You all just don't get the severity of the problem here, we are talking about My-day the 13th.
The date that Mayans predicted their strictly Linear calander will reach it's 13th b'ak'tun. The Mayans have NEVER been wrong about predictions in a similar nature in the past!

You can bet that every desktop computer currently in my possession is safely wrapped in aluminum foil, and I'm keeping my tomato sauce in metallic containers that require a special manual tool to open because I might not use them before Myday the 13th.

You gotta be prepared!

They agreed not to go to the ICC immediately when they were trying to get votes from Europe.

I forgot exactly whom, but I want to say Germany.

I really do thing the abstains were "We'd support you, but we don't want to piss the USA off."

Because the USA is holding Israel's turned-out pocket for some odd reason.

It's always interesting how people from other states (or countries?) seem to think Seattle is the crux of civilization in Washington state :P  It's not even the capitol of Washington, guys.  (Just poking fun, don't take it personally)
New York City isn't even the Capitol of New York State, and it's urban area spills into SEVERAL other states, but you don't see THEM legalizing Marijuana. Damn hippy states.

Entitlement is a nation gambling that the people they help out, freeing them from the survival requirement forcing them in the labor pool, pays off with inventions and new ideas.

If you start looking at it that way, maybe you can see why food stamps is a good thing.

We get our steller people who grew up on welfare. The question for you entitlement eliminatists is, is what the government paid into the system worth the chance of great people coming out, or would you rather conserve those resources and not have the Quality of Life increases innovation brings?

I'd rather have my money sapped by a welfare state than live in a place like the America some people describe. Fortunatly that is where I live.

Keep in mind, you people, that Toady One is UNEMPLOYED!

The PA agreed not to go to the ICC for Past wrongs. They move settlers in now, and they won't be breaking their word to go there.

Al Jazera is a good source, as is the BBC. Those are my 2 sources, with Yahoo to find out what I am supposed to be thinking according to the gov'mnt.

US marines are more like the 0.08%

yea, so super-rich, not just rich.
LASER-VISION!

Still, robots are cheaper, and the rich wouldn't want to leave their fancy martian resorts and do manual labor, so no Space Marines. Sorry.

Space Marines are unlikely to happen. We are going more towards Avatarism, and it's cheaper and more efficient to go mecha over organics. Either way you don't want Genetically engineered superhumans, due to the dangerous potential for rebellion. Hard enough to prevent coups as it is when they aren't biologically much different from the governing forces.

And you can keep your pet mammoth and pet Triceratops there too!

Rail guns always have recoil. However, the laws of physics say that recoil on a railgun doesn't matter to ground-based firing platforms (from human rifleman to megamecha) thanks to friction. To move something on the ground you have to apply enough direct force to overcome friction, the exact amount dependant on the gravity and surface of the world. This is true for anything that fires something that impacts a target with force.

Bipedal tanks aren't out of the question from physics or a usability standpoint, but as they aren't robotic devices, chances are they won't be deployed. A "shell" body might though.

Pretty sure you can find extremists for every political alignment. Pick my brain and you'll find at least a dozen radical views.
You want to do WHAT to that platypus?
Only if it consents.

(note: being facetious :P )
So... What you are saying is that you don't want a consenting one?

Hey, where's Perry?

They take the cancer and implant it into mice, encourage it to grow. Providing sources isn't practical on a phone that doen't allow copy paste, which is all I have. Your google keywords are mice cancer transplant.

You are looking for information on the "transplantation mouse models"

I believe this is the source of the "Eek! A Penis!" southpark eposode. It seems lame in comparison to growing an entire sheep, but that doesn't mean it's unrelated research, or that cloning is worthless.
