Looks good, but the suit fit could be tailored a little tighter for maximum showiness  ;D

save scumming is already blatantly easy the way it is. If you screw up you can just quick exit and restart from the last morning. Having the sleep save on pc doesn't really do anything to combat that.

Also yeah, I don't see how pedostashe could ever have been considered a good idea.

According to steam reviews it's a complete game but no where near what people was expecting in terms of features and polish. Basically, just another Early Access game declared complete with Early Adopters and backers left with a finished game and an idea of "what could have been".

Looks fun, but kind of disappointing that the Dev has declared it finished and no more updates.

It's basically up to the modders to finish the game.

Another reason to be grateful for Toady, I guess.

I understand being annoyed about graphics for nostalgia sake, if the was what you played with years ago and are accustomed to it. But I was under the impression that Unreal World was always ugly as sin so any progress is better. Hell, might as well complain about DF allowing graphics sets in edition to tilesets too.

I think OP is around so we don't need to bother with a new thread.

Unreal World is coming to Steam in 3 days! http://store.steampowered.com/app/351700 with an updated version. Price is about $11 I believe.

I hope that our beloved Finnish survivalist murder/death simulator gets lots of love.

werecreature attacks tend to spiral out of control for the AI because it doesn't quarantine known werecreatures so month after months someone gets bitten, they kill the werecreature, then next full moon the infected bites more...

It mostly understands military, which is somewhat impressive.

Having run this 24/7 the last few days, here's what it does:

Makes squads
Equips squads
Has squads train by sparring
If a forgotten beast or megabeast attacks, it issues a kill order to the active squads to attack the threat

Now what it fails at:
Reacting to sieges, breaching [SPOILERS], or general multi creature nuisances because it doesn't understand where to station the squads in such a situation. Squads will continue training while most dwarves die only to finally react when they have visual of the enemy.

So in this way I would say that the AI has a better handle of military than 50% of most DF players.

Since it grants smaller SP characters more SP back, it's a way for newbies to get a slightly more even playing field from the old established playerbase.

This being eve, the rich get richer, but I do think that this is a positive change... just the Skill Extractors costing Aurum is kind of a lame moneygrab. but :ccp:

Spoiler: New stream format (click to show/hide)

Yesterday we had a lot of people, over 40! at a time. Today has been quiet for Friday and heading into the weekend, we have 14 viewers currently.

Not much to report. We died repeatedly to zombies, werecreature attacks, and finally had a fort that survived getting down to 2 dwarves before lasting all day. We just started a new fort with zombies (again)!

Or rather, the AI won't be able to use modded reactions but it should not freak out at their inclusion. You will have to use it yourself, as the AI will only do things that it has been programmed to do. You are able to issue commands while the AI is running, but some things like dwarf professions may be auto-reverted by the AI.

Also of note, if you are a newb when it comes to compiling, easy installation instructions are at the bottom of my twitch channel http://www.twitch.tv/kaelgotrice which doesn't require compiling.
