So Deathrattle isn't a hiccup until it's two hiccups.  Interesting; the Kart one is immediately permanent and not curable midrace either?  I guess it wouldn't be nearly as bad as an initial hiccup if not; the only disadvantage that way is the lack of ability to plan around it.

The commander of the Southern Expeditionary Force cared little for the political upheaval at home.  He knew his role, and he knew his orders.  He trusted his troops to do whatever they could to succeed.  The Sol forces were threatening and encroaching to the west, and they would continue to be a threat until he could finish taking possession of the Vlosavi territories and redeploy them westward.  It would take time... more time than they likely had.

But he didn't care.  He had a job, and he would do what he could.

He trusted his men.
