2. For sure. As long as number of uncovered (naturally) tiles bumps the mood number it should affect someway (you don't "re-uncover tile which are already uncovered and reveal uncovers them in unnatural way, i.e. it doesn't start scripts for magma/underground water).

As for decorated items - view them in your inventory and you should have their description.
To look at engravings, [l]ook at the tile with them and select appropriate letter (i.e.: a. =Smooth Granite Wall=).

No, it's defined on embark. However you can increase wagons capacity by modifying theim in creature_equipment.txt .

When you build a building, you need a dwarf with special profession enabled. Hower over it with "q" to see them.

We need an ability to pin threads and make a FAQ. This is at least 3rd thread about farming workshop in the last month.

1-man patrols work much better on walls. They won't ALL follow your single leader if he wanted to eat/sleep rending your fortress defenceless.

Here you see the process. It's not explosion - red = hot booze vapors. However it looks like an "explosion" while actually it's steam. But it's very hot and can damage/set on fire creatures easily.

I'm not sure but low fps can be vista proble, too. If not properly configured it may work not too good with DOS apps (which use a lot of resources).

I didn't try to take anything from caged gobbos, but the {P}it activity is simple.
First, you designate the edge (at least 1 square z+1 adjacent to the pit wall) of pit as pit/pond zone. Then you make it pit and through (P) {Shift+p} designate creatures to be thrown into it.

I had the same problem in the 38c... They seldom use targets/spar in barracks. In 38b they did it MUCH more often.

The easies way to have a nice road when you start on rocks... Then you just smooth the stone and everythhing is ok. Also there you usually NEED it (because you smooth boulders to let the wagons pass... And I usually turn this "smoothed here and there" path into a road to train my legendary engravers).

Also you can keep 1 untame and let it spit web in your nearby dwarves. I think they spit over fortifications, do they? Thus you'll have a lot of silk. Just make sure in this case not to let your crossbowdwarves too close.
