised her finger toward miss Honey.

"Well, excuse me, how rude! We just came by for a visit, but you're treating us like thugs. You barely even gave us a chance to explain why we came by. Is this how you treat all your visitors? You know, back in my day, when people came to visit, we would show them some hospitality, not throw out accusations! We would treat them like welcome guests, not invaders! How is your daughter supposed to learn good manners if you're setting such a bad example? Why, in all my years..."

Continue lecturing miss Honey.

"What crime did you commit again? You don't seem to belong here."

"Oh, it was all just a big misunderstanding. You see, it was a Tuesday evening and I had just finished serving dinner, when my husband Barney told me he had a bit of an upset stomach. So, I left the house and called a taxi. I would have driven myself, but the doctors won't let me have a driver's license anymore. They say my eyes just aren't up to it anymore. Anyway, I told the taxi driver to drop me off at the store so I could grab my hubby some apple cider vinegar. Mother always told me a little vinegar does a stomach good. However, it seems like the driver didn't understand what I said. I don't think he spoke very good English. The store was only 10 minutes from my house. I thought he was just taking the long route. But after sitting in that taxi for three hours, I finally realized-"

Quote
"Hello, you look new in town. I'm miss Honey, the school headmistress. What can I do for you at this late hour?"

Being fully engrossed in her story, Myrtle continued speaking, unaware that miss Honey had answered the door.
"-that he didn't know where he was going. I asked where we were, and he said that we were currently crossing the New Jersey border into Maryland. But you see, I lived in the suburbs of Atlantic City. We were nowhere near my house. Why, I was so mad, I gave that driver a piece of my mind. I demanded that he let me off at the nearest gas station, and after he did, I refused to pay him. I wasn't gonna let myself be scammed by this fraud. Well, he didn't take it very well and angrily called the police on me. Really, he did. Some people just can't accept responsibility for their mistakes. It was such a disappointment!"

Realizing that she was starting to ramble, Myrtle finally got to the point.
"Ah, sorry about that, lad. My story's already pretty long, so I'll just sum up what happened afterward. Basically, long story short, the police arrived at the scene and suddenly placed some handcuffs on me. When I asked why, they told me that my husband was found dead at my house. The neighbors claimed they saw me leave my house in a hurry and never come back. Then that rotten cab driver lied to the police, accusing me of trying to flee the state. I went to court soon after that and was wrongfully convicted of murder. Then those SCP punks grabbed me up and well...here I am."

Finally realizing that miss Honey was present, Myrtle turned toward her and smiled.
"Oh! Why hello there, dearie. How are you doing this fine evening?"

Be friendly.

Myrtle takes a look at the pleasant house.
"Oh my, what a pretty place. It reminds me of my childhood dream house. I remember back when I was in grade school, my friend Agatha and I would come together some days, and walk along the street of 'The Rabbit Hutch' - that's what we called suburbs back in the day - and gaze at all the beautiful architecture. We got to hear so many stories from the soldiers who lived there after returning from the war. Ah, what a time it was to be alive. After the Cold War, I lost touch with Agatha, so I hope she's doing okay. Last I knew, she was looking for a place to live. Oh, Agatha would have loved this house."
