I'd like that, if you could host. And for the pdfs, you'd be looking for GURPS Basic Set - Characters, and GURPS Magic if you wish a mage character. As extra reading you might want to read the GURPS Basic Set - Campaigns, but that's not strictly necessary.

Gah. GURPS magic system is mean.

I suppose maybe a healer/assist-y type would be nice, then. I like to fill that niche of 'skills that are rather useful but nobody can be bothered taking them'. Perhaps I could try and get a dinky little powerstone or something to help me out with those spell-costs...
Not that much actually. High skill reduce the cost of the spells, and I'm also allowing an increase up to 100% in a character's fatigue. Small or Smallish powerstones are not really expensive (check page 20 of GURPS Magic), so sure, you can have it. If you wish, we can work the magic out.

I've already replied about enchanter on PM, but summing it up: You can but it isn't likely to be very fun. If you still want to be a summoner, can fit in the points, and is reasonable at it, sure. Do note that summoning (or for what you wish, probably looking more to the "create" line of spells, such as create warrior) tend to be expensive (as in fatigue points) to create and maintain, and your summoned being are not in your direct control (there might be a exception for a ally with minion, the mindlink advantage and some form of two-way mental communication), instead we gms controling it, with your character giving them orders.

And Yoink, you are certainly welcome. Come make a character at least, and play when you are able to.

Oh, Timezones. I know how you feel. Just a curiosity, which zone one are you in?

And in another note, do remember that the disadvantage limit also includes stats smaller than the average and so on.

Hey folks. I'm available by pm, email, gtalk (just pm me first to inform that you are adding me) or steam, for those who have need of me.

In addition, a little on combat: Very important or powerful enemies are going to surely have access to magic, at least in the form of magical items. Make sure your characters are at least somewhat compatible in melee combat, since there are a few magics that make projectiles a less than ideal choice.

Sounds pretty good. I wonder if we can find a way to justify gym encounters now that the world is ending, but either way, sounds good.
