quality equations seems completely broken. only the last step in production is taken into account.

What do you mean Quality Equations?  What seems broken about it?

sorry I did a real shit job of explaining the issue

so, in the original, you had quality 5 water, quality 3 berry research, quality zero power, you'd get around 2.7 or something berries. at each step of production quality was averaged. seems here that it only takes minimum quality for the output, so that having, say, 11q chicken produces 0q chickens if eggs are q0

edit: so basically this, it's a data issue more than a game issue:

everything is configured with no mix in quality value

Ok, I've done a few more configurations on R&D and the quality Variable sets.
Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Never played the previous version of this. Seems only food industry available looking through the tabs? Is that all there is or just whats active currently, or am I missing something.

Edit:
I see theres a couple of other things now, gasoline, napkins, paper towels etc, but mostly food overal.
Looks quite challenging either way to set up some of these goods, almost nothing for sale on the market currently.

Yes, you're correct mostly food.  Farming and Agriculture seemed like good starting points and begin building from there since the DATABASE SQL on github didn't offer any kind of products,  just a blank database which left me with quite a few missing variables and blanks to fill in or re-write.

Open to suggestions : This community is some of my main testers so your opinions matter to since most of you had played the original.

(do you accept pull requests? where's the code now, still on github forked?)

Yes you can still find the original coding on github : https://github.com/yisyang/eos.

Yes, I agree that it will be completely difficult to do and manage everything on your own at first.
I am playing along as well with

BetterMember Power (Having trouble as well maintaining a profit)

My BetterMember LLC company is where I will do much of my testing.

Yes, Quests are disabled on the BetterMember server for right now.  I had most of them working, but I quickly noticed the problem and removed some of the variables in the quarterly scripts that figure the networths.

I agree, the Quest system was one of the big problems with it.  I will do a re-write or maybe even a redirect on that sometime in the future.

Oh yes, I found a variable in the script that you could sell your goods at 100 times the market value.  Plus even more if your quality was higher.

To answer this question, Yes I scaled that way back, which should really put limits on people selling water at 7.00 each.  lol.

LoSboccacc,  I'm not quite sure that I follow you?  I can look at it if you feel their is an error in the script concerning the quality?  I did make some changes to it,  but you'll have to tell me if the problem still exists.

A Noob bumping an old thread!

Not sure how many of you still jump back to EoS from time to time and play or if your an active player.  Like many of you, I enjoyed playing the game and still do.  Although  the main server has been getting really bad lately.

Yes, I tried losteconomy when another programmer tried to move it over to his server.  Eventually giving up and saying most of the code was not fixable.  I found most of the busted up code from github as a few of you did.  I've been working on this project for quite a few months,  I found quite a bit of the code needed restructured and some needed re-written completely.

But I feel that I have something presentable to you hear now.

I ran across this thread when I was looking for members that used to play and enjoyed it.  150 some pages of talks about EoS alone is what grabbed my attention, some enthusiastic players that enjoyed the game as I did and see the potential in it.  So what I am hoping from you is that you'd still be willing to give an old game a go on a new server.

I extend an invitation to you to join my EoS server

My expectations from you.  Exploit what you can, find errors where you will and report them to me.  I already know of very many still  :D but having fresh eyes on it is always better.  Most of all, just let me know what you think, and what other things we could add and create.

Thank you for your time and letting me dust of an old Thread.
