remember once you have 1 charcoal from the wood use that to make bituminous coal into 3 coke which is just as valid fuel as charcoal... from then on out just make sure you always have at least 1 unit of fuel and you can be self sustaining...

i will just treat the 7/7 water below as a floor. however i think it would work if you made a U shaped pipe around the top with the right part of it on the outside and lower down by 1 z level, if you pump water in the left side it'll try to equal out on the right and so overflow.
if you have this all the way around the top of the pyramid, it should flow out equally all the way around



that is of course if i understood you correctly and you want the water flowing down the pyramid into the moat equally

the actual size of the image isnt correct, i didnt account for your pumping system to get it up to the top, however the idea is still valid

well since its back... i may as well mention that i got a human/goblin hammerman arrive in a siege today with no lower body... forgot to screenshot it sorry but he was perpetually unconcious until i routed the rest of the goblins and he ran off....

not completely random by the way

Il Palazzo was quite content lately. He admired a fine idea of dropping a depot 20 z-levels down. He was comforted by the sight of myriad of goblin bones. He wondered about the goblin who pretended that his leg hurt to avoid battle.

you could build your sauna over a chasm with grates in the floor and in the chasm have magma and water mixing on 1 tile then getting dropped into the chasm... the only problem would be infinite cave in announcements however i have heard of a utility that allows you to turn these off

what you can do is if you have magma you can capture a fire imp and pit it behind say two bridges one from each side of a pit, the one on the imp's side a drawbridge and the other a retractable so you can lower the drawbridge to allow the imp to fire at say a cat and burn the shrubs then raise the bridge and you will be shrub free for several more years.

a bit confusing but im half asleep atm.

you would be best doing this in an enclosed tree cutting area

This might explain why booze bombs are so unimpressive too.
that doesn't make sense... if it was thicker then it wouldn't be diluted with water and so would be more powerful than watery alcohol... unless you're comparing it to gunpowder...

since brook tiles spawn infinite amounts of water would it be possible to raise or drop the brook tile while keeping it a brook tile so you wouldnt have to pump from the brook?

so you would have to collapse the brook however many Z-levels down while pumping insanely out of the brook so you can get in and build a floor over the hole.

archery... or you could pump water into the chasm faster than it can drain out the bottom which would have to be very very very fast

i got so pissed off with the elves for only bring cloth 5 years in a row on one fort so i locked them in a room til they went insane... coincidentally all the females ran around ripping off their clothes and all the males+animals went berserk or killed themselves when i let them out... lol got some killing and a adult show.

have your military outside a lot of the time because the worst thing is when you send them out to attack and they all come flying out of the gates only to puke and pass out then get clobbered by a bronze colossus.

hmm this starting location, because it has so many units and Z levels goes very slow even when you've just started
