It has a range a range of 10 billion km though. If there aren't any of the specified in that range it doesn't move and send you a message complaining. That said, setting geosurveys to survey nearest body is pretty pratical if you don't plan using that sector in the near future. They will just scan everything in the system and message when they're finished (or if there aren't any bodies in the 10b km range), which saves a lot of labor.Out of curiosity, is there any automation for scouts? I understand the fun of the game is doing so many things yourself, but once expanded it seems to get a bit tedious.Task Groups>Special Orders>Default Orders (Left side)>Primary>Survey nearest XXXX
There you go.
200+ warhead points
HFS
actually, that is exactly what I planned to do. there is a... HFS spawn in a nearby system, and I want to scout it. and after scouting it, annihilate everything as quickly as possible. I just thought that those super missiles would be able to destroy armor and shields easily enough... but I must admit I have never met an enemy with even semi decent point defense , so I may be underestimating them.
Also, a question about TG training. I have a small group of ships set to train, but they don't seem to be getting anything from it. Is there something I need to set up elsewhere, or am I missing something else?
EDIT: One more tiny question. I have my freighters hauling automated miners to various mining colonies in the system, and I have them set to Cycle Orders. The problem is, when they have to refuel, it deletes the haul orders and sets my freighters to refuel indefinitely which forces me to manually reset their orders again. Any way to bypass this?
Hrmm, so I'm still in the early first few years of my game. Followed the tutorial exactly to get started. I'm surveying the beginning system and have come across Venus. It has 3 mineral deposits, all in extremely large numbers.
Duranium 17,000,000
Tritanium 10,000,000
Sorium 13,000,000
The two I'm most interested in, obviously, are the Duranium and Sorium. Problem is, that while the Tritanium has an Acc of 1, Duranium and Sorium have the low rating of Acc .1.
Are they still worth trying to mine out early on, or should I just try and focus on smaller but easier to get deposits elsewhere?
As far as I know, the Infernals have to be summoned by the Ashen Veil, an act that tends to screw both the summoners and everyone else in the world over. Since, you know, you justSpoiler (click to show/hide)
), but as summoning him is a side effect of researching a very powerful tech for ashen veil, it's hard not to do so.
Start a hot-seat game and play the Illians AND Infernals. As a lets play. Time it so that the two factions start the world-conversion process at the same time.
Normal speed, standard map, immortal difficulty - I'd rather see this finish too early than drag on forever.
I discovered this three weeks ago, almost was my ruination because I spent one of my holiday weeks playing this instead of studying. Very addictive.
I usually go for Balseraphs/Perpentarch or Calabim/Flauros, which are my all around favorites. I did a test-run with Illian and found them quite interesting, too. The Sidar I find to be quite boring. I want to test Sheiam and the guys with the king who is a kid possesed by a dragon.
Edit: NinjaedI like the idea of a decadant vampire society ruled by ageless lords who farm their human subjects like cattle, so I vote Calabim. Balseraphs are a good second, as they're sort of what it would be like if Mardi Gras was evil and happened every day across an entire nation.I have the same preferences only the other way around. I like the idea of the Balseraph court with a lot of nobles dressing in various mottley trying to appease the whims of their crazy liege. (The scenes at Nero's court in Quo Vadis come to mind)
), although my most recent game was Kuriotates, and I've been thinking of trying my hand at the Sheaim going to infernal as soon as I can summon them, to try a radically different play style, although I don't really oppose to any race you might want me to play.
