Alright, I got the image address from opening the image in a new tab, does it work now?
Yep.

EDIT: Mostly. The Minotaur one is super tiny for some reason, and it looks like the second one down is missing a [/img] tag at the end.

317
Are your images broken, Murr? Nothing's showing when I open the spoilers.

There is no grand tale to tell. No big fight, no major victory - just having my head reduced to strawberry jam by a kick from a Forest Titan (ironic, considering I'd already Necro'd another). And then there were all the crashes.

So many crashes.

A warning to anyone playing in the vague north-east (The Land of Temples, specifically): a whole bunch of the shrines there will CTD you, repeatedly and consistently. I don't know why - a look in Legends Mode says they're all Titan-inhabited, rather than some custom monster - but if you fast travel and try to approach them (by d-ing out of FT or otherwise) you CTD.

Good luck, Eric!

I have the file, but it may take me some time to play through and write a proper update (damn you, IRL!).

perfect! take your time, no need to rush.
Okay, my bad: I don't have the file (seems that I downloaded the file from an entirely different thread while tired as hell. Whoops?) and the Dropbox thing keeps saying I don't have access to the file. Is it possible for you to put it on the DFFD?

"Yet neither is Nephilim the one who has launched this poorly-disguised campaign against political dissenters and 'criminals', either. Nor is he the one whose incompetence has seen a political party leader and a citizen of our great fortress condemned to permanent isolation, for the safety of our fortress as a whole."

(Quantum's eyes narrow to slits; she traces a hand across her chest, grimacing in pain).

"And that is without the effects your supposed 'law and order' has been having on our people's morale. I have walked among the fort's halls; I have given ear to their grievances, their sorrows, their frustrations. You let your ambitions for Goldsilver's future blind yourself to the problems before you, and I cannot, in good conscience, support you in this election."

(A moment of silence, before she sighs aloud and crosses her arms. When she speaks next, it is grudgingly so.)

"Yet, by the same token... I must recommend a degree of leniency for Eniteris, should Nephilim gain another term. The problems of his reign are undeniable, aye, but I question the charge of Treason on practical grounds - though the Jester-King may be an incompetent fool, incapable of running a wagon (let alone a kingdom), should word filter back to the Throne that their 'rightfully appointed' Baron was indicted for treason, I doubt that the Jester's response would be a pleasant one.

For now, I will neither nominate myself nor support any candidate. We shall see if it changes in time."

Yep, a DFHack-delivered Exterminatus looks to be in order to defeat the FPS-eating menace.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Necromancer immigrants?
« on: October 15, 2020, 04:59:31 pm »
The second immigrant that showed up in my game was a Potash Maker Necromancer. Had the necromancer icon (Ñ) Other than that, just a normal dwarf. Does he do anything?
He may raise some corpses and intelligent undead - first are bad, as they'll kill your Dwarves, second depends on whether they're ally or enemy. If they're ally, great, you can now resurrect anyone who isn't 'mangled' as a super-powerful undead soldier (though you can't assign them labours, IIRC). If they're an enemy unit or such, you've now got a super-powerful enemy. Bottom line: be careful.

EDIT: ninja'd by Shonai

Journal of Quantum Drop, 253

Damn that thug of a Fisherdwarf. My injuries are not severe, but the fact that morale has continued spiralling enough to lead to this...

Maximum is fairing little better - that soap-obsessed madman of an Overseer has it out for him, I am certain of it! These incarcerations, these 'trials': shambolic at best, an excuse to move against political opponents and old grudge-targets at worst.

I will need to watch my back. Armok help me.

Got an adventurer, trained him to Legendary+5 in fighting, dodging, combat skills, etc. Raided the HFS and got Fruit weapons and armour (not Candy, would've needed a fort). Killed literally dozens of Megabeasts and HFS, from dust-spewing skinless cobras to giant asses with poisonous gas.

Got encased in ice because I didn't check the temperature before trying to train swimming further. That was stupid of me.

Spoiler: With Spoilers Ver. (click to show/hide)

I'm signing up for a turn immediately.

327
(Quantum gives Eniteris a stiff nod).

"Let us hope your words ring true, Eniteris. May Armok guide you."

328
Okay, night trolls go on my list of things to kill on sight.  Holy Christ this is horrifying.  I'm glad I mostly play in fort mode where I don't encounter these things.
Be careful - those damn things are hard to kill with blunt weapons, and can very easily catch you unaware. And for your sake - don't let them grapple you or latch on.

Has there been any response from Unraveller? It's been a few days.
Unraveller hasn't been active since the 28th September, so I doubt we'll be seeing a response. That said, it may be worth sending an email, just in case.

The Accident has already been mentioned - and not elaborated on, for damned good reason - so I'm going to say the 'Nothing' is pretty good on the 'understated creepy' front.

For elaboration, the 'Nothing' is what happens when you bugger up a modded creature (usually by not giving it a body, tissues, or a description, from what I know). It may be able to attack or pick up gear, but trying to get a description of it crashes the game.

Now think of what that creature looks like to your Dwarves.
