Since there was a request for this:
Griffin and Zebra sprites for stonesense - slate, aka the one bundled with last versions LNP.

just drop into stonesense/creatures/ and overwrite the index.txt

If you're using Nido's version you have to open the griffon.xml and change the CREATURE_ID to pony_lion i think.. whatever it is the lion civ is called, i changed mine to be just griffins :P

Quite correct! they are 2x3 tile workshops that produce apples when applebucking them (gains kicking skill!)
Apples are collected automatically to the apple quality control building, where bad ones are discarded and quality ones are stacked 10 to a basket. Currently the chance of keeping an apple is 80%.
This gives me a bit more control over the output, as i can set the percentage of kept apples, and how many induvidual apples make a single meal.



It is a bit more labor intensive than normal farming, but i think it really adds to the charm :P
Currently, since it uses the stance_strike skill, which everyone has active by default, you may want to activate the manager to set some workshop permissions.

In other news, i have gone ahead with my plan of adding research to MLF:Fanon is Magic :O

I currently have the basic research accumulation working. There will be two primary methods: standard research requires no reagents other than brainpower, and generates one research point.
This is then combined into 5, 25, 125 and 250 bundles since items don't generally stack.
This initial research is then used to unlock certain buildings (see code/readme snippet below)

I haven't quite gotten around to writing down what you can use the spell tomes for, but they'll be used to imbue ponies with magic, or teach them spells.
Since the Alchemy skill is a toggleable skill that is mostly unused im going to use it as the "trigger skill"; you simply turn on alchemy on the pony you want spelled up, and then activate the proper spell in the workshop, he goes over and is gassed with a syndrome rock, standard stuff :P
Ofcourse, this can be exploitable through the stack everyone on top of the building cheat, but i think we're better than that, right? :P

Books will be available from merchants as toys, possibly have zebra bring special books that need lots of study?

Yeah, you see that already in adventure mode. Griffons, Zebra and Buffalo are all quite common sights in pony towns; I suspect ponies will intermingle even more.

make stone-as-flesh versions of ponies with [noeat] [nodrink] [nosleep] and [immobile] tags and make a line of sight attack interaction that lets the cockatrice curse the ponies with long-duration stonification!

Finally got NLR and SE to war! the [CAN_LEARN] instead of [INTELLIGENT] bit did the trick! Thanks for the assistance to those who mentioned it!


I was contemplating doing something fancy with the new interaction system... I know there's been lots of different versions of assorted "Research" reactions where you bring this and that together to accumulate enough research points in the form of items, which you can then use in a reaction to create a different item.
We've also seen that its possible to transmit syndromes via boiling rock, which can be the end result of a reaction.

So I've been toying with the idea of making some caste specific "magic boosts"
For instance if you accumulate 500 research points and possibly collect a rare gem (that is a zebra toy/trade goods), you can create a spell tome that would teach a single unicorn a sleep spell.
Ideas of magic boosts:

Unicorn Magic - Sleep Spell, Heal Spell, Ranged Attack
Pegasus Magic - Burst of speed
Earth Pony - Stat boosts - Massive Recuperation boost on flee?
Generic - Give somepony butterfly wings for X time?

I'd love to hear some feedback on this, especially considering my initial idea was to make a less uh.. feature heavy version of the ponymod :P

These are the only options we currently have for siege triggers

PROGRESS_TRIGGER_POP_SIEGE    level    0 to 5, civ will begin to send sieges against the player civ when this level is reached if it is hostile.
If multiple progress triggers exist for a civ, it will come when any one of them is fulfilled instead of waiting for all of them to be reached. 0 corresponds to no population requirement capable of causing interaction; i.e. population changes do not cause sieges to come. 1 corresponds to 20 dwarves, 2 to 50 dwarves, 3 to 80, 4 to 110, and 5 to 140.

My Little Pony - Fanon is Magic 1.0 beta release

Just thought I'd upload the update for the new version, It has a couple of bugs still, but nothing gamebreaking i think.
Again, this is prepackaged with phoebus tileset and a natural color set for easy-on-the-eye viewing.

Fanon is Magic has already thought of this!

Tho actually, pony lives are alot shorter than dwarf lives because it means migrants are generally younger... Having your entire party being 80+ years old is kinda weird...

Earth Ponies: 80:150
Pegasus Ponies 70:125
Unicorn Ponies 90:175 (because they're wise and have beards and shit)
Alicorn Ponies 1000:2500
