Oceania Variable Barrel mod. 1
The Oceania is a damn fine platform (unlike certain recent things), but it's built for a certain environment and a certain role, and there's no guarantee we'll be in that environment or need that role too much.
The Variable Barrel mod fixes this by allowing only part of the barrel to be stored in the NSS instead of the all or nothing storage currently in use. For ease of use, this has been separated into several segments selected by turning a switch to a position: Battpe Rifle, DMR, Sniper Rifle, and Anti-material Rifle. While lower positions have greater handling, fire rate, and "magazine size", they sacrifice damage and range to do it.
Strix Cloak improvements
The Strix is clearly the greatest thing to take to the skies, but it could be better.
We've modified the cloaking system to be more stable, allowing it to handle a 5-second burst from the Oceania without decloaking, though it needs to rest for another 5 seconds before it can take another burst. To properly capitalize on this we've added extra lines to the turret programming to fire off these 5 second bursts on command.
This one is a class gear design for the HA, not a revision.
Heavy Assault Modular Shielding System
The Heavy Assault class has not gotten much love from us in all honesty, even the Engineer got part of something new, and well, we tried to make something for the medics, but the HAs have gotten nothing.
The HAMSS is a bit bigger than the basic overshield, and has space for 3 modules. The first module slor is for form module, currently occupied by a UBM-Kelly, thus creating a fairly standard looking overshield with an emphasis on core protection. The other two module slots are for resistance modules, these interface with most of our basic ubms to give special resistances, so the Bonnie and Clyde both provide resistance against a lot of individually weak shots, the Oswald provides extra resistance against high power shots (especially headshots), The Ruby does something similar but for chest shots, and the Kaczynki and Wellington both provide resistance against explosions.
