There's something wrong about it all being made out of shale!
Try promoting someone else to the leader of your group and attempt to set a new location for them, and see how that goes.
So I could make everyone perfectly agile, the game would be that much more playable, even if it WAS cheating.
Computer has been up for over a week.
idle time: 323:19:10
firefox: 1:20:22
This evening's dwarf fortress: 36:22 so far.
So my web viewing for a week has taken an hour and twenty minutes of cpu time. DF so far tonight has been 36 minutes. I think DF is the greater processor hog, as I have probably spent more than an hour and 20 minutes reading the forums this week.
It still hasn't caused me to fail my obligation of accidentally causing dwarven riots and doomed fortresses, though.
dump, forbid... even when the cap wears away, I generally don't see them trying to replace it with armor.
By the time everyone finally left the map (that same one took forever to leave) it was mid autumn, and the dwarf caravan never arrived that year.
That was also the year I got the most heinous amount of sieges yet, from every accessible direction. It would have been nice to have the dwarf caravan soldiers help out, but maybe they caught wind of the goblin scent and decided I could fend for myself.
When this happens, if my soldier in question is not already titled in some sort of weapon, I either put the cripple in the fortress guard or give him a crossbow if he isn't terribly slow as a result of the wound.
