I'd love to see a Fallen London/Echo Bazaar themed mod. We could have fallen cities (Jerusalem?, Alexandria?, Cuzco?, Karakorum and London) as playable civs, and devils, rubbery men and rattus faber as non playable civs.
I guess this can't be done well untill we get caverns embark and sailing though,
Fallen London is actually what inspired my The Fall mod which is currently in the works. Some castes of Crooked Men are like rubbery men. Bats and cats for pets. However lately it starts to receive more diablo-esque elements like chtonic creatures underground etc. However Fallen London did have Brass embassy, demons and the like, so it may not be too far off.

In older version of Wanderer's friend and in Genesis iterations there was fur as a type of weak leather, also with suede, hide and scale.
Do you plan to add more variety to leather types and change the material toughness based on the animal type? That would be a great expansion.

I picked the Phoebus version for 2015, linked in the first post.
It is not that the reaction is failing, but it is missing completely for me.

I probably did not update the post in time. I did cut it out because it was too easy to get meals anywhere, and I was not willing to make a more complex reaction while there's a lot of other food sources. If you have fun ideas, I will be happy to implement them later.

Oh, someone found my creatures. I forgot I ever created them. Hah. They are supposed to be "alien"-like species from the evil biomes. Not like in Alien movies, just very different to normal wildlife.

There are various types of xen creatures. I think it's from my old Genesis Reborn. They have an illithid-like society, just based on soul consumption, not brain consumption.

I am not sure if Meph took them from the mod version where they have not reproduced yet, or where they already started doing it. I may look into that ;).

BLOODSUCKER gives a creature all vampiric behaviors, full stop.  It even works with pets.  Although, it could be that NO_AGING does something as well, you can see in worldgen people become suspicious when a creature does not age.

No.  Or rather, yes, but it won't do anything.  The only way for a vermin to influence another creature is with a vermin bite.
Can you elaborate on "pets" part if you have the info? What if I make an interaction which has a chance to give BLOODSUCKER to cats? Will they drink blood and drain people to death as normal vampires do, and will dwarves try to report that as a crime?

Normal semimegabeast hearts won't fit anymore.

Only griffins produce lesser soulgems when butchered, and megabeasts produce soulgems.
Lesser soulgem can be turned into 1 arcane catalyst. Soulgem can be turned into 5 arcane catalysts.

1 hour nopain/noexert pills cost 1 catalyst each.
Stat-buffing potions cost 2 catalysts each.
Permanent extravision potion costs 3 catalysts.
Permanent noexert potion costs 5 catalysts.

Okay, it is stupid. Even inorganic materials (i.e. gems dropped from gizzards) cannot be used in reactions if the creature is intelligent >.<.

You can have a reaction taking some item from specific material. However the game will let you select a different material based on the item type instead.

You can trust people not abusing this, but it is still broken.

I will just make EBO soulgems which can be crushed for alchemy or something.

I double checked it from work, it is done exactly in a same way. I mean I could make some stupid mistake, but it is unlikely. It literally does the same both to ettins and dragons :). That's why I am interested to check it immediately, just gotta finish my work document.

Checked again, the material definition (slapping REACTION_CLASS after [SELECT MATERIAL:HEART] in creature raw) and reaction reagents are IDENTICAL. Literally no clue how this works for one and does not work for another :P.

Yeah, there are many ways to do it. Still unsure why [REACTION:megabeast heart] works, and [REACTION:semimigabeast heart] is not understood :P. Something fishy is going on here.
