Glad to see you agree with my plan!!
Falerion organizes the craftsmen to fortify the hull of the ship and create more subterranean housing. While they are doing that he draws up plans for a basic flying scout automata, The thopter. It has a birdlike head and flies with a helicopter blade.

Falerion calls out to octal, Karl, and maiena. Alright, here are me thoughts, by the looks o things it would be a good idea to fortify the hull of the airship, turning it into a keep, and building everything that we can either inside the hull or underground, it won't be pleasent but it will be a might bit warmer and safer come winter. Octal, see if you can't train the skailers into a proper guard, arm them with sling staves, long wood poles you stick a dart in the end of, seeing as you are the only one with experience in ranged combat. Karl, could you please lead the peasants to the place maiena found? And have them establish a farm. Maiena, see about investigating one of the structures, I don't care which one, and take the mindblank with you, for safety reasons. As for me, I'll be organizing the craftsmen to expand the underground areas and craft some tools, and draft some plans for automatons for use as scouts, using the soul of a chicken as the power source.

Design for a dark caster
realizing that a firebolt spell might not be useful in all planes we have made a version that fires etching darkness instead.

Guide to Merethian wildlife, The hell eagle.
The hell eagle is 50 pounds of pure Bad attitude and awesomeness. They can have a wingspan of up to twice the size of the next largest bird of prey, and are flock hunters, attacking in groups of up to twenty. These flocks will attack, kill, and eat, just about anything that crosses their flightpath, or is stupid enough to be outside while they are hunting. The list of things they attack includes bears, deer, and humans. Once they have killed prey they haul it back to their nest where their mates, young, and wounded get first pick, then the hunters will eat their fill. These birds are highly intelligent, anything they can't eat from their prey the incorporate into their nest. Some interesting facts about these birds is that they are the only known bird to attack and win against military trucks, the occasional person in bear armor, and planes. This means their nests tend to look like fortresses of scrap metal, walls of salvage bracing the edges of their cave habitats.
At one point the merethian government decided to declare war on the eagles. It was a complete defeat that resulted in the loss of over a hundred men, four truck convoys, several aa guns, and a squadron of fighter planes. This happened due to several flocks banding together to drive off the invaders, the eagles used primitive traps, swarm tactics, and the brutal cold to drive off the human interlopers, the number of eagles killed was 20, with an estimated 50 wounded.
The Emu war has nothing on eagle war one.
The second eagle war resulted in the destruction of five suits of bear armor, another 2 truck convoys, and over 80 men. With similar levels of success.
Don't mess with mereth's wildlife

Oh, that version of the probe was meant to be caught, at which point the canister is ruptured killing whatever caught it. This is the new version, which works very similarly.
Seeker
The seeker is a small hovering golem shaped like a sphere It has several small tentacles wrapped around its form, It uses these to manipulate it's enviroment and as a way to defend in emergencies. It is quite a fast little thing, zipping along with incredible speed. For armaments it has a darkness caster (firebolt caster that shoots etching darkness), fire manipulation, and a set of canisters of pressurized etching darkness, it will rupture these canisters in a sucide attack should it be caught. It pays for all of these with low intelligence, mediocre survivablility, and insatiable curiosity. It is also designed to be cheap-ish, serving as a front line swarm unit, and suicider clearing out the area before our troops enter.
Also
Forging darkness
Based on etching darkness, this form of the deadly substance is able to be commanded by our forces. Strategically solidifying into crystal and able to absorb and eat other substances to turn them into more of itself it is the ultimate tool for making fortifications, roads, and buildings in the field.

The patterian minds act
2 people idle
2 people harvest the farmland at G1 using junk tools
1 person prays to snag.

1154
worker
A small hovering golem the worker is equipped with a set of two small arms, It senses the world through echolocation, and is equipped with basic fire manipulation. It pays for this and its low price tag with being relatively slow, being utter cowards, mild curiosity, and having low intelligence. They serve as workers, Building whatever is needed and Forging weaponry for our main forces.

1155
I did the math, if snag and hasoc work together, i can stretch out ten turns of food, this is with four of my people on idle the whole time. and my one person not idling praying to one of them the whole time. And also if you can't use junk tools to boost prayer
And i have two questions,
1 how long is the famine going to last
and two, what is causing the famine. (I.E. is it a drought, a blight on the crops, or something else)
