Its been said in the devlogs in the that druids are a bit more prominent now to decide how their religions are run on elf-sites, and that while toady was preetty sure demon worship was still a thing from the old days, he'd appreciate whatever tinkering modders could do to rectify it. (image attached, look to January's FotF reply thread + devlogs for that time)

Yes, through the CREATURE_CLASS tag, which you can define however you want in the creature file, and then the ANIMAL tag in the entity raws. Label the creature class as ALWAYS_PRESENT under the ANIMAL tag and bam the civ has the animals.

It's because they have the [EVIL] tag to my understanding. And the goblin entity has the [USE_EVIL_ANIMALS] tag which lets them use creatures with the aforementioned tag as well as creatures with the [SLOW_LEARNER] tag which trolls have.

Semi-related to FantasticDorf's question above, but referring to the previously noted lack of pushback by demons and druids on organized religions converting those in their sphere for goblins and elves respectively. Is tackling this in the works for the initial release or has it been pushed to a related release after the main villains release?

How add regeneration to all tissues of one creature?

It's not true regeneration (you need a body transformation to restore things like chopped off limbs), but it is a higher healing rate than the average to my understanding.

Please pardon my adding another question to the mix, but how does one go about adding additional food items? Such as for example types of bread or other foods made from the ingredients available in the game.

You can add them via the food item types, there's one vanilla file in the raws for that and some info on the wiki about it, but dwarves will throw whatever ingredients they wanting them, so they'll make stuff like leopard tallow and sand pear bread. Made solely from tallow and pears. So it'll always be wonky and you can't specify ingredients for recipes except by making reactions that make specific material+item types combos.

I see. The first instance sounds incredibly dorfy though I will admit. XD

EDIT: I'm also wondering where in the files the food reactions are because all I can find are the food item raws.

If they have the INTELLIGENT tag and can join civs, then they're gonna be wearing clothes in all likelihood. Otherwise the animal people in (primarily) elven civs wouldn't wear clothes and armor I'd imagine.

@EternalCaveDragon: It would be hard for a Were to implement any schemes since the phase where they can spread the curse (i.e. the Were phase) is one where they're completely overcome by rage, and thus unable to implement anything they might have planned. The problem is similar to that of sapient undead who are Opposed to Life (if that's how Toady implements them): the urge overpowers any plans.

They can still ensure they're in a position for maximum spread of infection prior to the full moon and then move on afterward. It's a simplistic and haphazard plan but it's still planning that they'd be plenty capable of when in their non-were form.

A couple questions this time. Also sorry for contributing to the unnecessarily long and heated discussion from long before.

1. With the necromancers getting world conquest as a goal. Will other supernatural villains (vampires, werebeasts, and demons) that currently exist be getting similar goals as well? Such as for example a vampire wanting to increase the amount of vampires in the world and/or induct everyone into their associated cult. Or a werebeast getting the idea of turning everyone they can into werebeasts of their type.

1a. Same as above, but will the conventional villains also gain such aspirations? Would it require that their aspiration in life is to rule the world?
