I got too excited and misread you, that was embarrassing...  :-[

to add on to the topic before moving on, you can always try adventure mode to find them and their reside... and bring them back to your fort as reanimates, then have it retire in your fort before any of the fighting begins and come back in fort mode if you want to have or even call it a !!fun!! encounter.
food for though, though it would be cool if angels would attack you if you stole their slab

one of my dwarves killed a coati, and they wont butcher it or bring it to a stockpile so It can be butchered, they refuse to touch it, I have a dwarf with all labors turned of cept refuse and burial hauling and he just socializes, standing orders are set only to ignore vermin remains from outside...please help

ah, I was pretty sure they were randoms when I couldn't find them on the wiki, but as I've never seen angels before, I didn't know they were angels, follow up question, can angels appear in fortress mode?

Servant of war
and Ruination of death
anyone else seen these? or is it some kind of randomly generated monster

DF Modding / slaves in 43?

I've seen posts about moding raws to allow animal people as pets, acting basically as slaves, however they seen to posts seem to be mostly in much older versions, is it still possible to do this in 43 (as 44 crashes too often for my liking) and if so, could someone explain how I would so (as I suck at moding) or link to a mod that does this?

from my experiences (which is VERY limited, so take this with a grain of salt) nothing seems to influence it, though sometimes a soon to be necromancer will seek immortality after watching a family member or friend die from old age

is there a mod that adds a race that can trade with you in the winter? winter has always been a dull season for me so i'm hoping something like this would help

I've started a new fort and my manager just sole'd an alligator, he had no weapons or armor, just clothing and his managing skills, and he punched an alligator in the throat and killed it

no like I said, the only option (besides advanced parameters, settings and quit) is create new world...and considering all the crashes and bugs i've had with 44, I'm going back to 43 for a while
